Lauren Alaina Interview: Country Music Singin’ Newbie Answers 10 Questions for CMNB! Since Lauren Alaina won over the hearts of America and the country music fan base on American Idol, she has been a busy, busy young woman releasing music, touring, performing and making appearances everywhere from the Grand Ole Opry to country music awards shows! Despite being so busy, Lauren took the time to answer ten questions just for CMNB! You can check out the interview below, and also look through our photos from her recent performance at The AMP in Fayetteville, AR! 10 Questions for Lauren Alaina: 1. You’ve had a heck of a year (and more)! What was your favorite moment? There are seriously so many pinch me moments! If I relate this question to touring, I would say when I was on tour with Jason Aldean I got to sing “Dont You Wanna Stay” with him during his set. It was incredible! 2. Your debut album is amazing! What was your favorite part of the recording process? I love the whole vibe of being in the studio. I get to be free and just simply be me. I like to try new things and push myself. It’s always fun to hear back the finished product after you work so hard. 3. Which of your songs do you enjoy performing live the most? My favorite song to do live is probably “Tupelo“. The live version is a lot different than the record. That is probably what is so fun about doing songs live. We worked up some changes and it’s sooo much fun. 4. Since your time of American Idol, a lot has changed. What in your life has stayed the same? My family and friends are still as close to me as they were before, and that’s super important to me. 5. So, you’re obviously a very busy young woman…when you’re not hard at work, what do you like to do for fun? I like to be at home and just enjoy time with friends and family. 6. What are your plans for the future? I strive everyday to be the best person I can be. I take my life day by day. I don’t know exactly what the future holds but I’m completely prepared for it. I am a senior in high school so I am definitely thinking about my academic future. I just have to determine what path will work best for me. 7. Will we be seeing new music from Lauren Alaina in 2013? Definitely. I’m always preparing new music. I can’t wait to share it! 8. Who are your influences/inspirations? My momma. She is the most important person in my life (: 9. From what you’ve seen and experienced so far, what advice would you give to other young women who are aspiring singers/performers? Believe in yourself and keep doing what you love. Trust in your family and God, the rest will fall into place. 10. Lastly, for fun, what are your Continue reading Lauren Alaina Interview

Craig Campbell To Make European Debut

Craig Campbell Joins Martina McBride For A Music Festival In The Swiss Alps. Craig Campbell’s new single “Outta My Head” just hit country radio and now the neo-traditionalist singer is heading across the pond. He will make the trip for back-to-back shows at The Gstaad Festival in Switzerland. While Campbell has previously toured in Australia, this will mark Campbell’s first-ever performance in Europe, where he’ll join Martina McBride for the popular festival in the Swiss Alps. He will take the stage on September 21 and 22 in Gstaad, Switzerland. “Outta My Head” is a high-octane up-tempo track with an evocative lyric that describes the struggle of lost love. Produced by Keith Stegall (Alan Jackson, Zac Brown Band) and Matt Rovey and written by Brandon Kinney, Michael Carter, and Cole Swindell, the mesmerizing track showcases Campbell’s rich, warm baritone and expansive range.

Tim McGraw Truck Yeah-Video

Here Is The Official Music Video For Tim McGraw’s “Truck Yeah.” After giving you a teaser last week, we now have the full length, official music video for Tim McGraw’s “Truck Yeah.” I’m sure you have all heard the song over your radio speakers (in your truck), but the video gives some great visuals. One of those being Garrett Hedlund! McGraw and Hedlund go way back, co-starring in Friday Night Lights and Country Strong, so them in a music video together just seems natural! The video also features lots of TRUCKS and boys being boys in them. At the end a girl shows off her “doughnut” skills and then everyone calls it a day! Watch the video for “Truck Yeah” below and tell us your favorite part. Is it a certain truck? Staring at McGraw? Staring at Hedlund? Let us know!

Alan Jackson At The AMP

Alan Jackson Shows Arkansas Fans A “Good Time.” Last Friday Alan Jackson made a visit to Northwest Arkansas for a highly anticipated performance at the Arkansas Music Pavilion. Though the weather was not perfect, the show was as close as it could be! Jackson opened the show with “Gone Country” and closed it with “Where I Come From.” There was not one moment in between those two songs that let the audience down. It was like each time the band would start a new song, everyone’s face got brighter because they were thinking and mostly screaming “I love this one!” “I Don’t Even Know Your Name,” “Who’s Cheatin’ Who,” “Little Bitty,” and “Don’t Rock the Jukebox” took me back to my younger days. “Livin’ On Love,” “Small Town Southern Man” and “Here In the Real World” made me appreciate that I was there hearing those songs live. “Blues Man” made me want to wave my hands in the air from side to side and “Remember When” had me tearing up. “Summertime Blues” and “Chattahoochee” made me wish the summer wasn’t over. “Where Were You,” which is always an emotional song, had a bigger effect on the crowd that night. Being so close to the anniversary, it seems like yesterday he was performing that song for the first time on the CMA Awards. I really love the fact that all of his success is because he has a gift with music. No gimmicks or special effects. He plays his songs and he plays them well. One thing you won’t see at a Jackson show is fire or smoke. Just him on stage, moving his leg and tapping his guitar! So over all, this was without a doubt, one of the best shows that the AMP has ever put on! Even with the rain, which was bearable, the staff did everything they could to make the show run smoothly. I’m sure there were some ticket holders who decided not to venture out, but the true fans were there for the long haul. I couldn’t start to count the amount of camouflage and coveralls that made it to the show that night! Be sure and pick up Jackson’s latest album,Thirty Miles West, and read our complete review now! BIG THANKS to our friends at the Arkansas Music Pavilion for bringing another great act to the stage! Show ’em a little love, and check them out on Facebook!
