In 2005, Louisiana-born and North Carolina-raised vocalist Kellie Pickler acquired a spot in the fifth season of American Idol. Though she finished sixth, the former waitress and Miss North Carolina contestant charmed American audiences with her Southern twang and blonde ambition, resulting in a contract with BNA Records that yielded her debut album, Small Town Girl, in the fall of 2006 and an eponymous follow-up release in 2008.

Kellie Picker rose to fame after her appearance in the fifth season of the television series American Idol. To date she has released one album, Small Town Girl (2006), following her appearance on the tv show. It reached No.9 in the Billboard charts with the track “Red High Heels” making a showing in the singles chart.

In this episode they transformed a drab family room into a vibrant, gypsified family room complete with vintage cowboy comics! Kellie Picker Announces Release Date of Upcoming Album! Kellie Pickler has announced the title and release date of her upcoming album! 100 Proof will be available Tuesday, January 24th, 2012. Pickler co-wrote six of the eleven tracks on this album, and she is understandably excited to share the new music with fans! “I’m just happy to be making country music…I hope everyone enjoys the new music as much as I’ve enjoyed making it!”-Kellie Pickler This new album features Kellie’s recent single release, “Tough“, which, if it is any reflection of the rest of the album, definitely suggests that there is more great music to come! Kellie Pickler Guests On The Ellen Degeneres Show. Kellie Pickler is out and about promoting her single “Tough” and the release of it’s brand new video, and she stopped by The Ellen Degeneres Show Tuesday, October 4th. Now, if you’ve ever watch The Ellen Show, you know Ellen likes to get up to some pretty crazy hijinks, and always likes to have a little fun with her guests (this is definitely not your average talk show!). I really think the test of an easy-going individual is whether or not they are really willing to just go with it, and join in the joke with Ellen, even if they are the punch-line in the joke. Kellie Pickler is definitely one of these easy going individuals. Besides the interview, and performing “Tough“, Kellie also let Ellen and her assistants give her a “spa treatment” on stage. Now, this was not your run of the mill spa treatment, and really ended up looking more like an episode of “I Love Lucy“. Yet, Kellie went with it, and was a good sport for the sake of the humor! This little sketch really show cased Pickler’s personality and how personable she can be! You can check out the video clip of the “spa treatment” and Kellie’s live performance of “Tough” below. Kellie Pickler Guest Stars On 90210. Kellie Pickler is hitting the music scene with her recent single “Tough“, and she is also starting to branch out by cultivating her acting talent. Pickler will be guest starring on the CW remake of 90210. She will be filling the role of Sally, a (not surprising) country singing cousin of season regular Austin (played by Justin Deeley). Besides getting to see Kellie showcase her acting skills, viewers will also get to see a special performance of “Tough“. The episode will air October 18th on the CW Network, so check local listings for details on times! Pickler will preview clips of the upcoming episode on her appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show on Tuesday, October 4th.

Kellie Pickler Releases Video for Single Tough. Kellie Pickler has released the video for her most recent single “Tough” that was released over the summer. The release of this single marks Pickler’s first musical release since 2008, and the wait was well worth it. “Tough” is a strong song about a strong woman. The music is upbeat and sassy with well-written lyrics to match. I am happy to report that the video definitely lives up to standard set by the song. There is a fair amount of hip shaking and sexy prancing around by Pickler, but not to the point that it is detrimental to the message. She really does embody a strong, country gal who has made the best of the lemons life has thrown her way. Also, she manages this just fine all on her own. Kellie Pickler Releases New Single. Kellie Pickler released her new single, “Tough” earlier this week on Monday, June 13th marking her first musical release since 2008. The single is featured on Pickler’s upcoming album of the same name which is due out Tuesday, June 21st. “Tough” is catchy with a beat which makes you want to get up and move. This is especially true if you’re a woman. In which case, this dancing may be accompanied by the occasional fist pump or shout as this song has an empowering vibe to it. One of the best lines is “there ain’t nothin’ wrong with a woman that got a little back bone.” Enough said (or sung)! All in all, the lyrics paint a picture of a strong woman who isn’t okay with just being some man’s arm candy. It never gets old, hearing country women really embrace their strength! If the rest of the album is as sassy and enjoyable as this single, then country music listeners are in for a treat! Kellie Pickler ties the knot in a private ceremony on New Years Day. Tis’ the season for country weddings as Kellie Pickler enjoyed an intimate wedding ceremony, joining her to Kyle Jacobs, in a private affair in the carribean. The ceremony was attended by close family and friends, and came just 6 short months after their engagement. Congratulations to the newlyweds! Kellie joins Shania Twain in the list of New Years Nuptuals so far.
