Second Annual Railroad Revival Tour Canceled. The Railroad Revival Tour was supposed to be a concert tour that would travel by train to stops across the U.S. and feature performances by Willie Nelson, Jamey Johnson, Band of Horses and John Reilly & Friends. However, this epic-sounding event is no more as it has been canceled. They made the announcement via their website with the following message: “It is with extreme regret that we announce the cancellation of the 2012 Railroad Revival Tour. “The decision to do so was a difficult one, but it was determined that certain complications would not permit us to host the shows in the manner intended, and that the bands and fans deserved.” Unfortunately, the organizers didn’t provide any other explanation about the cancellation. Thankfully, ticket holders are being given a full refund.

Since October 1964 the Country Music Association has recognized the month of October as the official month to especially recognize events and institutions of Country Music! “‘Country Music Month’ was created to acknowledge in the city of NASHVILLE, the importance of Country music, what it means to our city, what it means to our country, what it means to us as a city in terms of our economy, our reputation as a center for business and tourism.” – Nashville Mayor Karl Dean Country Music Month culminates in the 46th Annual CMA Awards broadcasting live from the Bridgestone arena in the heart of downtown Nashville on Thursday, November 1st on ABC. Dustin Lynch Gets A Little Love and A Key From His Hometown! I love how country music artists always get so much love from their hometowns!! And when you’ve got the chance to claim a singer like Dustin Lynch, of course you want to show him some appreciation. Last weekend (Saturday September 29th), Lynch was honored with a “Key To The City” in his hometown of Tullahoma, TN! Dustin headlined the town’s annual “41-A Music Festival”, and was welcomed on stage by Mayor Lane Curlee before his performance and presented with “the key”. Showing his true colors, Lynch responded with humble comment. “This is so awesome and unexpected. I haven’t gotten a chance to come back and play in Tullahoma since this whole thing started, even though I still come home every chance I get to see my family and friends. Just getting to play for my hometown was so special to me – this topped off the night. I’m proud of my hometown and this is something I’ll always treasure.” -Dustin Lynch This is a pretty big deal, especially for someone just kicking off their career. Congrats, Dustin!
