ABC Airs CMA Close Up Special As Preview to Award Show. The networks know that country fans are excited about the upcoming CMA Awards. So, they are offering fans a little something to hold them over till the big day. Local ABC affiliates will air a special “CMA Close Up Presents Road To The CMA Awards” between October 28th and November 9th. This half hour special will showcase the nominees from the various categories for the 45th Annual CMA Awards. Interviews with Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift, The Band Perry, Kristin Chenowith and Little Big Town are among the list of interviewees. These country stars will share tidbits like their favorite memories of past CMA Awards and give insight into what its like to be honored with a nomination! Be sure to check local listings for dates and times to catch this special programming! The 2011 CMA Awards will air on Wednesday, November 9th on ABC at 7pm, and will be hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.

Tootsie’s Birthday Bash To Have Kid Rock, The McClymonts, The Roys, The Kentucky Headhunters And More! Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge in Nashville, Tennessee is having a party! Music City’s legendary honky-tonk will be celebrating their 51st Birthday on November 23, 2011! This fiesta will be happening right in the heart of downtown Nashville, partly on the famous Broadway Street. The Kentucky Headhunters, The Roys, The McClymonts and other bands that will soon be announced will be hitting the outdoor stage at 12:00 pm, just before the Kid Rock concert at the Ryman Auditorium. “Last year having Kris Kristofferson, Terri Clark, Randy Houser, and Mel Tillis was the beginning of what has become an annual event – The Tootsie’s Birthday Bash! Knowing how Kid Rock has agreed to partner with Tootsie’s and co-brand his Ryman show as part of our Birthday Bash is just proof of what we are creating here.” -Steve Smith, Tootsie’s owner Entertainment will be on both stages of Tootsie’s, the roof-top of Rippy’s and a stage in the street on Broadway. After the Kid Rock show, Tootsie’s will continue to celebrate into the night! “Every time I end up at Tootsie’s its a good night, and I don’t expect this night to be any different. It’s cool to be celebrating their birthday party with them; I like parties and seem to excel in that type of atmosphere.” -Kid Rock This is sure to be a crazy fun time and I highly suggest if you are in or around the area, get yourself to Broadway on November 23! Now that is the Wednesday before Thanksgiving so mark your calendars! Unfortunately for fans tickets to the Kid Rock show at the Ryman are sold out, but no need to panic, the party is not!

Exciting November Events

Today is the first day of November! A lot of exciting things are happening in the country music world this month… Today Miranda Lambert’s fourth studio album, Four the Record, was released for sale! Joe Nichols’ newest album will be out next week along with David Nail’s newest coming the 15th! Those are just a few new albums that this girl can’t wait to get her hands on! Y’all be looking for a review of those from MissMolly, WhiskeyChick or myself real soon! Also the CMA Award Show is just about a week away! WE CAN’T WAIT! This office has been seriously buzzing about this event since about April! It will be a party for sure! Y’all just sit tight, it’s going to be a fun ride! =)

George Jones Plans 2012 Tour Dates! Despite having just celebrated his 80th birthday, George Jones is showing no signs of settling down anytime soon. The country great has already planned additional tour dates for 2012! Jones is clearly ready to get back out on the road, and keep performing for his fans! “I’m always excited to get back out on the road and we’re working up new shows and new songs. I’m feelin’ great and givin’ the road hell!” -George Jones This country music icons has essentially lived on the charts with hit singles releasing every decade since his debut in the 1950’s. We can only hope that when we have 80 years under our belts, we will have achieved so much and still have as much energy as Jones! David Nail Sings At The Final Game of the World Series David Nail had the honor, Friday October 28th, to sing “God Bless America” during the seventh-inning in the final game of the World Series. Seeing as the Cardinals were playing versus the Rangers and Nail hails from Missouri, this was a pretty big moment for the singer! “I’m truly honored to be asked to sing ‘God Bless America’…Obviously being from Missouri and a Cardinal fan, just to be able to watch game seven in person is a once in a lifetime experience” -David Nail No doubt David was pleased with the outcome of the game since the Cardinals won! Nail will be releasing his second album, The Sound Of A Million Dreams, on November 15th, 2011!
