The Shalom Foundation’s Hymns, Hams & Jams Concert Was A Success!
Last week, Martina McBride shared her time and musical talents at Nashville’s Hymns, Hams & Jams concert from Loveless Barn in support of The Shalom Foundation. The event was a huge success, raising much-needed funds in support of its medical program in Guatemala.
The August 21 Hymns, Hams & Jams concert, headlined by Martina McBride, also featured a performance and live auction with legendary songwriter Bob DiPiero. GAC and Sirius XM personality Storme Warren hosted the event.
Auction items included tickets to the 2012 World Series, Nashville Predators VIP packages, Peter Nappi custom footwear, a private bus party, exclusive concert tickets and backstage experiences with artists including Brad Paisley and The Band Perry and a unique eat-and-greet experience with Zac Brown Band, all bringing in donations for the Christian organization and its work in Guatemala.
The Shalom Foundation recently brought 14-year old Angelica Morales to Vanderbilt’s Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital to complete surgery on a complicated vascular malformation, which required more resources than were currently available at its Moore Pediatric Surgery Center in Guatemala City. A pediatric dental surgery team recently returned from The Moore Pediatric Surgery Center in Guatemala City, led by doctors and nurses from the Nashville area including Dr. George Adams, Dr. George Fiaz and Dr. Shannon Hershey. Proceeds from this month’s Hymns Hams & Jams will directly support The Shalom Foundation’s medical program.
