Tune In To ABC Tonight for CMA Fest: Country’s Night to Rock! Its that time of year again! The summer is over, and with it the country music festival scene is winding down for the season. BUT, that doesn’t mean we can’t take an evening to look back at the awesome times we had during those warm summer nights! Tonight, the Country Music Association will air its annual recap of the 2012 CMA Fest (previously Fan Fair) in their network broadcast, CMA Fest: Country’s Night to Rock. Martina McBride Adds 16 Holiday Concert Dates to Tour! We country music fans all love ourselves a little Martin McBride, right? So, its always great to hear that we’re gonna get an extra chance to see her perform live! The country music star announced that she is adding 16 NEW dates to her touring schedule…all just for the holiday season. Through the Fall months, McBride will continue her already-in-full-swing One Night tour, and she will kick off her Joy of Christmas tour dates on November, 23rd in Atlanta, GA! Kelly Clarkson Embraces Her Inner-Country and Moves to Nashville! In an exclusive interview with The Tennesseean, pop star and American Idol alumn, Kelly Clarkson shared the low-down on her recent move to Nashville, TN, and its got us hoping that Clarkson will be releasing some country music soon! Now, we’ve all been thinking and drawing all kinds of conclusions as of late, and we country music fans kind of want Clarkson to just transition right on over to country music…for real. She has her amazing duet with Jason Aldean under her belt, she just earned a CMA nomination, and she’s practically a member of country music royalty (currently dating Reba McEntire’s stepson, Brandon Blackstock). So, clearly all roads point to a country music career, right? Kelly herself admits that life seems to be taking her that way, telling The Tennessean the following, “…I think it’s just because, I don’t know, I do love pop music, but I think I have more of a Southern mentality. Keith Urban Officially New American Idol Judge! After a whole lot of speculating and wondering on the part of the country music fan base, Keith Urban has officially announced that he will be joining the American Idol judges panel as the fourth judge! This announcement comes after Urban left his current gig on The Australian version of The Voice, and he shared the good news with his fans via Facebook and Twitter! Casey James Has Long Hair to Support Non-Profit Locks of Love! We all love Casey James‘ long curly rockstar hair, right? Well, he doesn’t keep that style because he’s trying to be fashionable! The country music singer recently shared that he is a supporter of the non-profit organization Locks of Love, and that he originally grew his hair out so that he could donate to the cause. He was inspired to get involved having witnessed close family members dealing with cancer. “My family has been really affected by cancer. My Nana died of cancer, my Pawpaw passed away May 11th of last year of cancer. My Mom is a two-time cancer survivor, breast and thyroid. That’s just some of it; there are a lot of instances in my family,”- Casey James James is scheduled to appear of the syndicated television show Better on Tuesday, September 18th. So, all you James fans better get your DVR ready because he will be performing his current single “Cryin’ On A Suitcase“.
