Sawyer Hill Shares Lady Arkansas Video With a New Appreciation for Coming Home

Sawyer Hill has released the video for “Lady Arkansas,” a song about home that he says now carries a different weight following the bus tragedy earlier this month in which driver David “Rollingcloud” Jackson died.

The Fayetteville native filmed the video before the start of the tour. The song originally appeared on his debut album, Everybody’s Home, Nobody’s Happy, available through AWAL Recordings.

Hill says he wrote it about returning to the woman he loves and to Arkansas. After the past few weeks, that familiar idea has become a more personal expression of gratitude.

“Lately, the words ‘I’ll be home soon’ have carried a different weight,” Hill said in the video’s announcement.

That is the heart of this release: appreciation for the people and places waiting at the end of the road. Fans can watch the official “Lady Arkansas” video here.

Supporting David Jackson’s family

The announcement also directs fans to the family’s GoFundMe honoring David RollingCloud Jackson. Organizer Danni Wong says donations will help with transporting him home to Minnesota and funeral expenses. Fans who would like to help can read the family’s message directly on the fundraiser page.

Hill’s original North American Everybody’s Home, Nobody’s Happy Tour dates have been postponed. His team says replacement dates for 2027 will be announced in the coming weeks, while the announced 2027 international dates remain confirmed. Check his official website for updates before making travel plans.

Here at CountryMusicNewsBlog.com, we’re keeping Jackson’s family and the people who shared the road with him in our thoughts as Hill shares this song with his fans.
