Hank Williams Jr. And Jamey Johnson Perform At The AMP In Fayetteville, Ar. This past Saturday (April 28) Hank Williams Jr. and Jamey Johnson performed at The AMP in Fayetteville, AR. The show was part of the Taking Back The Country tour and made for a perfect start to my 2012 spring/summer concert season! This year the AMP was moved to a larger area and good thing, because these two country music outlaws filled the space with more than excited fans! As always, Johnson killed it! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, he is one talented son-of-a-gun. Each time I see him perform he proves to me that I have good taste! He sings his songs with such ease and confidence, that it makes fans angry when his set list reaches the end. Williams took the stage and proved to everyone (even though he needs to prove nothing) that he’s still got it! Performing all of his classic Bocephus tunes and throwing a few surprises in there, he had the crowd going insane! My favorite part of the night was hearing fans shouting how many times they have seen the “Born To Boogie” star in concert. “This is my sixth time to see him,” a couple people said. Williams has probably got some of the most loyal fans out there, and it is a great thing to see their excitement and passion flow when they speak of him. For those of you who have the tour heading your way (Evansville, Dayton, Bossier City, Wichita, Cheyenne) get yourself a ticket! You are sure to have a great night that you’ll never forget, or maybe you will…depending on what you drink! This show has HaleighT’s stamp of approval with an overall grade of an A+!

Jett Williams Will Perform At 33rd Annual Hank Williams Festival In Georgiana, Alabama. Jett Williams will take the stage in honor of her father, for the 33rd Annual Hank Williams Festival in Georgiana, Alabama. The event will take place June 1-2 at the Hank Williams Music Park and will feature free karaoke (May 31), Hank’s boyhood home and museum, arts and crafts, a food court and lots of good country music. Jett Williams will be headlining the mini-Opry on Saturday (June 2) which is the highlight of the outdoor event. It will also feature Moe Bandy, Larry Gatlin and Jeremy Parsons. “I have had the pleasure and the honor to participate in the Georgiana tribute to my dad for decades now. Seeing his boyhood home and hearing that lonesome whistle come down the tracks is like a time travel machine for me. Keith Urban Joins Grand Ole Opry

Keith Urban Invited To Join The Grand Ole Opry During “All For The Hall” Benefit. Grammy, CMA and ACM Award-winner Keith Urban was invited to join the Grand Ole Opry last night by Opry member Vince Gill and fellow members Rascal Flatts, Diamond Rio and Oak Ridge Boys during “All For The Hall” benefit at Bridgestone Arena. New Zealand-born and Australian-raised Urban will be the first artist from outside North America to become an Opry member. Urban will formally be inducted into the Opry on Saturday, April 21 live on the premiere of “NOTEWORTHY at the Opry” on GAC at 8pm Central time. The 16-episode series will feature musical performances and personal stories from the top acts in country music, plus interviews with other celebrities about the artists and music featured in each episode. Near the end of last night’s show, Gill called Rascal Flatts out to the stage to bring a gift for Urban. As he opened a large black duffel bag revealing the Opry’s signature microphone stand, Gill said, “We would like to invite Keith Urban to be the next member of the Grand Ole Opry!” Urban covered his face in surprise and said, “I don’t know what to say – but first, YES! Thank you very much to everyone at the Grand Ole Opry who made this possible. I’m shocked. How beautiful for this to happen tonight of all nights.” “I will always remember the first time I played the Opry. Seeing this stand and standing in the circle was an extraordinary surreal moment. Rascal Flatts Announce Changed Tour

Rascal Flatts announces the kickoff to their 2012 Tour, aptly named after their new album “Changed” which hits store shelves tomorrow! Rascal Flatts announced today they have re-named their 2012 tour the Farmers Insurance Presents “Changed Tour.” The tour name reflects the title of the band’s upcoming album, Changed, due in stores this Tuesday (4/3). The concert line-up will feature an all band set-up with Little Big Town, Eli Young Band and Edens Edge opening. The trek launches in Hartford, CT, on June 15 at the Comcast Theatre. BamaJam 2012 Performance List Grows with Willie Nelson and Uncle Kracker Added! It looks like BamaJam 2012 is really trying to make-up for last year’s cancelation! Event organizers have added Willie Nelson and Uncle Kracker to the line-up which already includes Alan Jackson, Zac Brown Band, Tim McGraw and Kid Rock. Lady Antebellum Owns The Night With Indiana Highschool

Lady Antebellum Contest Brings Out The Best In Students! In the recent contest organized by Lady Antebellum and their management folks, students across the US were invited to submit videos sharing why Lady A should come “Own The Night” for their school’s prom. The winning school, Henryville High School in Indiana didn’t win on their own, but got a little help from neighboring school SCHS. The SCHS mass media students who submitted the video used their efforts to advocate why Henryville High deserved to win over all others! The Indiana High School area was one of the regions impacted by the March 2nd resulting in wide spread damage and some casualties, and these thoughtful students suggested winning the contest would bring a little happiness into their lives. It really doesn’t take that much to make me tear up, but honestly, this is incredibly thoughtful and really showcases some students willingness to support others over themselves!
