Reba Talks About Turn Up TheRadio

Weathering the storm of competitive releases and dangerous conditions, Reba’s new hit forecasts success for her upcoming album. When reports came out that Reba McEntire braved near tornado-like conditions to film her new video for “Turn Up The Radio” fans were not surprised at all. The Oklahoma native is no stranger to the storms, and admits that she couldn’t control her love of the new song any more than she could control the weather! “I fell for the song immediately. I love that it’s an up-tempo, strong-woman song about a woman who has been done wrong by her lover and is telling him to turn on the radio if he wants to hear from her through their favorite song. Dann Huff and the musicians did a wonderful job bringing the heart beat out in the song. It definitely gets your attention from the very start.”Country Music Photo Gallery

Introducing Brandon Jackson

Former No Justice member, Brandon Jackson, breaks out on his own. Brandon Jackson has been singing and performing since the age of 5, so it was no surprise when he decided to break out on his own to record an album. Brandon discusses how he came to this decision. “After 5 very successful years with No Justice, I just felt like it was time to explore a solo career in the Red Dirt/Texas Music scene,” Brandon says. “I had a blast with No Justice and wrote and creating some great music with those guys. Being a songwriter, I had a bunch of songs that I thought were really good and just wanted to get them out there. A lot of the songs didn’t really fit the No Justice sound so that, along with just feeling ready to get out on my own, lead me to where I am now. Bottom line it just felt right, and I couldn’t ignore it anymore and let the opportunity pass me by!” Since leaving the band No Justice in 2009 he has been writing and performing his own music at several acoustic shows throughout Oklahoma and Texas. He also has a regular Monday night show at Dirty’s in Stillwater, OK. Brandon will begin recording his album at Reel Time Studio in Denton, TX with Eric Delegard on August 10th. He will be in the studio for 3 weeks to record 12 to 14 songs. The untitled album should be released around the end of 2010. During this time you can still catch Brandon on the road. You can get a full list of his tour dates by visiting his website at www.brandonjacksonmusic.com. Sugarland Discusses Stuck Like Glue

As rumors of the video leak out, Sugarland talks about how Stuck Like Glue came about. Sugarland is enjoying instant success with their quirky new single “Stuck Like Glue” as they plan out a crazy stalker plot for the corresponding video. But of course, what more could you ask for from this entertainingly eccentric duo? When asked about how such a catchy song came about, this is what they had to say: “The song came about in a really fun way,” says Jennifer Nettles. “We were actually in the studio. It’s one of two songs that we wrote while we were in the studio process.” “It all came born out of this really cool beat and this really cool hook,” adds Kristian Bush. “It’s an infectious beat — it almost sticks kind of like glue to you.”Country Music Photo Gallery

Kenny Chesney Discusses The Boys of Fall

Kenny Chesney has a few words to say about his latest song, The Boys of Fall. “I’ve been very lucky to have a lot of songs do well” says Kenny Chesney. “And to have a lot of songs touch a lot of people, but I don’t know if I’ve had a song like ‘Boys of Fall,’ ever. When I first heard this song, I knew that there was gonna be a lot of people that heard the lyrics to this song and really be able, not just to relate to it, but they live with it because there are so many lessons that, in life, that you learn on the football field that are very parallel with what happens in everyday life.” Well, if you’re in a small town like us here at CMNB, then it’s easy to see why Kenny’s newest release touches the heart of so many. In these small towns football is a religion and the boys who play are our pastors. Some of these kids most important, life-defining moments will happen on those 100 yards of green. Kenny, Good job on the song. Now get out and tour with it already!

Brad Paisley – Cartoon Artist

Brad Paisley shows his penchant for cartoons in The New Yorker. The New Yorker magazine takes a poke at Brad Paisley’s sense of humor as they publish some cartoon captions Brad submitted years ago. The magazine often runs caption contests looking for the funniest one-liners to match their equally funny sketches, so it’s no surprise they had a few entries on file from none other than country music’s witty wonder. See the submissions on newyorker.com!

Kenny Chesney – The Boys of Fall Lyrics

The Boys of Fall Lyrics Kenny Chesney When I feel that chill, smell that fresh cut grass/ I’m back in my helmet, cleats and shoulder pads/ Standing in the huddle listening to the call/ Fans going crazy for the boys of fall/ They didn’t let just anybody in that club/ Took every ounce of heart and sweat and blood/ To get to wear those game day jerseys down the hall/ Kings of the school man, we’re the boys of fall/ (Chorus:) Well it’s turn and face the Stars and Stripes/ It’s fighting back them butterflies/ It’s call it in the air, alright yes sir we want the ball/ And it’s knocking heads and talking trash/ It’s slinging mud and dirt and grass/ It’s I got your number, I got your back when your back’s against the wall/ You mess with one man you got us all/ The boys of fall/ In little towns like mine that’s all they got/ Newspaper clippings fill the coffee shops/ The old men will always think they know it all/ Young girls will dream about the boys of fall/ (Chorus:) Well it’s turn and face the Stars and Stripes/ It’s fighting back them butterflies/ It’s call it in the air, alright yes sir we want the ball/ And it’s knocking heads and talking trash/ It’s slinging mud and dirt and grass/ It’s I got your number, I got your back when your back’s against the wall/ You mess with one man you got us all/ http://www.elyricsworld.com/the_boys_of_fall_lyrics_kenny_chesney.html The boys of fall/ (Chorus:) Well it’s turn and face the Stars and Stripes/ It’s fighting back them butterflies/ It’s call it in the air, alright yes sir we want the ball/ And it’s knocking heads and talking trash/ It’s slinging mud and dirt and grass/ It’s I got your number, I got your back when your back’s against the wall/ You mess with one man you got us all/ The boys of fall/ We’re the boys of fall We’re the boys of fall Cheap Football TicketsCountry Music Photo Gallery

What do you think? Too much? Not enough?
