Just announced, here’s your line-up for Country Thunder 2011 in Twin Lakes Wisconsin! It may be getting colder, but country fans are getting heated up! Country Thunder has just announced their lineup for the Twin Lakes, WI music festival next summer! Kicking off the festival on Thursday, is 2010 CMA “Vocal Group of the Year” Lady Antebellum. Newly crowned CMA “New Artist of the Year” Zac Brown Band won’t want to be missed on Friday and 4 time CMA “Female Vocalist of the Year” Martina McBride hits the stage on Saturday night. Last but absolutely not the least country music’s most awarded group of the decade, Rascal Flatts, will close out the festival. The Country Thunder festival will run July 21-24th 2011 with camping, activities, and even VIP options. ABC brings you the hottest country stars to ring in the holiday season with song! Country’s biggest stars are joining together with special hostess Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland to celebrate the holidays! In true Christmas spirit, these artists will celebrate the season with songs and stories that are sure to warm your heart. Joined by some of their family members, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, LeAnn Rimes, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Rascal Flatts, Reba, Sheryl Crow, and Sugarland will share with fans their holiday traditions and memories. “CMA Country Christmas” was taped in front of a live audience on Thursday, November 11 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The special will air Monday November 29th so set your DVR’s!
The Oak Ridge Boys are back! For Christmas that is. The Oak Ridge Boys are back on the road this winter for their annual Christmas tour. This year they will tour from mid-November through December 22nd, hitting 18 states and 29 cities before topping it off with a grand celebration at the newly re-opened Gaylord Opryland Resort! The Boys are thrilled to be ending their holiday tour in Nashville. “It’s such an honor to play the last day of our tour this year in our hometown. It will provide a great opportunity for all of our local friends, fans and family to celebrate Christmas with The Oak Ridge Boys,” The Oaks’ Joe Bonsall explains, “we have been doing a full out Christmas tour since 1988, and since we last brought the tour to Nashville, our children have grown and we all have grandkids. In the great tradition of all country artists who have proved their worth in a recording studio, Jason Michael Carroll has taken the obvious next step in his relationship with fans. He has given us a Christmas album! “Christmas on the Farm” released yesterday, and is already enjoying a little radio airplay, even though we’re not in full holiday mode yet. “I have always wanted to do a Christmas album and as you can image having four children at home we do spend a lot of time singing around tree. When I heard ‘Christmas on the Farm’ I knew that was the song and one I thought radio would love to play. My kids have always wanted me to do a Christmas album, so with that song as the lead and my children’s favorite ‘Joy to The World’, I knew we had to do it,” says Jason Michael Carroll. Jason Aldean takes the My Kind of Party tour to 32 venues in spring 2011! After phenomenal success with the release of “My Kind Of Party” it’s no surprise that Jason Aldean is naming his tour after that hit single! Jason sent out the announcement today that the 2011 My Kind of Party tour will reach 32 cities, with the official kick-off show in Little Rock, AR. Joining him on the tour is Eric Church and the JaneDear Girls. The Opryland Hotel and Convention Center celebrates a star-studded grand re-opening after a $270 MILLION dollar restoration and renovation! The gals over at CountryMusicTattleTale.com have excellent coverage of the exciting grand re-opening of the Opryland Hotel in Nashville Tennessee. We all know that the flooding back in May did nothing short of grinding Nashville tourism to a halt, but our hearts broke when we saw how bad it damaged some of the town’s most historic landmarks. But like most hardships Tennessean’s face, they have turned this one into an opportunity as well. In addition to restoring the Opryland Hotel and repairing alll of the flood damage, they have also added more restaurants, attractions, and room upgrades throughout the entire facility. I for one, can’t wait to visit! Expect to see some welcome-back performances from Keith Urban, Sheryl Crow and Trace Adkins as we celebrate the rebirth of a Nashville Landmark.
