Soles 4 Souls is a Nashville-based charity that is putting shoes on those without. To learn more about the charity visit www.soles4souls.org Gilman, along with the other eighteen artists are trying to get 500,000 pairs of shoes to people worldwide. “The Choice” is playing a huge roll in their goal. Jett Williams Will Perform At 33rd Annual Hank Williams Festival In Georgiana, Alabama. Jett Williams will take the stage in honor of her father, for the 33rd Annual Hank Williams Festival in Georgiana, Alabama. The event will take place June 1-2 at the Hank Williams Music Park and will feature free karaoke (May 31), Hank’s boyhood home and museum, arts and crafts, a food court and lots of good country music. Jett Williams will be headlining the mini-Opry on Saturday (June 2) which is the highlight of the outdoor event. It will also feature Moe Bandy, Larry Gatlin and Jeremy Parsons. “I have had the pleasure and the honor to participate in the Georgiana tribute to my dad for decades now. Seeing his boyhood home and hearing that lonesome whistle come down the tracks is like a time travel machine for me. Keith Urban Joins Grand Ole Opry

Keith Urban Invited To Join The Grand Ole Opry During “All For The Hall” Benefit. Grammy, CMA and ACM Award-winner Keith Urban was invited to join the Grand Ole Opry last night by Opry member Vince Gill and fellow members Rascal Flatts, Diamond Rio and Oak Ridge Boys during “All For The Hall” benefit at Bridgestone Arena. New Zealand-born and Australian-raised Urban will be the first artist from outside North America to become an Opry member. Urban will formally be inducted into the Opry on Saturday, April 21 live on the premiere of “NOTEWORTHY at the Opry” on GAC at 8pm Central time. The 16-episode series will feature musical performances and personal stories from the top acts in country music, plus interviews with other celebrities about the artists and music featured in each episode. Near the end of last night’s show, Gill called Rascal Flatts out to the stage to bring a gift for Urban. As he opened a large black duffel bag revealing the Opry’s signature microphone stand, Gill said, “We would like to invite Keith Urban to be the next member of the Grand Ole Opry!” Urban covered his face in surprise and said, “I don’t know what to say – but first, YES! Thank you very much to everyone at the Grand Ole Opry who made this possible. I’m shocked. How beautiful for this to happen tonight of all nights.” “I will always remember the first time I played the Opry. Seeing this stand and standing in the circle was an extraordinary surreal moment. Carter’s Chord’s Music Video For, “Love A Little Bigger,” Will Premiere On Vevo April 16 Show Dog-Universal Music sister group, Charter’s Chord’s (Becky Robertson, Emily Fortney, Joanna Ott) video for “Love A Little Bigger” will premiere world wide on VEVO April 16. The group recently took a trip to the Dominican Republic to shoot the video in conjunction with international humanitarian organization, World Vision. The song, written by Emily, was inspired by a trip the girls took to Guatemala where they experienced first-hand the poverty people in that area were living in. “When we made the trip to Guatemala in 2009, we were struck by the amazing need for love that exists in this world. After returning home, I sat down one afternoon and wrote this song. As artists, our hope for the world is that we all learn to ‘Love A Little Bigger.’” -Emily Fortney The video, shot by award-winning director, Chris Hicky was filmed in areas where World Vision is working to provide education resources, training and assistance to help the local people build better lives and featured some children who are sponsored through the organization. While on the trip, the group was able to meet the child they sponsor in the Dominican Republic, as well as their families. “It was really important for us to shoot a music video for this song because we wanted to show the beauty and vibrancy of these children and their communities. This is a song about hope, perseverance and love.” -Becky Robertson “We want people to feel a sense of joy when they watch this video. Ultimately, we would love to get as many children sponsored as possible and if this video inspires people to get involved with World Vision, then we’ve done our job. Alan Jackson Is Set To Release A New Album June 5. Alan Jackson is set to release his new album, Thirty Miles West, on June 5. This will be his debut album on ACR (Alan’s Country Records)/EMI Records Nashville and is produced by long-time producer and friend, Keith Stegall. Jackson’s current single from the record is “So You Don’t Have To Love Me Anymore.” When asked about the unique title of the album Jackson said, “There’s this highway that has been in existence for forever now – it’s called the Dixie Highway and it runs from north of Michigan all the way down to South Florida, and I wrote a song about it that’s on the album. I grew up on Highway 34 outside of Newnan, Georgia, and that’s where we came up with Thirty Miles West. I think we were about thirty miles west of the official part of the Dixie Highway that runs through Georgia.”

It’s Official, Jake Owen Is Engaged! Jake Owen is now engaged to his girlfriend, Lacey Buchanan! The country singer proposed during a concert at his alma mater in Vero Beach, Florida on Saturday night in front of friends and family. The big question was popped during his performance of “Don’t Think I Can’t Love You.” The “Alone With You” singer did not have a ring at the moment, which leads some to believe that this was a spontaneous event! Spontaneous or not, there is no denying the amount of love the two have for each other! Buchanan has appeared in Owen’s music videos for “8 Second Ride” and “Barefoot Blue Jean Night.” Owen tweeted, “I’m a happy man.
