The Marshall Tucker Band Brings Back Vinyl For Their Release Of Greatest Hits! The Marshall Tucker Band has been around and rocking since the 70s, when their was no such things as CDs and digital retailers. Then, MTB along with every other musical act on the planet, depended on vinyl records to get their music in the fans hands. On November 22, in celebration of 40 years, the vinyl edition of The Marshall Tucker Band: Greatest Hits will be released! “As we continue to tour, more and more fans are showing up in the autograph lines with their original Marshall Tucker vinyl records, even more so than CDs. There’s just something cool about vinyl. It’s very retro and I think most people out there will agree that in today’s day and age, retro is ‘in.’ This is an appropriate release for us, especially since we’re celebrating 40 years.” -Doug Gray, lead singer and founding member The 17-track album, a Gatefold Double-LP 180 gram vinyl record, contains some of the MTB’s most notable hits including “Can’t You See“, “Heard It In A Love Song“, “Fire On The Mountain“, “24 Hours At A Time” and “Take The Highway“. Three of the 17 tracks are previously unreleased live concert recordings from an earlier overseas tour. Since turntable record players are no longer a mainstream commodity, the new vinyl will include a digital download card! Keith Urban Takes A Break

Keith Urban Set To Have Throat Surgery. Keith Urban is set to have throat surgery later this month. A polyp as been found on his vocal chords and the surgery has been scheduled to remove it. Luckily it is a minor, out-patient surgery, but will still require him to get lots of rest! His appearance/performance at the “All For The Hall” benefit has been postponed. Any performances he has had committed to prior to the surgery where he will sing one song will still happen. Any performances that require him to sing multiple songs will be moved to the beginning of the new year. We wish you the best Keith! Here is to a healthy and speedy recovery!

Uncle Kracker Unveils The First Single From His Future Full Length Album. “My Hometown“, produced by Keith Stegall, marks the first taste of Uncle Kracker’s long awaited album which will be available in 2012! Uncle Kracker spent most of 2011 on tour with Kenny Chesney, where he sang for crowds in some of the biggest arenas this country has to offer! He also headlined benefit shows, including The Uncle Kracker Music Education Foundation. It is hard to believe that it has been over a year since we first heard his top 5 hit, “Smile.” This man has been very gifted in the songwriting department and is sure to give us tons of treats on his full length album! Willie Nelson Will Release A Collection of Country Hits. Willie Nelson has announced the release of a new album, Remember Me: Volume 1 featuring a collection of country hits spanning a 70 year range. The album is set to release on Monday, November 21st, and Volume 2 is expected to be available sometime in 2012. Willie will be performing some of the best country songs by some of the best country artists including Merle Haggard, George Jones, Ernest Tubb, Rosemary Clooney, Johnny Cash and others. Each was hand picked by the man himself, and Nelson is accompanied on each track by some of Nashville’s top musicians in a band that features Eddie Bayers (drums), David Hungate (bass), Brent Mason (electric guitar), Biff Watson (acoustic guitar), Mickey Raphael (harmonica), Sonny Garrish (steel guitar), John Hobbs (piano/keyboards), Aubrey Haynie (fiddle/mandolin) and Wes Hightower and Cindy Walker (background vocals). 2011 CMA Award Promotional Spoof

Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley Spoof Olay for CMA Award Show Promotion. The 2011 CMA Awards are coming up in just under a week, and ABC has started airing some pretty amusing promotions! The first aired about a week ago featuring Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, this year’s hosts, being upstaged at auditions by Donny and Marie Osmond. Another promo has been released and it’s just as funny…cheesy, but funny. This time, Carrie and Brad, are spoofing an Olay advertisement, and its all in good fun! Kellie Picker Announces Release Date of Upcoming Album! Kellie Pickler has announced the title and release date of her upcoming album! 100 Proof will be available Tuesday, January 24th, 2012. Pickler co-wrote six of the eleven tracks on this album, and she is understandably excited to share the new music with fans! “I’m just happy to be making country music…I hope everyone enjoys the new music as much as I’ve enjoyed making it!”-Kellie Pickler This new album features Kellie’s recent single release, “Tough“, which, if it is any reflection of the rest of the album, definitely suggests that there is more great music to come! American Country Awards Performers

American Country Awards Announce First Round of Performers! The 2nd Annual American Country Awards has announced the first of its performers! Fans can so far expect Blake Shelton, Pistol Annies, Thompson Square, Eli Young Band and The Band Perry to perform. Hosts Trace Adkins and Kristen Chenowith are also expected to join in on the singing! Fans can also look forward to appearances by Laren Alaina, Miranda Lambert, Scotty McCreery, Rachel Bilson (random…), and the men of “Pawn Stars” (also random…). Reba McEntire Hosts Nascar Finale

Reba McEntire All Set to Host 2011 Nascar Finale! Reba McEntire will be hosting the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series award ceremony! This event will take place on December 2nd at Wynn Las Vegas, and honors the Cup champion in addition to the drivers who finished in the top 10 of the final series standings. Reba, who has close ties to the racing community now that son, Shelby, is racing, is pleased to be a part of the finale. “I’m delighted to be hosting the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards this year. Country music and NASCAR have shared fans for many years so I’ll feel right at home. My family and I have gotten to meet so many nice people in the racing industry this year with my youngest son, Shelby, being one of the competitors.
