LeAnn Rimes Supports Tornado Victims

LeAnn Rimes Holds Benefit for Victims of Recent Tornadoes. With yet another bout of tornadoes and storms devastating parts of the U.S., country stars and country music fans continue to rally in support of the victims coping with the aftermath. LeAnn Rimes and husband Eddie Cibrian are no exception. Rimes has announced she will be co-hosting a special event with Cibrian, “An Evening with Leann Rimes” in an effort to raise funds and support those still reeling from the consequences of the storms. “We all need a hand sometimes and this is the time. Our heart goes out to Alabama and Missouri and all those affected by the recent tragedies there. I am happy Eddie and I can help out in some way.” -LeAnn Rimes The benefit will include an all acoustic set performed by Rimes as well as a silent auction before the show with signed memorabilia from Reba McEntire, Kelly Clarkson, Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian, and the cast of Glee. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to bid on a special auction for a private drink with Rimes and Cibrian after the show. The concert and auction will be held at Jacksonville’s Ponte Vedra Concert Hall on Sunday, June 5th. Tickets run for $65.00 or $100.00 for VIP seating. VIP seating also includes an autographed photo from LeAnn Rimes and a private Q&A. All proceeds will go to benefit the victims of the recent storms.

Country Star Line-up Featured at First Show Me Music and Arts Festival. The first ever Show Me Music and Arts Festival will take place June 17-19 in Springfield, MO, and will feature a line-up of country music stars on the festival’s main stage including Tim McGraw, Trace Adkins, Little Big Town, David Nail, and Big & Rich (see below for a complete list of performances and stage details). The festival will also feature the Show-Me Saloon Stage with additional musical performances, a Celebrity Chef Pavilion Stage with Food Network stars like Chefs Robert Irvine, Ellie Krieger, and Aaron McCargo, and a Comedy Tent Stage including acts from comedians Jamie Kaler and Jon Reep. Besides all the entertainment available for festival attendees, there will also have a Kid Zone which includes a Ferris Wheel, games, and entertainment, the Show-Me Arts and Crafts area featuring over 30 exhibitors, and many food and drink vendors featuring festival fare from all over the world. Taylor Swift Raises $750,000 For Relief Efforts

Taylor Swift’s Speak Now…Help Now Raises Substantial Funds for Tornado Relief Efforts. With more devastating storms hitting Oklahoma and Missouri Sunday night, it is comforting to see so many country stars, including Taylor Swift, doing what they can to aid in relief efforts. Saturday, May 21st, Taylor opened her final dress rehearsal for the North American leg of the Speak Now tour to fans to raise funds for tornado relief programs. With only two weeks notice, she managed to pack the arena, and the ticket sales alone accumulated $750,000. Taylor also told the audience during the performance all merchandise sales from the evening would also be donated. “I felt like if it was possible to help them in any way, we should do it.” -Taylor Swift As a bonus, fans received a complementary red souvenir t-shirt. All of the sales from the concert event were donated directly to help tornado victims via the Speak Now … Help Now Fund established through the Community Foundation of Middle Tennesse.

Taylor Swift Will Stream Excerpts for “Speak Now…Help Now” Concert. Taylor Swift announced earlier this month that she would be opening up the final dress rehearsal of her “Speak Now” tour to fans in an effort to raise funds for victims of the storms which devastated much of the region. Taylor has also recently announced plans to stream two songs from the performance, and will include information for how fans watching online can also get involved with relief efforts. The dress rehearsal takes place at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 2. Tickets are available now for $50, and all proceeds will go to the Speak Now…Help Now Fund established through the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. Alabama Announces Bama Rising Benefit Concert

Alabama to Host Bama Rising Benefit Concert to Support Tornado Recovery. Alabama is spearheading efforts for the event “Bama Rising: A Benefit Concert for Alabama Tornado Recovery” intended to aid victims of the tornadoes which raged through the area on April 27th. Sponsored by Verizon, the concert will take place June 14th at Birmingham’s BJCC Arena. This concert is set to be an all-star event with several of country’s brightest slated to perform including Brad Paisley and Martina McBride (a complete list of performers is included below). “My hope is that this will bring happiness and help to my fellow citizens in Alabama. I believe it’s extremely important that we do this benefit, and I want everyone in the state to feel like they are part of it. I hope we all can pull together to help get through the worst natural disaster I’ve ever seen in Alabama. Gary Allan at 2011 CMA Music Fest

Gary Allan Kicks-Off 2011 CMA Music Festival. Gary Allan will be performing on the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage in the first round of daily performances at the 2011 CMA Music Festival, Thursday June 9th at 10am. Interestingly, this will mark Allan’s first appearance at the Festival since 2006. The daily concerts on the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage are intended to highlight country talent from the past, present and future (rising stars!). Garth Brooks Announces New Concert Dates. Garth Brooks has found a warm and welcoming crowd at the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas having performed to sold-out crowds since December 2009, and clearly he plans on staying for at least a little while longer! He has just announced that he will be offering additional performances starting in the fall. So far the concert dates include: August 9th and 20th September 9th, 10th, 23rd, and 24th October 7th, 8th, 21st, and 22nd November 4th and 5th Concert times are set for 8pm and 10:30 pm PT, and tickets will be available Saturday, May 21st at 10am PT. Memorial Day Weekend Rocklahoma Details Have Been Announced. Rocklahoma otherwise known as “America’s Biggest Memorial Day Weekend Party” has announced complete details! The weekend-long event has been a fixture on the festival scene since 2007, and this year is sponsored by Bud Light. It will kick off the summer right, May 27-29 at the “Catch the Fever” Festival Grounds in Pryor, OK which is roughly forty-five minutes Northeast of Tulsa. David Nail to Give Fan Appreciation Party During CMA Music Fest. David Nail will be kick starting CMA Music Fest week by hosting a fan appreciation party in Nashville, TN on June 8th. The party will take place at The Tin Roof at 3pm, and will be free and open to the public on a first come, first serve basis. David has invited along some special guests including songwriters Jonathan Singleton (“Let It Rain” “Red Light”), Lee Miller (“This Time Around”) and Scooter Carusoe (“Turning Home” “Again”). This party give fans chance to meet David one-on-one and additionally they will have the opportunity to ask David a few questions in a Q&A session during the party.

Kenny Chesney Is Keeping Tuscaloosa, AL Tour Date and Donates Fees to Area Relief Efforts. Kenny Chesney has announced that the concert scheduled for May 25th in Tuscaloosa, AL will go on as originally planned despite the devastation in the area caused by the recent storms. Kenny also announced all fees for himself and his band, plus all earnings for his management and booking representatives will be donated to “Give Tuscaloosa” to aid in relief efforts. “When we first heard about this tragedy we were stunned, as we have so many fans in the area and have enjoyed every visit that we’ve made there over the years.
