Brad Paisley Kicks Off His 2011 Tour This Weekend! One of the best things about summer time in the world of country music is that everyone goes on tour, and there are limitless opportunities for a good party! Brad Paisley‘s wild and exciting tour H2O II: Wetter & Wilder World Tour presented by Chevy is a perfect example. Back by popular demand, this is the follow up to last year’s similarly themed concert extravaganza. The much anticipated tour will kick off this weekend in Virginia Beach, VA on June 3rd followed by Hartford, CT on June 4th. Special guests on the main stage include Blake Shelton and Jerrod Niemann. The tour is bringing back the very popular and fan favorite “Water World Plaza,” turning every city into a water festival. The primary focal point in the Plaza will be the “Water World Plaza Stage” featuring new and rising country stars Edens Edge, Sunny Sweeney and Brett Eldredge and the JaneDear Girls alternating show dates. Adding even more fun, there will be multiple water-themed activities – including a Chevy H2O FLW fishing simulator, dunking booth, slip n slide, and other various water games. All said and done, the tour will cover 30 cities including four stadiums and an international leg covering London’s O2 Arena, Dublin, Stockholm, Oslo and more. Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina At Opry

Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina Career Debuts at Grand Ole Opry. Well, we already know American Idol winner, Scotty McCreery, and runner-up Lauren Alaina are headed to Nashville for next week for the CMT Music Awards and CMA Music Festival. Now, it seems they are packing even more into their already busy schedule of appearances and performances. Both are interested in pursuing a country music career, and it looks like they will be making their debuts in one of the most iconic ways possible, through the Grand Ole Opry. The two have been added to the Friday, June 10th concert at the Opry, joining the ranks of Randy Travis and Billy Ray Cyrus who are also scheduled to perform that night. As if that wasn’t enough, Scotty and Lauren will also be heading out Saturday with Vince Gill, Dierks Bentley, David Nail and others for the 21st annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge to raise money for the City of Hope’s life-saving research, treatment and education programs in the fight against cancer. Scotty’s and Lauren’s schedules are wearing me out! Next week is going to be intense for them, but what an amazing opportunity for the two to be able to sing at the Grand Ole Opry especially so soon after wrapping up Idol. Not to mention how amazing it must seem for the two of them to be sharing the stage and getting involved with some of country music’s most popular alumni.

Luke Bryan Headlines CMT On Tour

Luke Bryan Will Be Headlining CMT On Tour This Fall. The 10th Annual CMT On Tour kicks off in September and Luke Bryan has been announced as the headliner for the concert series. The tour will follow up on the release of Bryan’s third studio album, Tailgates & Tanlines, on August 9th. He will be joined by Lee Brice and Josh Thompson. Luke has expressed excitement over the chance to get involved with the popular tour. “It’s all about having fun on stage with the band and giving our fans a night of entertainment. I certainly am following in good footsteps of the other artists who have had the opportunity to headline a CMT Tour. CMA Music Festival Welcomes Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina! American Idol winner Scotty McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina are wasting no time, and are jumping straight into the country music industry head first. As Idol winner and runner-up, the pair put the national music spotlight directly on country music right in time for the 2011 CMA Music Festival in Nashville next week. Details are still being ironed out, but it seems fans can expect to see both Scotty and Lauren at this year’s CMA Music Festival. “I think we’re gonna try and get me and Lauren out there to (Fan Fair) this year. They’re trying to work out the specifics right now about where we’re gonna be playing, the booth signings and maybe playing at the Grand Ole Opry. They’re working all this out as we speak. But we’re gonna be down there for sure, I think.” -Scotty McCreery No doubt both the finalists lives have been turned upside down by their explosive entrance into fame, but they seem to be making the best of the insanity and getting right down to business. The 2011 CMA Music Festival, formerly known as Fan Fair, will be taking place at Nashville’s LP Field next week, June 9-12.

Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton Raise Bundle for Relief

Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton Raise Large Sum through Benefit Concerts. Reba and Blake Shelton hosted two “Tornado Relief Concerts” at the Choctaw Events Center in Durant on May 25th and 26th, and managed to raise a total of $500,00 as both shows sold out. The proceeds are being donated to victims of recent severe storms and tornadoes in Atoka County, OK. Both Reba and Blake are Oklahoma natives, and organized the two shows in an effort to show their supports for their fellow Oklahomans. Both performances lasted for over two hours and each included a jam-packed set and an encore. The pair co-headlined the event, opening with a duet of “Oklahoma Swing.” The two sang a combination of their hits including Reba’s “The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia,” “Why Haven’t I Heard From You,” “Turn on the Radio” and “Consider Me Gone,” and Blake’s “All About Tonight,” “Goodbye Time,” “Hillbilly Bone” and “Some Beach.” The set lists also included more recent singles like Reba’s “When Love Gets a Hold of You” and Blake’s chart-topping “Honey Bee“. At the May 26th show, fans were greeted with a special treat as Susie McEntire-Eaton and Kelly Clarkson stopped by for surprise appearances. All proceeds raised from both shows and donations from The Choctaw Nation and fans, will go towards Atoka County’s ongoing relief efforts through the Tushka Disaster Relief Fund. Additionally, for those still wanting to lend a helping hand, a special mobile fundraising campaign has been set up with The mGive Foundation. Fans can text “OKGIVE” to 27722 to make a one-time $10 donation, which will be added to their monthly cell phone bill. LeAnn Rimes Supports Tornado Victims

