Kenny Chesney: Boys of Fall Video

Have you heard Kenny’s latest single, “Boys of Fall”? It seems that a summer off touring has allowed Kenny Chesney the time to find more honesty, sincerity, and purity to express in his upcoming album, “Hemmingway’s Whiskey”. The first track to surface “Boys of Fall” carries a wistful and nostalgic tone that puts your right back in those late summers of your teenage years. Take a listen! Kenny Chesney: “HEMINGWAY’s Whiskey

After almost three years Kenny Chesney will release a new studio album, “HEMINGWAY’s Whiskey on September 28th. Kenny had this to say about the title of his new release, which was named after a Guy Clark track: “When I heard the song, I knew it was the perfect title for the record. I was sitting in my truck and a friend had given me Guy’s album, which had just come out, and it’s a song that talks about living life to its fullest, being a man about your responsibilities and not compromising. As soon as I heard it, I knew I had to cut it, and call the album that … because it says everything about the way you live your life, and what life can be if you refuse to buy into limits, which — as someone who’s read all his books — is everything HEMINGWAY’s novels revolved around.” Country Music Photo Gallery

Artists this busy barely have time for saying hello, yet Kenny takes the time to get to know you and shares himself. That is a very rare and endearing quality. He is a great performer, a great writer, and a great guy to roll with. He’s the real deal.” Should be a great show!Country Music Photo Gallery

Kenny Chesney in 3D

Kenny Chesney releases the trailer for his 3D movie “Kenny Chesney:Summer in 3D” Soon you will get to see Kenny Chesney in true-to-life form on the big screen which is cool, but even cooler is that it will be in 3D! Kenny is releasing a trailer today that previews his 3D special “Kenny Chesney:Summer in 3D” in conjunction with Sony Pictures. The film is expected to give fans the full concert experience as if they were really there. (I wonder if that comes complete with flip-flops, sand and beach balls?) The film is expected to hit select theaters in April of 2010 which will help tide fans over until Kenny gets back out on tour. According to Chesney: “It’s amazing to me how intense this footage is. It’s me in a way I’ve never seen myself – and I can’t wait to share it with my fans. I put all of myself into my shows, a lot of heart and sweat and stuff most people might not think is all that important, but I do… and always have. This film captures every little detail in a way that makes it even more important than I thought it was when we were working on it, and it makes my fans even more in my face than when I’m onstage, which is great! So I am completely thrilled that there’s something we’re able to give people a taste of the film with. Obviously, it’s not 3-D, but it’s pretty invested in what JOE THOMAS, the director, is trying to help us capture. APRIL is a long way away, and I know I don’t want to wait that long to let people get a peak at what we’re doing.” [youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjUzzHDYyHg] Kenny Chesney:Summer in 3DCountry Music Photo Gallery

Kenny Chesney Rumored to Join Georgia Theater Benefit With ZBB

Zac Brown Band inspires colleagues as rumors fly that Kenny Chesney has signed on to help save the Georgia Theater! The Georgia Theater is in trouble and needs your help!  Earlier this year the theater suffered a devastating fire, and is now in need of serious restoration funding. The historic venue has been home to infinitely famous bands such as R.E.M, the B-52’s, Drive By Truckers, and of course, the Zac Brown Band. That is why ZBB has stepped up to coordinate a star-studded fundraising event to help rebuild the theater! An all-star lineup of country music artists have signed on to perform at a benefit show at the Fox Theater in downtown Atlanta, GA on October 30th. Proceeds from the event will go directly to rebuilding the historic theater. Confirmed guest performers already include Little Big Town, Joey + Rory, Shawn Mullins, Aslyn, and Oliver Wood. We also have word from a VERY reliable source that Kid Rock, Kelli Pickler, and now Kenny Chesney have also been added to the list! Kenny Chesney’s College Football Moments Get Criticism

It seems that not all college football fans are fans of Kenny Chesney! In a recent post at SportingNews.com it was made perfectly clear that Kenny Chesney‘s “Our Moment”  clips should be cut from college football on ESPN. While I can’t say that I fully agree, I did get tired of seeing the same clip at almost every commercial break and was relieved to find out that it would not be shown for every game. As it turns out, ESPN is only using these clips, along with others from artist Dave Matthews, for the season opener, very big games, and the last day of the regular season. I guess during those games that will be my “moment” to go grab a drink. [youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWpJusn12Jc]Country Music Photo Gallery

Kenny Chesney Is Taking it Slow in 2010

Kenny Chesney has announced that he will NOT be planning a 2010 summer tour. Kenny Chesney sat down with Entertainment Weekly to discuss his decision to take touring out of his 2010 schedule: “I’m not quitting,” he told the magazine. “It’s just a short pause. It would be easy to keep doing it, because it’s fun and the fans are unbelievable. … Then you realize that at some point you’re missing a part of your life. … I need to recharge creatively and get off the clock of having to be somewhere … and having to keep juggling all these things. And people needing answers. I just felt like this year it finally hit me that I need to get reconnected with my family.” This is a surprising move for one of the top-grossing acts in country music, although not completely unheard of. Kenny Chesney’s last 2009 tour date will be September 19th at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN. Chesney stated he will have some performances in 2010, most likely acoustic performances, just not the big shows. “Something to feed my soul,” he said. “I’ve given a big part of my soul for this for so long, and nothing has really been filling that up. It seems like in the last couple of years, I’ve been on an empty tank. And that’s gotta change.” Country Music Photo Gallery
