Brad Paisley Resumes Virtual Reality Tour with New Blood! Brad Paisley is getting back into the swing of his 2012 Virtual Reality World Tour, and he’s including three new artists! Up and coming artists Kristen Kelly, Jana Kramer and duo Love and Theft will be featured on a separate stage titled “The Escape” that includes a virtual backdrop of the Grand Ole Opry. Pretty swanky idea, if you ask me, and what a great opportunity for these artists! Their performances will begin at 5pm, and they will be available to sign autographs afterwards. These artists join the tour alongside fellow performers, The Band Perry and Scotty McCreery! It’s good to see that such an influential performer like Paisley isn’t afraid to share the limelight with the up and comers! The next Brad Paisley tour date will be May 18th in Saint Louis, MO. Vince Gill Schedules Bluegrass Shows In Wake of Earl Scruggs Passing. Vince Gillhas lined up twelve performance dates for the start of the summer focusing exclusively on bluegrass from June 13-June 30! According to GAC, the iconic country guitarist and singer mentioned that this line-up of concerts bears special significance in the wake of Earl Scruggs passing on March 28th. After the passing of Earl Scruggs it means the world to me to do these dates with this world-class band playing the music that Earl defined. I absolutely adore this music.” -Vince Gill Gill will be taking care of guitar, mandolin and vocals while banjoist Jim Mills fiddler Stuart Duncan, guitarist Jeff White and bassist Dennis Crouch back him up. Justin Timberlake along with his best friend/WilliamRast business partner Trace Ayala were hanging out backstage in Mississippi last Friday night with country music legend Hank Williams Jr. Williams was in town doing a concert in Southhaven, Mississippi, where Timberlake along with fiancee Jessica Biel, mother Lynn Timberlake, and buddy Ayala all took in a night of some ‘Rockin’ Randal.’ “What a great guy! Justin is a friend of my rebel son Kid Rock. He sure is a good country boy. We talked about girls, guitars, turkey hunting, going on cruises and how much we hate them, even though Bobby (Kid Rock) is on one right now and loving it, ugh! Ricky Skaggs Will Soon Celebrate His 30th Anniversary As A Grand Ole Opry Member! The Grand Ole Opry, presented by Humana, will honor one of the most awarded artists in country and bluegrass music. Ricky Skaggs will celebrate his 30th anniversary as an Opry member during the Tuesday Night Opry, May 15. The 14-time Grammy winner was inducted into the Opry on May 15, 1982. His milestone anniversary will be celebrated by performances by the honoree, fellow Opry members Alison Krauss, Josh Turner and The Whites, plus special guests Daily & Vincent. “Not unlike Ricky’s music, the list of artists lined up to honor him on May 15 is electric and award-winning. It’s going to be a night of great musicianship as we celebrate all that Ricky means to the Opry family.” – Opry Vice President and General Manager, Pete Fisher From Skaggs’ beginnings in bluegrass, he has gone on to put his own stamp on the mainstream country format, resulting in twelve #1 hits, eight Academy of Country Music Awards and eight Country Music Association Awards, including CMA Entertainer of the Year in 1985. Skaggs started his own record label, Skaggs Family Records, in 1997 and has since released 12 consecutive Grammy-nominated albums. His latest project, Country Hits Bluegrass Style, is exactly what its title suggests: Skaggs’ classic country hits offered up in fresh, new bluegrass form. With a career spanning over 50 years in music, he is currently working on an autobiography, has been selected as a 2012 recipient of the ACM Cliffie Stone Pioneer Award and is to be inducted into the Gospel Music Association’s Hall of Fame later this year, all while continuing to record and tour with his band Kentucky Thunder as one of music’s most sought after live performers.

Carrie Underwood finally reveals the details of her upcoming Blown Away 2012 Concert Tour! Superstar Carrie Underwood took to the TV on “Good Morning America” to promote her new album, Blown Away, in stores today, and surprised viewers with the details of her North American “Blown Away” arena tour this fall. The tour will also include a large number of international dates summer sponsored by Olay, including her first-ever United Kingdom concert taking place at the legendary Royal Albert Hall in London on June 21, which sold-out in 90 minutes. Additional international concert dates will be announced soon. The North American tour dates will be presented and hydrated by Carrie Underwood’s longtime sponsor, vitaminwater, in addition to Olay, and promoted by AEG Live. Special guest Hunter Hayes will open. Tickets will be available for “The Blown Away Tour” beginning Friday, May 11. Hank Williams Jr. And Jamey Johnson Perform At The AMP In Fayetteville, Ar. This past Saturday (April 28) Hank Williams Jr. and Jamey Johnson performed at The AMP in Fayetteville, AR. The show was part of the Taking Back The Country tour and made for a perfect start to my 2012 spring/summer concert season! This year the AMP was moved to a larger area and good thing, because these two country music outlaws filled the space with more than excited fans! As always, Johnson killed it! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, he is one talented son-of-a-gun. Each time I see him perform he proves to me that I have good taste! He sings his songs with such ease and confidence, that it makes fans angry when his set list reaches the end. Williams took the stage and proved to everyone (even though he needs to prove nothing) that he’s still got it! Performing all of his classic Bocephus tunes and throwing a few surprises in there, he had the crowd going insane! My favorite part of the night was hearing fans shouting how many times they have seen the “Born To Boogie” star in concert. “This is my sixth time to see him,” a couple people said. Williams has probably got some of the most loyal fans out there, and it is a great thing to see their excitement and passion flow when they speak of him. For those of you who have the tour heading your way (Evansville, Dayton, Bossier City, Wichita, Cheyenne) get yourself a ticket! You are sure to have a great night that you’ll never forget, or maybe you will…depending on what you drink! This show has HaleighT’s stamp of approval with an overall grade of an A+!
