Taylor Swift surprises many by adding modern rock band NEEDTOBREATHE as a featured artist on her Speak Now tour. Taylor Swift announced today that NEEDTOBREATHE has been added as a featured artist to the North American dates of her already quick-selling Speak Now Tour. “It means a lot to us that Taylor hand-picked us for her Speak Now tour,” NEEDTOBREATHE guitarist and co-songwriter Bo Rinehart says. “Everyone knows she has amazing fans, and we thrive on performing live, especially in front of new audiences.” NEEDTOBREATHE will join the SPEAK NOW Tour when the North American leg kicks off on May 27th in Omaha, Neb., and will be featured on all shows in the US and Canada. The Opryland Hotel and Convention Center celebrates a star-studded grand re-opening after a $270 MILLION dollar restoration and renovation! The gals over at CountryMusicTattleTale.com have excellent coverage of the exciting grand re-opening of the Opryland Hotel in Nashville Tennessee. We all know that the flooding back in May did nothing short of grinding Nashville tourism to a halt, but our hearts broke when we saw how bad it damaged some of the town’s most historic landmarks. But like most hardships Tennessean’s face, they have turned this one into an opportunity as well. In addition to restoring the Opryland Hotel and repairing alll of the flood damage, they have also added more restaurants, attractions, and room upgrades throughout the entire facility. I for one, can’t wait to visit! Expect to see some welcome-back performances from Keith Urban, Sheryl Crow and Trace Adkins as we celebrate the rebirth of a Nashville Landmark. The Judds to turn their Last Encore tour into a reality show on Oprah’s OWN network? Country’s classic duo, The Judds, have announced that they will be documenting their Last Encore tour to be aired on the Oprah Winfrey network. After watching the pair in a few recent interviews, I’m sure this will be interesting to say the very least. They both display so much tension between them, even in short interview segments, that I can only imagine what it would be like to follow them around with a camera 24/7. The duo is optimistic about the series though, stating: After 25 years of touring, recording and singing the music we love, we are beyond excited to begin this new adventure together and share it with the fans,” mother and daughter said in a statement. “To have this opportunity is amazing and the OWN Network is the perfect home for us.” I wish them both the best of luck and can’t wait for the tour to kick off later this month! Country star and hero to many in the Savannah, TN area, Darryl Worley announces the early opening of the Darryl Worley Cancer Treatment Center, located on the campus of the Hardin Medical Center.
