Lady Antebellum on Billboard Cover

Lady Antebellum Featured in Next Issue of Billboard Magazine. With the upcoming release of their third album, Own the Night, quickly approaching (release date is September 13!), we’ve been talking about Lady Antebellum a lot this week! But it turns out, we’re not the only ones who can’t stop thinking about Lady A! The trio is featured in the latest issue of the music industry magazine, Billboard. The feature is titled “Country’s Sexiest Success Story Is Back“, and while I’m not sure if “sexiest” is the most applicable adjective, “success story” is spot on! Since 2006 when Hillary Scott, Dave Haywood and Charles Kelley first formed the group, they have released two successful albums (The second of which sold 3.6 million copies and spawned the immensely popular cross-over hit, “Need You Now“.) and won 5 Grammys! In the article, Lady A sat down in Nashville to discuss the experiences over their career, their success and all that comes along with it! Lauren has really hit the ground running since winning American Idol runner-up for Season 10. Yet, she has been so gracious and remained so humble, despite her quick rise to fame as one of America’s new country darlings, that it is easy to forget just how new she is to this whole experience. Luke Bryan Teams Up With REACH In Recent “Different By Design” Campaign. I was recently contacted about a possible interview opportunity with Luke Bryan. The extremely busy man has many projects going on with his recent touring schedule, upcoming tours, and his new album release. The deal that landed us this interview was a project he has going with REACH. The people at REACH are very passionate about what they do and we are glad to hear it! With many different designs, both style and performance, you are sure to find the exact match for you! We all know the man has one of the best smiles in country music, so to be recognized in a national campaign…well way to go Luke! Below are a few of the questions that were asked, along with his responses. How did you get hooked up with this REACH deal you have going? “REACH PRESENTED AN IDEA ABOUT THE SIMILARITIES IN HOW THE RIGHT TOOTHBRUSH IS LIKE THE RIGHT GUITAR. I RELATED TO THAT.” How is the tour with Tim McGraw going? “WE WRAPPED THE TOUR LAST WEEK AND IT WAS SUCH A BLAST.” Where do you get all your energy that you have on stage? “SCHEDULE DEMANDS ON MY CAREER ARE JUST CRAZY, BUT CRAZY IN A GOOD WAY. IT IS SO MUCH FUN TO PERFORM LIVE.” What are you most ready for your fans to hear on your new album? “THE ALBUM MADE SUCH A HUGE DEBUT, I AM SO HAPPY. THE DAY THE ALBUM WAS IN STORES FANS TWEETED ABOUT THE SONGS THEY LOVED, AND WHY. IT WAS INSTANT FEEDBACK AND I LOVED KNOWING HOW THEY ARE ENJOYING IT AS MUCH AS I HAD HOPED.” Who is someone that you look up to in the industry today? “I WOULD HAVE TO SAY TIM MCGRAW. Josh Kelley Joins Lady Antebellum For The Fall ‘Own The Night 2011 Tour’. Josh Kelley will be joining Lady Antebellum this fall for their Own The Night 2011 Tour! The Grammy Award winning trio and the singer/songwriter will kick things off in Knoxville, TN on November 11. I’m sure this tour will be full of excitement and fun, with a few pranks thrown in there between the brothers! “I can’t wait to get on the road with Lady Antebellum. They put on a high-energy show and I’ve gotten to see them perform a few times this summer when we’ve played at the same fairs and festivals. I know their fans like to have a good time and I’m ready to get them fired up! Taylor Swift is all the rage at this year’s Teen Choice Awards as she nabs the night’s top honors in five different categories. Choice Music: Female Artist Choice Music: Female Country Artist Choice Break-Up Song (For “Back to December“) Choice Music: Country Single (for “Mean“) Her fifth and final award for the night was the highly coveted Ultimate Choice Award. She received the highest TCAs honor for her extraordinary contributions to the entertainment industry. “I’m so happy,” she gushed during one of her acceptance speeches. “This is the first time that I’ve ever been to the Teen Choice Awards and this is amazing. After a long lockout of negotiations and speculations, NFL teams are back in business and the box offices are raking it in! This weekend football fans all across the country are clamoring the box office nearest them to get the best seats in the house for their favorite NFL Teams, the whole while I am sitting at home scratching my head. How did we get to the place where a backyard sport entitled a person to months of lockout negotiations and mega-million dollar deals over tossing a ball? I understand that a few years of this game is all they’re going to have to support themselves and their families for the rest of their lives, but how many millions does one man need? Americana rock and roller, John Cougar Mellencamp, proves touring is not just a young man’s game. John Cougar Mellencamp is showing the industry kids a thing or two about hard work as he barrels through city after city on his “No Better Than” tour this fall. Now sure, he’s not exactly country, but the country and rock genres have overlapped so much that you could almost hear his hits “Jack and Diane” and “Hurts So Good” on your local country stations couldn’t you? Anyhow, those are just my thoughts.
