Martina McBride to join Lilith Fair 2010 Martina McBride will join Miranda Lambert, Dixie Chicks, Sugarland, and several others for the 2010 Lilith Fair. Sarah McLachlan created this  female-oriented festival which will make its return in 2010.  The Lilith Fair started in 1997 and ran through 1999. It will feature an array of diverse artists from Kelly Clarkson to The Go-Go’s and will hit a number of cities this summer. Jason Aldean:The Truth

Jason Aldean celebrates with Music Row his latest number 1, “The Truth.” Jason Aldean‘s latest NO. 1 single,” The Truth,” co-written by Ashley Monroe was celebrated on Monday at BMI headquarters in Nashville.  Arriving in his usual checkered shirt, worn-out looking jeans, and a baseball cap Aldean helped celebrate the success of Monroe’s first chart-topper.Jason first heard the demo of “The Truth” in his car, and decided immediately that he wanted to record it. “From day one,” Aldean said, “it was my favorite song on the record.” Monroe began her musical career at Dollywood Theme Park singing five times a week. After recording an album that never got released due to label changes, Monroe decided to focus on her song writing skills. Ree Guyer Buchanan’s publishing company signed Monroe at the age of 17. Monroe thanked her mother and several others for assisting her to getting to this point. “Jason, it still gives me a chill. Sometimes I forget I wrote it, and I just sing along.” Monroe said. Melissa Peterman’s First Comedy Special

Melissa Peterman’s debute stand-up comedy special to air on CMT on March 12th. Melissa Peterman: Am I the Only One? was shot  near Nashville’s Music Row at the historic Belcourt Theatre . This will be a one-hour special where Peterman shares stories about working on the Reba TV series as well as interaction with the audience, and digital shorts. Toby Keith I Love This Bar and Grill: Thackerville

Toby Keith is opening a new “I Love This Bar and Grill” Restaurant today at 3pm. Toby Keith’s new restaurant is located at the WinStar Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma. The entertainment venue will house 16 HDTVs,   two big screens, more than 100 pieces of Toby memorabilia, and will offer live music and dancing. There will also be on display a Toby Keith custom motorcycle and half of the Ford truck that Toby drove in the movie, “Beer For My Horses.” Southern home cooking will be the focus for the menu.Country Music Photo Gallery

Carrie Underwood: Play on Tour

Carrie Underwood’s Play on Tour to begin on March 11th in Reading, Pennsylvania. Carrie Underwood has added several more tour dates in June to her Play on Tour. Craig Morgan and Sons of Sylvia will open the shows. Underwood’s team just wrapped set creation and stage production rehearsal in Mobile, AL this last weekend. Zac Brown Band: Pass the Jar

Zac Brown Band to release live CD/DVD Combo, Pass the Jar, on May 4th. Zac Brown Band fans will be able to get a little taste of the group’s live show just in time for summer. This live DVD/2-CD set was recorded on Southern Ground/Atlantic at The Fox Theatre in Atlanta in October. The DVD will feature 18 performances with several guest appearances including Kid Rock, Little Big Town, and Joey & Rory. Matt Kennon: The Call

Matt Kennon set to release debut EP “The Call” on March 9th. Dierks Bentley, Pam Tillis and Jim Lauderdale to host three weekly radio shows on 650 AM WSM. Three award winning artist will host a series of midday shows on the revered country radio icon 650 AM WSM. The three weekly one-hour shows hosted by Dierks Bentley, Pam Tillis and Jim Lauderdale will air Monday – Wednesday at 2 p.m. CT.  The shows can also be heard online at www.wsmonline.com or as podcasts via iTunes.
