Randy Travis is surprising fans with the release of a new Christmas song from the vault titled, “There’s a New Kid In Town.” This song, written by Keith Whitley, Curly Putman and Don Cook, will be featured on the upcoming remastered version of his classic Christmas album An Old Time Christmas, due out November 19. Originally released in 1989, the album is certified Gold by the RIAA and is the first Christmas record Travis ever released. In addition to “There’s a New Kid In Town,” fans will receive two additional never-before-heard songs from the vault. CMT has announced its executive team for the 2022 “CMT Music Awards,” set to air on SUNDAY, APRIL 3rd, 2022 at 7p (CT) on CBS and PARAMOUNT+. CMT’s MARGARET COMEAUX, SWITCHED ON ENTERTAINMENT’s JOHN HAMLIN and CMT’s LESLIE FRAM will serve as the executive producers. This marks COMEAUX and HAMLIN’s 14th and FRAM’s 10th year leading the show, which is moving from CMT to CBS for the first time next year.
