Love and Theft Perform Live Featured on Yahoo Music. Love and Theft might be heading out on tour with Tim McGraw‘s 2013 Two Lanes of Freedom Tour in May, but in the meantime, they had a little time to check in with Yahoo and perform their single “Runnin’ Out Of Air” for fans. 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards Announce Nominations for Newcomer Categories! The Academy of Country Music announced the first round of nominations for the 2013 ACM Awards earlier this week. The categories announced so far showcase country music “newcomers,” and for the fifth consecutive year fans will be able to vote for their favorite artists in these specific categories. Voting will open on Monday, January 21st, and you can vote on ACM’s official page or at GAC.com. Individual trophies will be awarded to winners in each of the categories below, and the three winners will compete for the final New Artist of the Year Award the night of the broadcast. I’m a little surprised that Thompson Square and Lee Brice haven’t graduated out of the new artist/newcomer groups yet, but all those nominated are great artists! Love and Theft to Perform at Nashville New Year’s Celebration! Love and Theft are joining a multi-genre line-up of performances in Nashville, TN on December 31st to ring in the New Year! They’ll be performing alongside The Fray, Sixpence None the Richer (yay!) and Striking Matches! The event begins at 7pm and will be hosted by GAC personality Storme Warren (woohoo!). I don’t know about you, but some great live music sounds like the perfect way to bring in 2013, right? Oh yeah, and its free and open to the public!! Love and Theft To Be Featured On GACs Day Jobs! Love and Theft will be featured on GAC‘s “Day Jobs“, and what will they be doing, you wonder? Just the finest of all endeavors…making whiskey! The country music duo will be working alongside Jamey Grosser, the owner of Popcorn Sutton’s White Whiskey Distillery, and will be seeing just how whiskey gets made! Wonder if they’ll get to keep what they make (though, they may not want to…)? The episode will air Wednesday, May 16th at 9pm!
Love & Theft Perform Their Hit Song “Angel Eyes” On The Hit TV Show GCB! RCA duo, Love and Theft (Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson) performed their hit single, “Angel Eyes,” on last night’s episode of ABC‘s new hit drama, GCB. The show stars Leslie Bibb, Kristin Chenoweth, Annie Potts, Miriam Shor, Jennifer Aspen and Marisol Nichols and airs at 10/9c on Sunday Nights. “Performing ‘Angel Eyes’ on GCB was definitely a killer experience. I started watching the show from episode one and I really love it. I grew up a preacher’s kid so I can closely relate to a lot of the dialog. We are thrilled to be involved with such a fun new show.” -Stephen “Being a part of GCB was a blast. The cast was so easy to work with and they made us feel right at home.
