Kacey Musgraves Merry Go Round Live Performance

Kacey Musgraves Discuss ACM Awards Nominations and Performs Live On The Today Show. Kacey Musgraves stopped by The Today Show last week to promote the release of her amazing new album Same Trailer Different Park. Before her performance she kindly answered the morning show’s clearly clueless anchor, letting him know that country artists don’t really “smack talk” but didn’t shy away from confirming her preference for bluntness (like we didn’t know!). Musgraves performed current single “Merry Go Round,” and did a really great job. Sure, you can hear a little nervousness in her voice, but she handles it like a pro! Watch below. The Voice Season Four Night Two

The Voice Season 4 Premiere Week Comes To An End. Tonight was the second night of season four of The Voice, ending the premiere week of the NBC hit show. Unfortunately, our favorite coach, Blake Shelton, didn’t gain any team members tonight. But there is always next week and I’m not worried. Even though, Shelton didn’t add to his team, there were more than a couple moments on tonight’s episode that made me excited. Shakira gained two females contenders, both of whom surprised me with their performances. The first was Tawnya Reynolds who sang “Mamas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys.” The second was Cathia, who gave me chills when she sang “No Me Doy por Vencido.” Shakira also gave me a good chuckle when she pulled out her “English to Country” dictionary. The book ended up being one of her secret weapons in locking down Reynolds over Shelton. Adam Levine also grabbed a talented duo with, Midas Whale. They gave a great performance with their version of “Folsom Prison Blues.” Levine added one other member to his team in addition to the duo and Usher also snatched up one member. All-in-all it was a great first week of season four. Be sure to watch next week when The Voice returns on Monday and Tuesday. Don’t forget you can get any of the Blind Audition singles on iTunes.

The Voice Season 4 Premiere

Season 4 Of The Voice Has Begun And Blake Shelton Leads With The Biggest Team After Night 1. Tonight was the Season 4 premiere of NBC’s hit show The Voice. Two huge differences in this season and past, are the replacement of two coaches. Christina Aguilera and Cee Loo Green have decided to take a break from the show and Shakira and Usher have been chosen to keep their big, rotating chairs warm. But don’t worry, country’s own Blake Shelton hasn’t gone anywhere and neither has Maroon 5 hunk, Adam Levine. Shelton, being the winning coach for the past two seasons in a row, started the night off right when the first performers to hit the stage chose him. I say “performers” because Shelton picked up a package deal. The Morgan Twins are the first-ever twins The Voice has seen. They sang Alicia Keys‘ “Fallin’.” Shelton also grabbed 16-year-old Texan, Danielle Bradbery, who sang Taylor Swift’s “Mean.” Shelton’s 3rd team member was Christian Porter who sang a unique version of LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It.” Leah Lewis sang Carrie Underwood’s “Blown Away,” but unfortunately wasn’t picked by any of the coaches. I was sad that this one slipped through the cracks because she was just too cute. “It just feels right when I sing country music,” said the 15-year-old singer. The night ended with Judith Hill picking Levine as her coach after bringing the house down with Aguilera’s “What A Girl Wants.” Hill was Levine’s only member for the night and the two newbies, Shakira and Usher, both ended the night with two members each. This was only night one and I can NOT wait for tomorrow’s episode. Hopefully we will get to hear some talented country singers!

Gwen Sebastian Rocking New Single Annie’s New Gun

Gwen Sebastian’s Annie’s New Gun Is A Sassy Rocking Good Time. Gwen Sebastian has a voice that is raw with emotion, powerful in range and is guaranteed to grab your attention on first listen. You probably know her from her stint on NBC’s The Voice, and subsequently from her on going professional collaborations with Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert. Soon enough though, with an upcoming album release this summer, folks will know Gwen for her talent alone, and her new single, “Annie’s New Gun,” is proof positive of just that. This track is everything that I love about women in country music. Strong, take charge lyrics matched equally with sassy, energetic delivery showcasing Gwen’s undeniable talent. It’s easy to see why she fits so well in the Lambert/Shelton wheelhouse of country. Take a listen below, and be sure to catch up with Sebastian on Twitter! Listen! Gwen Sebastian “Annie’s New Gun.”

Florida Georgia Line Remix Cruise with Nelly

Florida Georgia Line Team Up with Rapper Nelly to Remix Hit Song Cruise. Florida Georgia Line rocketed onto the country scene with their now double platinum, multi-week #1 single “Cruise,” and followed that up with the equally popular “Get Your Shine On,” which hit 15 on the charts already and continues to climb. The new country duo is taking things to the next level with “Cruise” by teaming up with rapper Nelly for a remix loosely scheduled to debut sometime this Spring. Both halves of FGL  are very excited about the upcoming collaboration. “When we caught wind that Nelly was a fan of ‘Cruise,’ we were floored. We’ve been fans of his music for years and thought it would be cool to team up on a remix.” -Brian Kelley “Nelly really brought a fresh, unique sound to ‘Cruise’ and we’re super excited for our fans to hear!” -Tyler Hubbard You can hear a “hint” of the remix in Nelly’s recent video for “Hey Porche” which I’ve included for you below. Spoiler, its at the very, very end of the video. So, if for some strange reason you can’t make it through the whole song, just skip to last couple of seconds.  Check it out, and be sure to tell me what you think in the comments below. Next up, FGL will be helping kick off the Outnumber Hunger Live! benefit concert which will air on AXS TV. You can also catch them live from Las Vegas at the 2013 ACM Awards on Sunday, April 7th as the duo is nominated for ACM Vocal Duo of the Year and New Artist of the Year. Florida Georgia Line Nelly Remix Sneak Peak.

Wynonna Judd Is Back with a Bang

Wynonna Judd Takes On 2013 with New Music, New Shows and More! Wynonna Judd has had her share of trials and tribulations over the years, but this is one woman that just can’t be held down for long. In true form, this country icon is taking on 2013 with lots of new developments including new music, a feature documentary, and a spot on popularity reality TV hit Dancing with the Stars! “I focused on being a wife and a nurse for the last seven months and now I’m doing something for myself. The main word for me this year is ‘risk.’ I’m stepping out of my comfort zone and doing something that a lot of people tell me is crazy—but they get it.” -Wynonna She and husband Cactus Moser experienced tragedy shortly after their wedding when Moser was involved in a motorcycle accident and subsequently had to have his leg amputated. The couple’s story is the subject of the hour long documentary, “Wynonna and Cactus: The Road Back,” which aired on GAC on Monday, March 18th. Also on Monday, Wynonna’s new single, “Something You Can’t Live Without,” which will be featured on her Moser produced upcoming album was sent to country radio and is available on iTunes! As if that’s not enough though, she debuted on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars with a cha cha routine, and did a pretty good job! One thing is for sure, this Judd has enough energy and charisma to really be a stand out on the show! We love Wynonna around here at CMNB headquarters, and we are anxiously anticipating her new album and can’t wait to see how she does on DWTS!