LeAnn Rimes Holds Benefit for Victims of Recent Tornadoes. With yet another bout of tornadoes and storms devastating parts of the U.S., country stars and country music fans continue to rally in support of the victims coping with the aftermath. LeAnn Rimes and husband Eddie Cibrian are no exception. Rimes has announced she will be co-hosting a special event with Cibrian, “An Evening with Leann Rimes” in an effort to raise funds and support those still reeling from the consequences of the storms. “We all need a hand sometimes and this is the time. Our heart goes out to Alabama and Missouri and all those affected by the recent tragedies there. I am happy Eddie and I can help out in some way.” -LeAnn Rimes The benefit will include an all acoustic set performed by Rimes as well as a silent auction before the show with signed memorabilia from Reba McEntire, Kelly Clarkson, Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian, and the cast of Glee. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to bid on a special auction for a private drink with Rimes and Cibrian after the show. The concert and auction will be held at Jacksonville’s Ponte Vedra Concert Hall on Sunday, June 5th. Tickets run for $65.00 or $100.00 for VIP seating. VIP seating also includes an autographed photo from LeAnn Rimes and a private Q&A. All proceeds will go to benefit the victims of the recent storms.

Country Star Line-up Featured at First Show Me Music and Arts Festival. The first ever Show Me Music and Arts Festival will take place June 17-19 in Springfield, MO, and will feature a line-up of country music stars on the festival’s main stage including Tim McGraw, Trace Adkins, Little Big Town, David Nail, and Big & Rich (see below for a complete list of performances and stage details). The festival will also feature the Show-Me Saloon Stage with additional musical performances, a Celebrity Chef Pavilion Stage with Food Network stars like Chefs Robert Irvine, Ellie Krieger, and Aaron McCargo, and a Comedy Tent Stage including acts from comedians Jamie Kaler and Jon Reep. Besides all the entertainment available for festival attendees, there will also have a Kid Zone which includes a Ferris Wheel, games, and entertainment, the Show-Me Arts and Crafts area featuring over 30 exhibitors, and many food and drink vendors featuring festival fare from all over the world. Taylor Swift Raises $750,000 For Relief Efforts

Taylor Swift’s Speak Now…Help Now Raises Substantial Funds for Tornado Relief Efforts. With more devastating storms hitting Oklahoma and Missouri Sunday night, it is comforting to see so many country stars, including Taylor Swift, doing what they can to aid in relief efforts. Saturday, May 21st, Taylor opened her final dress rehearsal for the North American leg of the Speak Now tour to fans to raise funds for tornado relief programs. With only two weeks notice, she managed to pack the arena, and the ticket sales alone accumulated $750,000. Taylor also told the audience during the performance all merchandise sales from the evening would also be donated. “I felt like if it was possible to help them in any way, we should do it.” -Taylor Swift As a bonus, fans received a complementary red souvenir t-shirt. All of the sales from the concert event were donated directly to help tornado victims via the Speak Now … Help Now Fund established through the Community Foundation of Middle Tennesse.

Taylor Swift Will Stream Excerpts for “Speak Now…Help Now” Concert. Taylor Swift announced earlier this month that she would be opening up the final dress rehearsal of her “Speak Now” tour to fans in an effort to raise funds for victims of the storms which devastated much of the region. Taylor has also recently announced plans to stream two songs from the performance, and will include information for how fans watching online can also get involved with relief efforts. The dress rehearsal takes place at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 2. Tickets are available now for $50, and all proceeds will go to the Speak Now…Help Now Fund established through the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. Alabama Announces Bama Rising Benefit Concert

Alabama to Host Bama Rising Benefit Concert to Support Tornado Recovery. Alabama is spearheading efforts for the event “Bama Rising: A Benefit Concert for Alabama Tornado Recovery” intended to aid victims of the tornadoes which raged through the area on April 27th. Sponsored by Verizon, the concert will take place June 14th at Birmingham’s BJCC Arena. This concert is set to be an all-star event with several of country’s brightest slated to perform including Brad Paisley and Martina McBride (a complete list of performers is included below). “My hope is that this will bring happiness and help to my fellow citizens in Alabama. I believe it’s extremely important that we do this benefit, and I want everyone in the state to feel like they are part of it. I hope we all can pull together to help get through the worst natural disaster I’ve ever seen in Alabama.
