Country Music Holds Its Own At American Music Awards! Sunday, November 20th, ABC aired the 2011 American Music Awards, and we’ve got the complete list of country winners! The AMAs is a fan-voted award show, and all of the nominees represent those artists who have dominated airwaves, charts, and sales. Country Music is one of several genres recognized, and in some cases country artists are in competition with artists from other genres. This round of country winners includes, Blake Shelton, Lady Antebellum and Taylor Swift who walked away with three awards including the top honor, Artist of the Year. (For the complete list see below). I have to say, for someone who is continually winning awards, Taylor Swift never ceases to show her humility and true appreciation for her fans! LiveWire Miracle Of The Human Spirit

LiveWire Honors Joplin With Miracle Of The Human Spirit. The members of the emerging country group LiveWire were born and raised in Joplin, and have released a music video that pays homage to the strength of their town in the aftermath. The music video for “Miracle of the Human Spirit” not only shows Joplin’s resolve, but also serves to continue building awareness for the ongoing work the town faces to rebuild. “Miracle of the Human Spirit” will be available on iTunes and other digital retailers on November 22. All proceeds will go to Joplin Tornado First Response Fund c/o Community Foundation of Southwest Missouri. www.cfswmo.org “Miracle of the Human Spirit” was written by LiveWire rhythm guitarist, Danny Bell, who wrote the song as an outpouring of emotion in reaction to the devastating and deadly tornado. Corey Smith Releases Music Video For Maybe Next Year. Corey Smith’s newest single, “Maybe Next Year“, from his album The Broken Road, now has a video! It was filmed in Nashville and was directed and produced by David Poag through Team Genius. “Although I wrote “Maybe Next Year” in my late 20’s, I think it serves as a friendly reminder of the fact that we can all use a little self-improvement, no matter how old we are. I’m happy that fans will be getting to see the song come to life in such a vivid way. The two talked about everything from her music to her dogs. Both blondes have more in common than you would think, they are both very successful, tough women and have a special place in their hearts for Blake Shelton. As we all know Miranda and Blake got married last spring. For those of you who don’t know, Blake has been a guest on Handler’s show on a couple occasions where they shared some comical banter back and forth.
