CMT has announced its executive team for the 2022 “CMT Music Awards,” set to air on SUNDAY, APRIL 3rd, 2022 at 7p (CT) on CBS and PARAMOUNT+. CMT’s MARGARET COMEAUX, SWITCHED ON ENTERTAINMENT’s JOHN HAMLIN and CMT’s LESLIE FRAM will serve as the executive producers. This marks COMEAUX and HAMLIN’s 14th and FRAM’s 10th year leading the show, which is moving from CMT to CBS for the first time next year.

THE ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC (ACM) will be moving its ENCINO, CA-based headquarters to NASHVILLE next year (NET NEWS 11/2/20). The ACM has made the first step in the full transition to TENNESSEE by signing a lease with ADVENTUROUS JOURNEYS (AJ) CAPITAL PARTNERS to open its first NASHVILLE-based office after being headquartered in CALIFORNIA for more than five decades. The ACM NASHVILLE office will be part of the NASHVILLE WAREHOUSE COMPANY, a 5.2 acre campus, located less than two miles SOUTH of Downtown NASHVILLE.

Congratulations to country star Jimmie Allen on the arrival of his third child, Zara James Allen over the weekend. Zara and mamma Alexis are doing well, and the we wish them the very best going forward in life. It is the second child for the couple, who welcomed daughter NAOMI BETTIE in 2019. ALLEN also has a seven-year-old son, AADYN, from a previous relationship.

CMT today revealed its all-star lineup of performers for the 2021 “CMT Artists of the Year” special, airing LIVE from Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center on Wednesday, October 13th at 9p/8c on CMT. The celebration promises to be an unforgettable night, with a stacked lineup of solo performances from 2021 honorees Gabby Barrett, Kane Brown and Luke Combs plus four can’t-miss world premieres. This year’s “Breakout Artist of the Year” Mickey Guyton will take the stage alongside fellow GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Yola; Boyz II Men will team up with Kevin Olusola of Pentatonix for a never-before-seen collaboration to honor Chris Stapleton; Kelsea Ballerini will welcome her fellow tourmates Jonas Brothers for a special remote performance straight from their “The Remember This Tour”; and Walker Hayes will make his CMT “Artists of the Year” debut with the first-ever award show performance of his smash hit “Fancy Like.”

Alan Jackson Reveals Degenerative Nerve Condition During ‘Today’ Interview

Alan Jackson revealed in an interview on NBC’s “TODAY” show this morning that he is battling a degenerative nerve condition known as Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) disease. The hereditary condition, which he was diagnosed with a decade ago but kept private, affects his ability to walk and keep his balance. JACKSON, who is 62, said his grandmother, father and oldest sister also had the condition, which damages limb muscles.
