Jason Aldean Sells Out Upcoming Tour Date In Nashville. This past Friday tickets went on sale for Jason Aldean‘s February 24th “My Kinda Party” tour stop at Nashville‘s Bridgestone Arena. In an exciting turn of events, the show sold out in just minutes (that’s over 15,000 tickets)! While he has been riding a wave of success for awhile now, Aldean is still blown away by such a display of loyalty from his fans! “It feels good to sell out any venue in any city, but to sell out your hometown is just an unbelievable feeling. I can’t wait to come home for this one … you can bet me and the boys in the band will be ready to go that night!” -Jason Aldean For that particular show date, Luke Bryan will be the opening act. So, that really is gonna be one heck of a show!

Willie Nelson Lyle Lovett and More Host Texas Benefit

Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett, Dixie Chicks and Others Perform Relief Concert. Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett, The Dixie Chicks and Asleep at the Wheel will be hosting a benefit concert, “Fire Relief: The Concert for Central Texas” on October 17th at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, TX. The event will be hosted by “Friday Night Lights” star, Kyle Chandler and actor Turk Pipkin. Other special guests include Shawn Colvin, The Court Yard Hounds, Steve Miller, The Texas Tornados, guitarists Eric Johnson and Joe Satriani. Tickets will go on sale Friday, September 23 at 12pm and are $25, $35, $100 and $250 VIP. The VIP ticket price includes premium seating and access to the VIP Lounge in the Lone Star Room. In addition to performances, there will be a silent auction with specialty items autographed by the artists, and T-shirts with the concert’s logo for sale. This concert event is intended to raise funds to support the families who have suffered complications from and dealt with the wildfires in Texas all summer. All proceeds from this event will of to Central Texas Wildfire Fund at the Austin Community Foundation. It’s great to see that no matter the need, country musicians and fans are willing to step up to the plate, pitch in, and help those in need.

Taylor Swift To Release Speak Now World Tour Live CD+DVD. We all know that Taylor Swift is capable of selling out massive stadiums and theaters all over the world. We all know that Taylor Swift has incredibly loyal fans who will follow her anywhere. We also know that not all of her fans had to means or the opportunity to attend the concerts on her Speak Now World Tour. We have good news for those fans! Taylor Swift has announced the release of a Speak Now World Tour Live CD+DVD set. This special concert DVD will be available November 21st, and will include 75 minutes of music which features all 17 songs from Swift’s Speak Now tour.

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will be joining host Lon Helton on the September 24th/25th edition of Country Countdown USA. In addition to helping countdown the week’s top country radio hits, Brad and Carrie will share tidbits and stories from their lives! Brad will clue in fans on how he got Carrie interested in recording their current hit single duet “Remind Me“. Carrie will give insight into her experiences singing with other iconic singers like rocker Stephen Tyler and crooner Tony Bennett. Country Countdown USA is recorded live each week on Nashville’s historic Music Row, and counts down each week’s Top 30! Brad is currently wrapping up his H20II-Tour with Blake Shelton this week, and both Brad and Carrie are gearing up to co-host the CMA Awards in November!

CMA Announces First Performers

First Round of Performers for 2011 CMA Awards Announced! The 45th Annual CMA Awards are quickly approaching, and there is much chatter all over the industry about all the details from nominations to possible performances to this year’s hosts! We heard weeks ago that Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will be reprising their roles of host from the 2010 CMA Awards, and the nominations for all twelve categories were announced just a week or so ago. (Click here to see more on the nominations!) Now, slowly but surely, the list of performers anticipated for the show are starting to be announced as well. We just got news of the first round of performances confirmed, and I do not think you will be disappointed! All five of the artists nominated in the “Entertainer of the Year” category, and this includes Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton and Keith Urban. Also of note, four of the nominees, basically everyone except Keith Urban, all earned five nominations this year! The 2011 CMA Awards will take place on November 9th, and air on ABC at 8PM ET. Tickets for the 45th Annual CMA Awards go on sale on Saturday, September 24th at 10:00AM CT.

Trace Adkins will be featured on the next episode of the concert series “Invitation Only” set to air on CMT on Sunday, September 25th. Earlier this year, Brantley Gilbert signed with Valory Music Company, and Tuesday, September 13th marked his first album release date with his new label. Gilbert has released a deluxe edition of his Halfway to Heaven album that is packed with lots of features fans will surely appreciate. Alan Jackson to Perform at Commemorative Concert in Remembrance of 9/11. This weekend there will be a number of events taking place in Washington D.C., as well as all over the country, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of September 11th. Alan Jackson will be performing along with others in the capstone event of the weekend, “A Concert for Hope“. The concert will take place at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall at 7:30pm. There will be other performances by Patti LaBelle, Denyce Graves and the Marine Chamber Orchestra in addition to poetry, readings and reflections. The program will also include a speech from President Barack Obama.
