It’s been nearly two decades since the cult classic album “Soul Gravy” hit fans right between the eyes for the first time.  Originally recorded by Cross Canadian Ragweed, one of the greatest touring bands of all time, the album made its way onto the Billboard Country Albums Chart in 2004 and scored a couple of hit music videos on CMT including the single “Sick And Tired” featuring Lee Ann Womack.

Skid Row Goes Country

Brandon Blackburn I Remember You - Skid Row Cover

Southern rocker Brandon Blackburn recently released a country cover of Skid Row‘s 1989 hit song “I Remember You.” You can listen to the single HERE! With his new release, Brandon wanted to go back to his rock ‘n’ roll roots and record one of his childhood favorites.  “I always wanted to be a rockstar growing up,” Brandon shares. Taking inspiration from Justin Moore’s 2019 cover of “Home Sweet Home” (Motley Crue), Brandon put his own country spin on the heavy metal classic “I Remember You”.

Listen Now: Luke Laird, Lori McKenna, And Barry Dean “Give Me Back My Hometown”

For their third and final—for now—installation of The Songwriter Tapes, decorated songwriters Luke Laird, Lori McKenna, and Barry Dean are yet again demonstrating the timelessness of a great song. Each volume of The Songwriter Tapes includes brand new recordings of three songs that even part-time country music fans will be familiar with, if not already fans of, and one tune that has yet to see the light of day. Choosing the four songs for each of the songwriters to sing was a collaborative process. And while it may have been difficult to narrow it down to 12 tracks after more than 65 collective years in country music, the result is a timeless anthology of career-defining songs from as far back as 2004 and as recent as 2020.
