2011 CMA Awards Winners

Complete List of Award Recipients for 45th Annual CMA Awards ! The 2011 45th Annual Country Music Association Awards have come and gone. It was a pretty great night overall. Maybe there was just a little too much sparkle (for example, several sequin blazers from a variety of male performers or Luke Bryan‘s rhinestone studded jeans…), but there were some really strong performances, two great hosts (Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood proved to be a great comedic team…again), and a really amazing tribute to Glen Campbell by Brad Paisley, Vince Gill and Keith Urban. My favorite part might be that both Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton won in their categories (Female and Male vocalist) for the second year in a row! It really has been a great year for them! If you didn’t have the chance to watch it with us live, you can find the complete list of the winners below (to see a complete list of all the nominees, click here). Craig Morgan On Army Wives

Craig Morgan Has Been Very Busy With The Women Of Army Wives and Rizzoli & Isles! Craig Morgan is no stranger to hard work, being a TV host of his own hunting show, a country music singer and family man, but lately he has kicked it up a notch! Late last week he visited the set of Lifetime’s hit series Army Wives. There he filmed a guest appearance for the show’s sixth season. The episode is set to air in early 2012. A 10-year Army veteran, Morgan also took to the football field in Nashville over the weekend to perform the national anthem. This was for the Tennessee Titans vs. Cincinnati Bengals game for the home team’s Veterans Day celebration. Not only that, Morgan joined Rizzoli & Isles (TNT) star Angie Harmon to shoot the music video for his latest single, “This Ole Boy.” Be looking for that in the coming weeks!

Craig Campbell New Song When I Get It

Craig Campbell’s New Single “When I Get It” Released Today! Craig Campbell is excited to release his third single “When I Get It.” The follow up to “Family Man” and “Fish” is a tempo track with light hearted lyrics that describe the relatable financial struggles of the middle class. Produced by Keith Stegall, this song was written by Craig Campbell, Jason Matthews and Jim McCormick. “When I get it, you’ll get it and that’s all you’re getting today.” When I first listened to this song I couldn’t help but have a little smile, because the lyrics are so true. I’m sure this song will hit home to many and become a fan favorite in no time! Joe Nichols’ It’s All Good Album Review

Joe Nichols’ Latest Album Is Classic Country With A Modern Twist! Joe Nichols has his brand new album coming out tomorrow (November 8)! It’s All Good is a fabulous collection of country tunes that I’m certain you are going to enjoy! For those of you who have been concerned with the route country music is taking, complaining that it has become too “pop”, well here is what you have been waiting for! Each track has an element of good-timing classic country with the slightest, yet refreshing touch of modern day flow! My absolute favorite song from this album is “The More I Look“, but I didn’t find one track that I wasn’t fond of! From “She’s Just Like That” to “No truck, No Boat, No Girl” or “How I Wanna Go” to his current single “Take It Off” there is not one part of life that this album doesn’t touch on. Each song in this grouping is perfectly written, with awesome music and a voice that will melt your heart! Joe was kind enough to let fans listen to the entire album this past week for free! There was a portion of the site reserved for comments and not a one had a negative theme! This is definitely a home run and something to be proud of! It’s no surprise, Joe has still got it! Track Listing 1. Take It Off 2. The More I Look 3. Somebody’s Mama 4. It’s All Good 5. This Ole Boy 6. I Can’t Take My Eyes Off You 7. No Truck, No Boat, No Girl 8. Never Gonna Get Enough 9. Corey Smith At George’s Majestic Lounge

Corey Smith Had Fayetteville Rocking Till They Couldn’t Rock Anymore! This past Friday (November 4) Corey Smith was the headlining act at George’s Majestic Lounge in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Average Joe’s artist was a hit as he sang to a sold out crowd! The fans didn’t miss a beat as they sang along, word for word to the outspoken musicians lyrics. “Backroad“, “If I Could Do It Again” and “Maybe Next Year” were just a few songs from his latest album The Broken Road that he belted that night. The opening act was a band by the name of Florida Georgia Line. These guys did an exceptional job of getting the crowd pumped up! I found myself saying over and over “Who are these guys?” They have some great original music and are full of energy! They will be making a few more stops with Smith as he travels down the road doing what he loves! You can find more about them at their website www.floridageorgialine.com The Broken Road Track Listing 1. Intro 2. If I Could Do It Again 3. Carolina 4. I Love Everyone 5. Kip Moore Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck Video

New Video for Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck From Kip Moore! Kip Moore released his second single, “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck” in September, and the video for this sexy playful number is now available! This track is the follow up to Moore’s debut single “Mary Was The Marrying Kind“, and it is a heck of a lot of fun. This new song was inspired by experiences in his teen years with a girl who didn’t quite seem interested until she got an eyeful of Kip driving his daddy’s truck! “I drove the hoopty of all hoopties…We’d had a couple of dates and the girl didn’t seem too excited about me, and then one day that car broke down and I borrowed my dad’s truck. It was like a switch flipped.”-Kip Moore So, clearly there really is somthin’ about a truck! Check out the video below, and see what you think! Watch Kip Moore’s “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck“! Vince Gill And Sting On CMT CROSSROADS

Vince Gill And Sting Set To Be The Stars Of The Latest Episode Of CMT’s CROSSROADS. The two Grammy Award winning musicians (35 between them), Vince Gill and Sting, are the latest duo to take the stage during CMT CROSSROADS! The episode will premiere Thursday, November 24 at 10:00 pm ET/PT on CMT. The performance, taped earlier this year at New York City’s famed Hammerstein Ballroom, resulted in an exceptional night of collaborations and in-depth interviews. The 90 minute premiere features the duo performing Sting’s hits “If I Ever Lose My Faith In You” and “Every Breath You Take” and Gill’s hits “Liza Jane” and “Whenever You Come Around” plus more. The musical chemistry shines between them as they own the stage, especially in their cover of the Everly Brothers “Let It Be Me.” Never-before-seen interviews with the two musicians reveal their reflections on the longevity and success of their careers, thoughts on popular assumptions about the meanings of their songs, how they’ve developed as artists, and ultimately, why they continue to play music. The passion and respect both Sting and Vince possess for their craft has never came across so elegantly on a CMT CROSSROADS stage.
