Trace Adkins – Cowboy’s Back In Town

Trace Adkins new album, Cowboy’s Back in Town, is almost here! Trace Adkins fans are chomping at the bit to get a taste of his new album “Cowboy’s Back in Town”, and to be honest, so are we! The album releases nationwide on August 17th, but for those who can’t wait, here’s a sneak peek at the making of the video for “This Ain’t No Love Song”. This is the first single off the new album. This is Trace’s first release after joining Show Dog Universal Records, headed by Toby Keith. The album is vintage Trace Adkins, with songs ranging from those celebrating love, like the tender “Still Love You,” to those showcasing the rowdy side of country living, like the hilarious “Hold My Beer.” Adkins is at the top of his game vocally, and the album shows him re-emerging as a top-flight songwriter, as he penned the title track, “Cowboy’s Back In Town,” with friends Jeff Bates and Kenny Beard, who co-produced along with Michael Knox (Jason Aldean). He is joined by special guests Trailer Choir, whose cool-as-a-breeze vocals add the perfect touch to “Don’t Mind If I Don’t,” a song celebrating love as the perfect excuse to take it easy.

John Rich Rocks Out

John Rich talks Gibson guitars, rock and roll, and his new album! In a recent interview with Gibson Guitars, John Rich goes into detail about his new solo album, and where he is at in music today. From citing this as “the most aggressive rock and roll music he’s ever made” to discussing his love of his very special Gibson Hummingbird. I‘ve always been a Gibson guy, going back to watching my Dad play. He had an old Gibson,” Rich said. “As soon as I had enough money to buy a Gibson, I did. I got a vintage Hummingbird and I think I paid like $600 for it and spent another $500 getting it fixed up good enough to play. And on that particular Hummingbird I’ve written over 1,000 songs. That’s my writer guitar – when I sit down to write something serious that’s the guitar I pull out. “I love the tone of the Gibson. It’s got the beef on the bottom but its got that cut too. You know, Martin has a sound that’s more high end, a ringing sound but the Gibson offers more range from low to high. All the music you heard from me and on Big & Rich, acoustically, is always on Gibson guitars. My hands have spent thousands of hours on Gibson guitars because Gibson stands for excellence. Take my new song, the main promotion shot is me looking down the neck of a Gibson guitar and the folks in Nashville put rhinestones all around it for me and carved Muzik Mafia. Veteran musician, Jerry Lee Lewis called on a few friends to help his next album shine. “Mean Old Man’ is set to release September 7th on Verve/Universal Music. Craig Morgan and Cracker Barrel

Craig Morgan partners with Cracker Barrel on a special album release. Craig Morgan has worked a deal with country food restaraunt chain Cracker Barrel to release a special edition of “That’s Why – Collector’s Edition” which comes out July 26. This CD features 13 songs, including Bonfire and This Ain’t Nothin plus two previously unreleased songs. “Cracker Barrel offers the closest thing to home cooking when I am on the road touring. Music is what I do, but country living is who I am, so it’s really nice to have them both come together with my CD at Cracker Barrel,” said Morgan. Courtyard Hounds Debut Album

Martie McGuire and Emily Robison of Dixie Chicks fame have finally released their debut album under The Courtyard Hounds! For those who have been holding their breath for the next tasty tidbit from those Dixie Chicks gals, hold it no longer! Martie and Emily have finally released their new album as The Courtyard Hounds. Expect to see them making the media rounds with appearances on today’s episode of The View,  CBS’ Late Show with David Letterman tomorrow, and Ellen on Wednesday May 12th. Brad Paisley Releases First Song Off American Saturday Nights

Brad Paisley releases “Then”, the first single off his new album “American Saturday Nights” which is due out this summer! Brad Paisley received much critical acclaim when he unveiled the first single from his new album during last night’s Country Radio Seminar. Quotes like , “If he needed another career song, this would be it!” and “It’s quite possibly the best song he’s ever done, and that’s saying a lot,” from renowned country radio stations are already pouring in. Paisley is set to release his new album, American Saturday Night, on June 30. The disc marks Paisley’s eighth studio album, including a holiday collection and his most recent release, last year’s mostly-instrumental excursion: the chart-topping Play. The first single from American Saturday Night – “Then,” co-written by Paisley, Chris DuBois, and Ashley Gorley – was unveiled last night during an invitation-only performance for an enthusiastic audience of industry movers & shakers gathered in Nashville for the annual Country Radio Seminar. “Then” will ship to country radio stations this Monday, March 9, with an official airplay impact date of March 23. Fans anxious to latch onto a copy won’t have to wait long, since the digital single for “Then” will be available at online music providers everywhere beginning March 17. Wynonna Judd returns to a more classic country sound with her new album”Sing: Chapter 1″ Due to hit store shelves February 3rd. It’s been a while since we’ve heard much from Wynonna Judd, but it’s been well worth the wait for long-time fans. Wynonna has released a preview of her new album “Sing: Chapter 1”for fans to listen to and enjoy. The album of standards that pay homage to her past is set to release nationwide on February 3rd, and I can’t wait! You can always depend on Wynonna to give a heartfelt performance of raw vocals, and soulful emotion in every song. My personal favorites on the new album are “Till I get it Right” and the original title track “Sing”. Really, the entire album completely embodies the all-consuming compulsion that a true singer has to just lay it all out on the table for the world to listen to just because it feels damned good to do so.
