Taylor Swift’s new single, Mine, hits airwaves ahead of schedule. It seems Taylor Swift is the victim of modern-day pirates, as a bootleg recording of her new single “Mine” circulated around the web in the last few days. Taylor was set to release the single August 16th, but upon landing in Japan a few days ago, Taylor learned that Big Machine Records was forced to rush the track to radio stations and online distribution two weeks ahead of schedule to capitalize on the swelling buzz of fans searching for the leaked track. To get the track in a fair and supportive manner, pick it up on iTunes! “Mine” is the first single off Taylor Swift’s upcoming album “Speak Now” which is set for nationwide release October 25th (barring any further piracy). Taylor Swift announces new album Speak Now! In her live chat today, country superstar Taylor Swift announced news her fans have been waiting 2 years for. Taylor will be releasing a new album, titled “Speak Now”this coming October 25th, 2010 worldwide. The album will feature 14 songs, and is a concept piece that centers around the idea that you should tell people how you feel when you have the chance. “That pertains to the album as a concept, and an entire theme of the record, more than I can even tell you. I’ve been working on it for two years ever since we came out with Fearless I’ve been working on this album and what I want to put in it and how I want it to be. For me I write a lot about what I live so you have to give yourself a little time to live a little so you have something to write about A lot of things I wanted to say in the moment and in life you have a lot of situations and people that pop up and come at you in life and a lot of times you don’t get to tell them what you want in person.” Taylor will also begin touring in the late fall and early spring to support the album. She even made mention of touring internationally. We can expect to hear the first single off the album in mid-August. The lead single “Mine” was recently shot in Portland Maine, which Taylor absolutely loved. “Mine” is a song that is about kind of my tendency to run from love.. I think it’s because for me, every direct real example of love for me has ended in goodbye and breakups… this song is sort of about finding the exception to that and finding someone who can make you believe in love… I’m never going to go past believing that love can work out. We shot the video for “Mine” in Maine so you may have seen pictures of that online… When I am old and have silver hair… I want to live in Maine and have a house and make necklaces and have a lot of cats” Today’s live chat brought a total of well over 60,000 simultaneous viewers, with over 4,000 interactively chatting during the broadcast.
