Josh Turner Releases Time Is Love, New Single From Upcoming 2012 Album! Josh Turner released new music today, Tuesday, December 20th! His latest single titled, “Time Is Love“, is the debut song off his upcoming album release in 2012. The song was penned by Tom Shapiro, Tony Martin and Mark Nesler, and Turner’s selection of it proves his ability to pick out quality content that fans will find relatable. “This song grabbed me from the first listen because it has such an infectious melody and lyrically it really tells a message that I have been wanting to say for a long time…It’s not about quality time but quantity time and taking the time to get to know the person better and develop a relationship with that person.” -Josh Turner Turner has four previous #1 hits (“Your Man,” “Would You Go With Me,” “Why Don’t We Just Dance,” “All Over Me”), and there is a good chance this could be his fifth. Check Out Newcomer Andy Gibson’s Rendition of The Christmas Song. New on the scene, Andy Gibson, is offering country music fans his very own rendition of the holiday classic, “The Christmas Song“. From Nat King Cole to the Manheim Steamrollers to Hootie & The Blowfish (What’s up, Darius Rucker?), everyone and their grandmother has done some version of this song. Strangely though, at least for me, this tune never gets old. Maybe it’s the nostalgia, maybe it’s just that great of a song, no matter who is singing it, I always enjoy hearing it. I have to say, Gibson’s version is not an exception. He has a great voice, and he does the song justice. After having some success in her younger days on the Dance Pop charts, this mother of two teenagers is back and with a whole new perspective this time! The Long Island New Yorker released her EP (Me Time) earlier this year and with all her dedication and talent, she is sure to gain some fans. She recently recorded “Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)” with the Broadway Youth Ensemble and here is the video for it! Brad Paisley Uses His Voice To Support A-T Children’s Project. Brad Paisley has a new song available, but this new song, “Hard Life“, is anything but average. It was written by a young man from Springfield, VA named Joe Kindregan who has A-T or ataxia-telangiectasia, a rare, fatal genetic disease that combines the symptoms of cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, immune deficiencies and cancer. Brad and Joe met a fundraising benefit in 2005, and have maintained contact over the years. Joe was inspired to write this song when his friend Brian lost his battle with the same disease. Joe wanted to put into lyrics the struggle of living with such a disease, both the good and bad aspects. He drew from his own experiences and from interviewing others who also have A-T. Joe wrote his thoughts and shared them Paisley who decided to run with the project. Kindregan had the opportunity to visit Nashville twice to see the behind the scenes work of taking his lyrics and making a song out of them. “I’ve known Joe for several years and he is one of my favorite people. His disease is physically debilitating but obviously creatively and mentally Joe has such tremendous depth. Bucky Covington Releases His New Single “I Wanna Be That Feeling.” After signing a record deal with Entertainment One Music Group earlier this fall, Bucky Covington is releasing his first single “I Wanna Be That Feeling.” Written by Jimmy Yeary and Ben Hayslip, the single is a tempo love track and is Covington’s first release in two years. The song has been made available for download here and wherever digital music is sold, before it hits radio. Covington recently filmed the music video for the song in Nashville’s abandoned Tennessee State Prison. Be looking for that in the new year. Right now the singer is busy in the studio recording and writing new songs for his sophomore album due out in 2012!
Taylor Swift Has A Surprising Ending In The Music Video For Ours. Taylor Swift’s latest single “Ours” has a surprising new video to go with it. The song speaks of a relationship that is understood by the only two involved in it. The video has the same general quirky theme as most of hers do, until we reach the end. At the end the love of her life is a soldier coming home. There has been some mixed reviews over this part, some say how sweet and others say when did she become active in supporting our military?
