Greylan James Sets October 24 Grand Ole Opry Debut Ahead of First Album

Greylan James will make his Grand Ole Opry debut on Saturday, October 24, 2026, adding another milestone ahead of his self-titled debut album’s November 13 release through Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment.

Greylan James Opry Debut

The invitation arrived through video messages from Jordan Davis, HARDY and James’ parents. Those voices connect several parts of his story: the family who supported him, the artist who helped bring his songwriting to a wider audience, and the publishing relationship behind his growing catalog.

A childhood wish reaches the Opry stage

“When I was a kid, I asked to play the Grand Ole Opry for my birthday,” said James. “Well, the best my parents could do was take me to a karaoke bar, and they got me a pillow that had the Opry sewn on it.”

James said the pillow stayed on his bed until he moved to Nashville. The invitation turns that childhood attachment into a performance in the Opry’s famous circle.

Fans can watch the invitation shared by James and find show information through the Grand Ole Opry.

From writing hits to introducing his own album

James co-wrote Jordan Davis’ “Next Thing You Know,” which brought him an ACM Song of the Year award. HARDY also has a connection to his career through Relative Music Group, where James signed a publishing deal.

The upcoming album includes 13 original tracks, all co-written by James, plus a Dolly Parton cover. James produced or co-produced 11 of the original songs, according to the release announcement. His own dog, Knox, appears on the cover.

“Water At A Wedding” is part of the growing artist catalog that brings him to this moment. The album gives fans a fuller introduction to the person behind songs they may already know from other performers.

More dates ahead

His first headlining run, Wedding Season: The Tour, begins November 6 in Huntington, West Virginia, with Carson Wallace announced as a special guest. CountryMusicNewsBlog.com readers can find album pre-save links and current dates on James’ official website.

For now, October 24 is the date that turns a childhood birthday wish into an Opry debut.
