Chris Young Visits Minot Air Force Base

Chris Young Reunites With Buddy And Wounded Warrior. Chris Young, through the help of Stars For Stripes and the Minot Exchange, had an opportunity to reunite with Wounded Warrior Scott Lilley and spend some time with Airmen and their families at Minot Air Force Base for a CD signing last week. The special event took place prior to Young’s high-octane show at the North Dakota State Fair later that evening. Lilley, a former member of Minot Air Force Base 5th Security Forces, was seriously wounded in Iraq in the spring of 2007. He accompanied Young on a tour to entertain the troops in 2009 for Great American Country’s TV Special “Stars For Stripes: Wounded Warriors Return.” “It was awesome to see Scott again and always great to be around the brave men and women who serve our country,” says Young. Young proudly serves as a board member of Stars For Stripes, a non-profit organization that provides entertainment to deployed U.S. military forces in remote areas. 2012 is still looking up for Young, in addition to burning up the road with Miranda Lambert and her “On Fire” tour, he recently landed his fifth consecutive #1 single and posted two RIAA certified Gold singles. Tim McGraw Honors The Victims From The Theatre Shooting In Colorado. Many have given their support to the Aurora, CO shooting victims. Country artist Tim McGraw honored those victims during his Brothers of the Sun stop in Denver on Friday (7/21). Tim took a moment to remember the victims in the recent theatre shooting in the nearby city of Aurora. “I’m thinking about y’all and we’re praying for y’all. Our job tonight is to come out here for just a little while and put a smile on your face, to cut loose, have a good time and have a party in remembrance of the fine, fine folks who lost their lives a couple of days ago.” -McGraw Afterward his words, Tim performed the Christian rock song by Petra, “More Power to Ya’.”

Carrie Underwood Has Recorded A Duet With Steven Tyler. Carrie Underwood has recorded a duet with friend and fellow musician, Steven Tyler. The song is set to be on Aerosmith’s new album, Music From Another Dimension. The album, due in early November, is said to be different from anything the band has ever recorded. Underwood and Tyler have performed together a few times and each was a spectacular performance. With their chemistry the song is sure to be a hit!

Brad Paisley Possible American Idol Judge

Could Brad Paisley Be The Newest American Idol Judge? There is buzz around town that Brad Paisley could be the next American Idol judge. After Steven Tyler has stepped down from the position to pursue his music with Aerosmith, there is a definite spot open on the hit FOX show. Fellow country musicians Blake Shelton and Jennifer Nettles have recently been very successful on their respective musical competition shows, The Voice and Duets. Even though American Idol isn’t quite the same thing, this could be a great move on Paisley’s part. He is a successful veteran in the music industry who could add a touch of southern charm! Matt Stillwell Partners With Ole Smoky Moonshine

Ole Smoky Moonshine And Matt Stillwell Have A Brand New Mobile Unit. Matt Stillwell has partnered with Ole Smoky Moonshine to have a brand new, custom bus wrap of the traditional moonshine mason jar. The bus will hit the road TODAY, July 26, on Stillwell’s tour making stops all along the west coast. Michael Simonis, part of the Ole Smoky team, thought the company motto of honoring tradition and hard work was a great fit with Stillwell and his music, not to mention his love of “shine.” “After Matt and the Ole Smoky Team were sippin’ moonshine one night, the partnership felt perfect to grow together.” -Simonis East Tennessee’s first federally licensed distillery, distributed in 37 states with plans to be in all 50 by the end of the year, Ole Smoky Moonshine is proud to finally be able to legally share the best spirits in the mountains. After his bus was destroyed in March 2012 from the violent Kentucky tornadoes, Stillwell is excited to share his new and improved bus to his fans. Craig Campbell Is Currently In The Studio! Craig Campbell is back in the studio with producer Keith Stegall. They are working on his next album, the follow up to his critically acclaimed debut. A brand new single is expected late this summer with an album expected for early next year.

Turnpike Troubadours Gin, Smoke, Lies Video

The Official Music Video For The Turnpike Troubadours’ “Gin, Smoke, Lies,” “Gin, Smoke, Lies” is the Turnpike Troubadours’ current and first single from their recent album Goodbye Normal Street. They just released the official music video for the song, which is their first ever. These Oklahoma boys are all about the music and listening to any of their three albums will show you that. Just last week I caught a show of theirs in Fort Smith, Ar, where they killed it! They were part of the Mustang Brewery & Jim Beam Distillery “Razing Hops ‘n Hell” tour, along with The Dirty River Boys and The Brandon Clark Band.
