Miley Cyrus Snags Recurring Guest Role On Two and A Half Men. It looks like country singer/teen queen Miley Cyrus will be returning to the small screen. Rumor (as in, take this with a grain of salt) has it that she is slated for a recurring guest role on the long-running CBS sitcom, Two and A Half Men. Apparently, the 19 year old, who recently announced her engagement to Liam Hemsworth, will play the love interest for teenage character, Jake Harper. It doesn’t stop there though, there is supposedly a love triangle in the works as Ashton Kutcher’s character harbors a bit of a crush on the young woman. I’m sorry, but that’s just a little creepy. So, kind of hoping that that part isn’t true, but kudos to her if she really landed the role! I wonder if this means noone should be expecting new music from Miley anytime soon. She recently released a video for her Bob Dylan cover, and it seemed she was getting back in touch with her country roots a little. Maybe it was just a quick detour? Pistol Annies Take Over Morning TV! This morning is a big day for the Pistol Annies as they make an appearance on Good Morning America and The View! Miranda Lambert, Lone Star Annie, will perform her latest hit, “Fastest Girl In Town,” in Time Square during GMA. Later all the girls will perform on The View and Lambert will guest co-host! Wonder what kind of trouble these wild women will get into during their stay in The Big Apple?!
Colt Ford Appeared On TruTV’s Hit Series, Lizard Lick Towing. Last night Colt Ford appeared on an all new episode of truTV’s hit series “Lizard Lick Towing.” In the episode, Ron plays a joke on Bobby involving his favorite country star, Colt. Lizard Lick Towing is one of the networks most popular shows and is named after the Shirley’s North Carolina towing and repo company. The series follows the Shirleys as the repossess vehicles and machinery on behalf of lien holders. Ron is the hulking, owner of the company and along with his friend, Bobby, they take on the difficult task of tracking down and repossessing property. Ron’s wife, Amy, who is a former champion power lifter, works in the main office. Catch all new episodes of the show on Mondays at 10/9c.
Country Stars Featured On “Stars and Legends” PBS Special! PBS is airing a special that will feature artists from multiple genres including many top country artists. The special is titled “From Dust to Dreams: Opening Night At The Smith Center For The Performing Arts”, and it will focus on an overview of the careers of multiple artists. The country artists featured include: Martina McBride, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson and EmmyLou Harris. The special will air Friday, September 21st at 9pm, and will be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris in Las Vegas.
Jennifer Nettles Duets Partner Wins In Finale! Jennifer Nettles and her partner, J Rome, on the reality competition series, Duets won in the series finale last Thursday, July 19th! As the show’s winner J Rome will sign a contract with Hollywood Records. I am wondering if Nettles will be involved with any of work? Television Special of Johnny Cash Music Festival Set to Air on Three Networks. The television special, The Johnny Cash Music Festival, that documents the festival of the same name which took place in 2011 is set to air in July on three networks, GAC-TV, PBS and RFD. It is a one hour program that includes segments with John Carter Cash, Roseanne Cash, Kris Kristofferson, George Jones and more. You can catch it July 26th at 7pm(ET) and July 28th at 6pm (ET) on RFD and July 28th at 8pm (ET) and midnight on GAC-TV. If you are hoping to watch via PBS, you will need to check local listings for details! However, if you miss all those air times, there is no reason to fret!
