The Eli Young Band Now Has Their Second Consecutive #1 Song With “Even If It Breaks Your Heart.” The Eli Young Band has gained their second consecutive #1 song with “Even If It Breaks Your Heart.” The follow up to “Crazy Girl” has a great message that has obviously impacted country music listeners. The song itself has its own life and seems to take over the space you are in while listening, from the opening beat to the intensity of the chorus, it is hard not to enjoy this song! Congrats to these guys, because they are very deserving and obviously practicing what they preach! The Official Music Video For Colt Ford’s “Back,” Featuring Jake Owen. The official music video for Colt Ford’s “Back” is here. The song features Jake Owen and is the lead single from Ford’s upcoming album, Declaration of Independence, which is due in stores August 7. “Back” was filmed in Ford’s hometown of Athens, GA and was directed by Team Genius Films’ Potsy Ponciroli. The video was produced by Shannon Houchins and is literal to the lyrics, complete with Ford’s family making their video debut. “The song is so close to my heart. It’s my life and wanted to keep it real by having my whole family in the video. I am proud of the song and the visual we created. We went ‘back’ home and captured images from my mom’s house, the baseball field and roller rink I wrote about in the song. It’s a true representation of what this song is about and the visual portrays the sentiment perfectly.” -Ford “Back,” which was co-written by Ford, Shannon Houchins and Noah Gordan, was recently released to country radio and has sold over 30,000 digital downloads in less than three weeks. Billy Currington’s “Good Directions” Has Been Certified Platinum, Making It His Third! Billy Currington’s song “Good Directions” was just recently certified platinum, making it his third song to do so to date. “Good Directions,” which comes off of his Doin’ Somethin’ Right album, was written by Luke Bryan and Rachel Thibodeau and was a previous summertime hit! “This is my third platinum song and it never gets old. I’m so happy to receive this honor. I’d like to say thank you to Luke Bryan and Rachel Thibodeau for writing such an incredible song. People always tell me it’s one of their favorites and this certification just proves that even more. Jason Aldean Has Released His First Single From His Upcoming Album. Jason Aldean has released his latest single, “Take A Little Ride.” The brand new song is the follow up to his successful “Fly Over States,” and will be on his upcoming 5th studio album due out this fall. “Everyone has been asking if the new album is going to be different from the My Kinda Party album. I tried to find the best songs that I could and also ones that fit what I do in my live show. There’s a little bit of everything, including some more traditional country stuff and some songs that might raise a few eyebrows. I thought this would be a great lead single to come with after “Fly Over States”…it’s about grabbing your girl and getting lost in the country. Sounds like a pretty good Friday night to me.” -Aldean I love to hear brand new music from an artist, so I can’t wait to get my hands on this next album that Aldean has in the works! Florida Georgia Line Has Signed A Record Deal With Republic Nashville. Florida Georgia Line has signed a record deal with Republic Nashville. Tyler Hubbard (Georgia) and Brian Kelley (Florida) recently released their digital EP It’z Just What We Do and their debut single “Cruise” has sold over 100,000 downloads to date. “Florida Georgia Line has built a gigantic army of loyal fans, one by one all across the USA and Canada! Their talent, energy and work ethic are second to none.” –Jimmy Harnen, Republic Nashville President and Big Machine Label Group EVP FGL will finish out their commitments to Jake Owen and Brantley Gilbert on tour. The band tweeted, “We have signed a record deal with Republic Nashville!! They are about to take “Cruise” the rest of the way up the charts! I have had the fortune of seeing these boys live when they opened for Corey Smith one night and I knew then big things were going to be happening for them soon. Bucky Covington And Shooter Jennings Raised A Little Cain While Filming The Music Video For Their Duet, “Drinking Side of Country.” Bucky Covington had a great time last week while filming the music video for his new duet with Shooter Jennings. The “Drinking Side of Country” video will premiere in the coming weeks and will be on Bucky’s sophomore album, Good Guys. The video is full of action with Bucky and Shooter getting into all kinds of trouble, including a high-speed chase through the tiny town of Greensburg, KY. The video also features country singer Kellie Pickler, 5-time WWE Champion and current TNA Impact Knockout wrestler Mickie James and professional freestyle motocrosser Cowboy Kenny Bartram. “Drinking Side of Country” was written by Bucky, his twin brother Rocky and Ducky Medlock.
