Miranda Lambert was born November 10, 1983, in Lindale, TX, a small town about 80 miles east of Dallas, the daughter of country guitar player and songwriter Rick Lambert (her mother, Bev, ran a detective agency). Growing up in a house dedicated to country music, she began entering country talent contests when she was 16, and appeared as part of the Johnny High Country music Review in Arlington, TX.

Lambert learned to play guitar and immediately began writing her own songs, continuing to enter talent contests (one led to her appearing in a potato chip ad and a part in the 2001 teen comedy Slap Her She’s French). At 17 (while still in high school) she formed the Texas Pride lineup and began gigging professionally, and later in 2001, with financial help from her father, she put forth an independent CD, Miranda Lambert, that showcased her songs, two of which, “Texas Pride” and “Somebody Else,” actually entered the Texas material charts.

In 2003 she finished first in the Texas auditions for the Nashville Star tv show, moving to Nashville to appear on it, eventually finishing third in the competition, which led to a recording contract with Sony. Still only 21 years old, her first major-label single, “Me and Charlie Talking,” was issued in 2004, and the consequent album, Kerosene, for which Lambert wrote or co-wrote ten of the 11 tracks, appeared in 2005 on Epic Records, came by Crazy Ex-Girlfriend in 2007. Revolution was put forth in 2009.

Miranda Lambert Announces 2012 On Fire Tour! Miranda Lambert has announced her 2012 Winter Headlining tour! The “On Fire” tour will kick-off on January 12th in Rockford, IL. Lambert will be joined by Chris Young and Jerrod Niemann. Miranda is understandably excited about the impending tour, and luckily for fans, ready to put on a great show! “I’m looking forward to the tour and playing some new music from ‘Four The Record’ and kicking some attitude. Chris and Jerrod have great shows and we’re gonna have a lot of fun out there this year and it will be a great year with our fans. Lambert and Shelton Duet Featured on Miranda’s Four the Record! Well, after Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert faked out the country music community with their promises of recording a new album together, it seems they are willing to offer all the broken-hearted fans a consolation prize. Blake and Miranda have in fact recorded a duet together, and it will be featured on Miranda’s upcoming album, Four the Record. The song is titled “Better in the Long Run” and was written by Ashley Monroe of the Pistol Annies, Charles Kelly of Lady Antebellum and Gordie Sampson of “Jesus, Take the Wheel” fame. There will be a total of 14 tracks on the album including Lambert’s current single “Baggage Claim“. Four the Record will be released November 1st.

Miranda Lambert To Release Special Edition of Upcoming Album! Miranda Lambert‘s much anticipated upcoming album, Four The Record, is set to release November 1st. In case all of Miranda’s fans were not excited enough, it has been announced that a special edition deluxe version of the album will also be made available. This edition will include a bonus track as well as a DVD featuring Miranda sharing stories and details about each of the tracks. The bonus track would be enough, but the DVD footage is sure to offer some terrific insight into the song-writing process! Lambert is definitely excited to share her new music with fans. “I’m so ready for the fans to hear it! ‘Baggage Claim’ is such a groovy song and I’m glad it’s the first single. But just like Revolution, not one song represents the whole album. Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert made a surprise announcement just moments ago via Neal McCoy’s youtube account confirming that they are indeed making an album together! I’m so excited about this that typing is a challenge, so I’m just gonna share the video right here! Stay tuned for more details as they unfold! The song itself is very catchy with a smooth sound that makes you want to hit replay every time. Miranda Lambert Announces New Album Release Date. During her GMA appearance on Friday, July 8th, Miranda Lambert announced the release date for her upcoming album titled Four the Record. Fans can expect to see the album out Tuesday, November 1st. Lambert has indicated this album is both similar and different from her previous three albums, giving fans a lot to look forward to! “This album pushes the limits for me in many ways and I collaborate with friends and heroes. It builds on my previous albums with a whole new flair.” -Miranda Lambert There is a good chance that the newlywed will be including a duet with her husband, Blake Shelton, on the album which will clearly be fun for them, and a special treat for fans! Additionally, Miranda’s side project with Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley, Pistol Annies, is set to release an album on August 23rd! So, mark your calendars because there is a lot of new music on the horizon.

The sassy, country star will take us through the memories that are her life, from early childhood to Grammy winnings. We will hear about the ups and downs from the people closest to her including husband and fellow country star, Blake Shelton, and parents Rick and Bev Lambert. We will also hear from Nashville Star judge Tracy Gershon, former Sony Nashville head Joe Galante, country legend Loretta Lynn, and other artists and friends Kenny Chesney, Sheryl Crow, and Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum. Lambert is obviously an artist that country music and country music fans are very proud of and to see her on this show proves that she has touched people in all genres of music! Miranda Lambert Featured on Good Morning America Concert Series. Listen up, Miranda Lambert fans! Miranda will be performing on Good Morning America Friday, July 8th as part of the morning show’s Summer Concert Series. The concert will be held in Rumsey Playfield in Central Park and admission is free to the general public. If you can’t make it to the show in person, though, just set your DVR! The concert will be presented throughout the show between 7am and 9am (ET). Be sure to check local listings!
