Aaron Lewis’ New Album-The Road

Aaron Lewis Releases His First Full-Length, Solo, Country Album, The Road. Aaron Lewis fans have been patiently waiting for his full-length solo album, The Road, to be released. Co-produced by Lewis and James Stroud, The Road hit stores yesterday, November 13. The album follows Lewis’ debut solo EP, Town Line, which reached #1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart last year. The Grammy Award-nominated, multi-platinum singer, songwriter, and guitarist tells one story after another on The Road. Featuring ten songs, with all but one (“Granddaddy’s Gun”) written by the Lewis, The Road unfolds with a classic grit and an invigorating energy all directly from Lewis’s heart and soul. “Forever,” the current single just released to radio November 12, is a true product of the road itself. The new song captures the longing and loneliness of life on the tour bus, while reflecting the immortality of true love. A live acoustic version of “Forever” is available as part of an iTunes-exclusive deluxe version of the album along with four other live acoustic tracks. Below is a video of an interview Lewis did with The Boot on the behind the scenes parts of The Road. Check it out! You’ll get to hear some great stories from Lewis including one that involves Blake Shelton! Watch the video and pick up your copy of The Road!

Thomas Rhett Beer with Jesus Video

Check Out The Video for Thomas Rhett’s Single “Beer With Jesus”. A lot of folks have taken issue lately with some of the “flashy” elements that are becoming the norm in the country music industry, but Thomas Rhett‘s video for single “Beer With Jesus” heads in the opposite direction. It’s a simple and straightforward song, and the video mirrors this sentiment. Its pretty classic, and I really think it will appeal to most country fans! So, watch it below, and let me know what you think! Rhett’s single comes off his debut EP, currently available via iTunes and his website. Watch: Thomas Rhett’s “Beer With Jesus” Video.

Eli Young Band Say Goodnight Video

Watch Eli Young Band’s Sci Fi Themed New Video for “Say Goodnight”. Okay, this new video from Eli Young Band for single “Say Goodnight” is an odd one but a sweet one. Totally unexpected, the premise of the video involves a lovely young woman and her relationship with a robot (from outerspace?) that she runs over with a car. Besides loving country music, I’m also a huge science fiction nerd, so, I kind of love this video. You’ll have to see for yourself, though. Check it out below! Watch: Eli Young Band’s New Video for “Say Goodnight”.

Faith Hill American Heart Video

The Official Music Video For Faith Hill’s “American Heart.” Faith Hill has released the official music video for her current single, “American Heart.” She previously released a lyric video for the song and performed it on the CMA’s on November 1. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the song before and her performance didn’t help my opinions. That night on stage at the CMA’s she added a “God Bless America” to the end of the song and I was hoping it was a one time thing. It was kind of awkward and it didn’t really fit. Unfortunately she has added those 3 words, plus some, to the official music video. All that aside the video is pretty sweet! There are some cute kids at the beginning and the little boy with the big hair has got the moves! Watch the video below and tell us what you think!

Dustin Lynch She Cranks My Tractor Video

Watch Dustin Lynch’s Sexy New Video for She Cranks My Tractor. Whoa, after watching this video, I need a second to process what I just witnessed. Dustin Lynch‘s new vid for single “She Cranks My Tractor” plays a little like a pin-up calendar come to life. You’ve got an impossibly thin, tall and gorgeous woman holding welding equipment while wearing only a crop top, daisy dukes and leopard print heels. Its definitely sexy, but I think its probably going appeal more to male viewers than female viewers. Watch if for yourself below. Watch Dustin Lynch’s “She Cranks My Tractor” Video! Kelly Clarkson Don’t Rush: Single Review

Guest Post: Kelly Clarkson Forays Into Country with ‘Don’t Rush’ – Single Review. I, like I assume many others are, am still confused as to Kelly Clarkson’s nomination for CMA Female Vocalist of the Year (Olivia Newton-John Gate anyone?), as the only country I was aware of her making was the country mix of her previously pop song ‘Mr Know It All’ and a duet with Jason Aldean on ‘Don’t You Wanna Stay’. Correct me if I’m wrong. So in mind of this, it seems almost as if Kelly has made an effort to make country music to sort of prove her worthiness, duetting with Vince Gill (always a good start) on her new single, ‘Don’t Rush‘. I’m not doubting that Kelly could have a real country career if she wanted to and make proper country music, but this seems like an attempt to please all camps. The song is in a soul/R&B style that reminds me very much of Kelly’s first album, Thankful (music which I’m pretty sure she claimed not to have had much part in making, preferring rockier stuff, coincidentally), but from the off we’re confronted with a steel guitar. However, it doesn’t come across as being played in a very country manner, and reminds me more of the Hawaiian roots from which it originates. The sounds are far more focused on a soul swung beat, and the ‘country’ elements such as the steel guitar and the twangy electric guitar solo become part of the song as opposed to infusing it with country. You can barely even hear Vince, you have to actually listen properly just to hear his background vocals, and when they sing overlapping alternate “baby don’t rush”s towards the end, he just sounds like a session musician brought in to fill up the mix. Nothing is really made of his contribution whatsoever, and it feels as if she’s getting by on his name in order to get airplay on country stations. It is what I would call a ‘lazy Sunday’ song, a chilled, lying in the sun kind of soundtrack, and it’s pleasant enough on the ears without begging me to play it again. The chorus has a nice melody but not fantastic or terribly catchy. It just all sounds a little average to me, trying to hop on the back of her decidedly random CMA nomination and the fact she scored Vince Gill to join her in the studio. Or rather, sing quietly over her vocals after she’d long left to go get pizza. I have always liked Kelly Clarkson (Breakaway was the soundtrack to my 2005/2006), but with so many people attaching themselves to the country brand for the privileges involved these days, I’m automatically suspicious when I hear something like this. However, it’s not bad as such, just not as good nor as country as I expected, so if you would like to buy it you can get it on iTunes although I can’t currently find a link. David Kroll Releases Little Soldiers For Veterans Day

David Kroll Helps Charity With Proceeds From “Little Soldiers.” David Kroll’s current single, “Little Soldiers” has touched many soldiers and families. In honor of Veterans Day (November 11th), the artist and Tenacity Records have partnered with the Code of Support Foundation and will be donating proceeds from a two-week sales period to the organization (November 5th – 18th). The Foundation’s mission is to bridge the gap between civilian and military America. Kroll wrote the song withArlos Smith (Mayberry) and it acknowledges the sacrifices made by the families of those serving their country. “David came to us with the idea of putting this song out there to honor the families of service members and veterans, and then we both agreed that we wanted to try and have a positive impact past the song itself. That’s when we started looking around for a partner who could benefit from any money raised by sales of this song. We all felt the Code of Support Foundation was a great choice and could put money the sales of this recording generates to good use, helping the families of the enlisted men and women who are serving our country.” – Mike Kraski, President of Tenacity Records. According to Kroll, many songwriters and artists have written and recorded songs that are a fitting and appropriate tribute to the enlisted men and women who serve our country each and every day, but few songs acknowledge the families who are making their own special sacrifices while their loved ones are serving. Below is a video of Kroll talking about the song. Get your copy of “Little Soldiers” at iTunes now.
