Josh Turner Will Celebrate Independence Day On PBS! Josh Turner will be celebrating the 4th of July on PBS’s A Capitol Fourth. It will air at 8pm ET/7pm CT tonight. He will perform “Firecracker” and “The Star Spangled Banner,” backed by the National Symphony Orchestra. Turner is also set to appear on Good Morning America July 11th. Josh Turner Set To Feature New Album on Home Shopping Network! Josh Turner is scheduled to debut his upcoming album release, Punching Bag, on the television retailer, the Home Shopping Network (otherwise known as HSN). Turner will be featured on the network on May 25th at 9pm as part of HSN’s Americana event, and he will perform a special concert that will be available through HSN, HSN.com, HSN mobile and HSN on Facebook. “It’s always exciting for me to share new music early with my fans, so I can’t wait to perform live on HSN during the HSN Live concert series. He has one of those unmistakable voices that make people say “WOW!” I (along with a good majority of the world) love it! 2. His Attitude! It seems like he is always smiling and laughing. He is a family man who really enjoys what he does. We don’t hear about him in the gossip mags because that just isn’t his style! With that being said…I’m really digging this song! Josh Turner Releases Time Is Love, New Single From Upcoming 2012 Album! Josh Turner released new music today, Tuesday, December 20th! His latest single titled, “Time Is Love“, is the debut song off his upcoming album release in 2012. The song was penned by Tom Shapiro, Tony Martin and Mark Nesler, and Turner’s selection of it proves his ability to pick out quality content that fans will find relatable. “This song grabbed me from the first listen because it has such an infectious melody and lyrically it really tells a message that I have been wanting to say for a long time…It’s not about quality time but quantity time and taking the time to get to know the person better and develop a relationship with that person.” -Josh Turner Turner has four previous #1 hits (“Your Man,” “Would You Go With Me,” “Why Don’t We Just Dance,” “All Over Me”), and there is a good chance this could be his fifth. It will hit country airwaves in January 2012, but it is already available through iTunes for fans to preview and purchase. Now, his new album doesn’t have a title yet (at least, he’s not telling anyone about it so far), but I took a listen to “Time Is Love” and its enough to get me ready to hear the rest of the album! Josh Turner Reaches Out to Students in Ringgold Georgia. Josh Turner is taking time to help support the students and community in Ringgold, Georgia who are coping with the devastation of an EF-4 tornado, which ripped through the town on April 27 destroying approximately half of the businesses, homes, and community. Turner will be hosting a benefit concert, “After The Storm: Coming Together Benefit Concert With Josh Turner” on Thursday, July 14th at the Davis Cattle Company in Ringgold, GA. All of the proceeds will be contributed to the Ringgold Band and the Ringgold athletic fund. Tickets go on sale today, Friday, June 24th!
Josh Turner Stops By For Duet with Scotty McCreery. Josh Turner paid a special visit to American Idol contestant Scotty McCreery during his finalist celebration. Taking place in McCreery’s hometown of Garner, N.C., this included a special concert in front of over 30,000 fans. McCreery’s “gold ticket” audition song which carried him through much of the American Idol competition was Josh Turner’s “Your Man“, and just as McCreery was beginning to perform the song for his fans, Josh Tuner appeared on stage very nearly giving McCreery a heart attack. Josh and Scotty then performed “Your Man” together on stage to the delight of all the fans present. McCreery has received much attention throughout the competition, and honestly, his performances, at least as far as his stage presence is concerned, have improved. However, it remains that Scotty simply is not an original talent. He is a copy, either intentionally or by accident, of Josh Turner. The surprise visit by Josh was incredibly generous, and it is nice to see a country star put his weight behind a newcomer. Yet, it is painfully obvious just how similar Scotty’s voice is to Josh’s when you hear them sing together. It is actually difficult to tell that their are two people, not one, singing. Originality is important, and Scotty, up to this point, just has not proved he has it in him. It seems America is a fan of Scotty McCreery, and that he will continue to have success on or off idol. I will probably just go straight to the source though, and stick with Josh Turner. The episode of American Idol featuring footage of the duet will air Thursday, May 19th, and you can see what I mean then.

Josh Turner is already climbing the charts with his hit “Why Don’t We Just Dance”, and I can tell you the rest of the album is just as great! From start to finish it is solid, emotional, and just absolute vocal perfection! I just can’t get enough of that booming bass boy and I bet neither can you! Josh Turner’s brand new album, Haywire, hits store shelves one week from today! Josh Turner is ready to release a deluxe version of his new album, Haywire, on February 9th. The deluxe version will include the 11 songs that appear on the standard version (also in stores on February 9) as well as two previously unreleased songs and live audio tracks of his hits “Your Man” and “Long Black Train.” There will also be digital elements that include the music video for the debut single “Why Don’t We Just Dance” and behind the scenes footage of Turner in the recording studio discussing every song on the album. Here’s a taste! In addition, Turner will be featured on the Great American Country network’s one-hour Origins series (airdates/times below). During the special, Turner shares personal stories about his musical journey from Hannah, SC to Nashville and how he and his wife Jennifer have adjusted to touring with their two sons, Hampton (age 3) and Colby (7 months). The show also features an intimate performance taped at the famed Loveless Barn. Turner’s “Why Don’t We Just Dance,” the first single from HAYWIRE, broke into the Top Ten this week.
