Kenny Chesney’s College Football Moments Get Criticism

It seems that not all college football fans are fans of Kenny Chesney! In a recent post at SportingNews.com it was made perfectly clear that Kenny Chesney‘s “Our Moment”  clips should be cut from college football on ESPN. While I can’t say that I fully agree, I did get tired of seeing the same clip at almost every commercial break and was relieved to find out that it would not be shown for every game. As it turns out, ESPN is only using these clips, along with others from artist Dave Matthews, for the season opener, very big games, and the last day of the regular season. I guess during those games that will be my “moment” to go grab a drink. [youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWpJusn12Jc]Country Music Photo Gallery

Country Music Hall of Fame Looks to a Bigger Future

Country Music HOF Has Dreams Of Expansion Just like most of us, the Country Music Hall of Fame has a dream, and according to the Tennesean, that dream is to double its current size. During a recent speech at the Rotary Club, Music City Mayor Karl Dean mentioned that the HOF is interested in expanding it’s current 140,000-squar-foot facility and HOF Director Kyle Young confirmed the idea in a later interview. Both parties agree that at this point, it is just an idea. The two have met regarding the expansion, but nothing has been confirmed at this time.Country Music Photo Gallery

Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray up close with AOL

Miley Cyrus teams up with father Billy Ray Cyrus for a very special AOL Session performance Miley Cyrus is killing the billboard charts with her current hit single “The Climb” and at the same time she’s dominating the box office with her newly released film “Hannah Montana: The Movie“, and now in a special performance at AOL Sessions, Miley demonstrates that she’s more than just a tweener pop icon. Miley slips out of the manufactured rockstar  image and lets a truly special and authentic performance shine through. I haven’t ever been a Miley fan myself, perhaps because having two young daughters has just led me to become supersaturated with her material, so this performance caught me off guard in such a surprisingly good way. Tell me what you think? Has Miley channeled a little Stevie Nicks on the stage or what? Catch more of this Miley Cyrus AOL Session now!Country Music Photo Gallery

Steve Holy Gets Held at Gunpoint

Steve Holy‘s new album “Men buy the drinks” may not be the best advice after all. According to CMT , Steve was out having drinks, took the party home, then found himself held at gunpoint: “Two Dallas police officers are on administrative leave after allegedly holding Steve Holy and a friend at gunpoint at the singer’s home in Dallas during the early hours of Dec. 27. The Dallas County district attorney’s office is investigating to determine whether aggravated assault charges should be filed against officers Randy Anderson, 25, and Paul Loughridge, 48. Holy said he and a friend were at a bar on Greenville Avenue when he began talking to an off-duty police officer he was acquainted with who introduced him to Anderson and Loughridge, who were also off duty at the time. After the bars closed, the five returned to Holy’s house to play foosball. When the officer Holy knew left the house, Anderson and Loughridge began questioning whether he was a country singer and became belligerent even after he showed them a CD cover. At one point, the two men allegedly held a gun to the back of Holy’s head while he was face down on the kitchen floor. They eventually allowed Holy to go upstairs to get his identification, and he told his wife to call 911.” I can hear the radio parody now… “I got a brand new guardsman… I had him trained just to defend… ” ~WC~Country Music Photo Gallery
