Blake Shelton To Host NRA Country/ACM Celebrity Shoot

Blake Shelton Is Set To Host The Second Annual NRA Country/ACM Celebrity Shoot! NRA Country and the Academy of Country Music announced that the Second Annual NRA Country/ACM Celebrity Shoot will take place on Saturday, March 31. ACM Entertainer of the Year nominee, Blake Shelton, will host the event, as well as co-host the Awards the following Sunday with Reba. The shoot will be part of The Week Vegas Goes Country, the week that leads up the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. The NRA Country/ACM Celebrity Shoot, presented by SoundGear by LaPierre, is a two course, 10 station, 40 target sporting clay competition for 20 teams of five shooters, including a celebrity captain. The event, emceed by Storme Warren, will take place at the Desert Hills Shooting Club. Celebrity participants include Lee Brice, Craig Campbell, Cowboy Troy, Ira Dean, Edens Edge, Craig Morgan, Jake Owen, Thomas Rhett, Outdoor Channel’s Lee & Tiffany Lakosky and Nick Mundt, TNA Impact Wrestling stars Jeff Hardy and James Storm and more! The Second Annual NRA Country/ACM Celebrity Shoot will support the Wounded Warrior Project, the Folds of Honor Foundation and the Nellis Air Force Base Youth Programs. “The Academy is thrilled to continue this partnership with Blake and NRA Country. During the video she plays out a sweet, good girl personality and a tough, kind of bad girl personality. This is the perfect song to rock to for any girl! Whether you are the one telling a friend to get over some jerk, or if you are the one who needs to get the message to stick…you are going to love this song! Participating in the joke with a million punch lines, this real life married couple has produced a hilarious video, “Sh*t Thompson Square Says“, to capture your attention in the run-up to the ACM Awards! I’m not going to give anything away, but let’s just say this vid clearly has a higher production value than most of the “Sh*t ___ Say” videos, and it made me laugh out loud, really. ACM Awards 2012 Performers

2012 ACM Awards Announce First Round of Performers. It’s just under a month until the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, and the first round of performances have been announced! I don’t think country music fans will be disappointed with who is on the list so far! The performances will include Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Eric Church, Luke Bryan and Toby Keith. The ACM Awards will broadcast live out of Las Vegas on CBS at 8pm on Sunday, April 1st. Blake Shelton and Reba McEntire will host, and you can’t check out the complete set of nominations here. UPDATE 3/16/12: New Performers Announced! In addition to the round of performers listed above, it has been confirmed that the list now also includes: Blake Shelton, The Band Perry, Chris Young, Lady Antebellum and Rascal Flatts!

Jennifer Nettles Helps ABC Find Talent On New Reality Show, Duets. Jennifer Nettles will be helping find talent on new reality TV show Duets this summer on ABC. Nettles will be joining a panel of judges that includes Lionel Richie, Kelly Clarkson and Robin Thicke. This particular show is kind of a mash-up of some of the already existing shows like “Can You Duet” on CMT and “The Voice” on NBC. The first portion of the series will follow the judges as they trek across the U.S. to find hidden talent. Then each of the celebrity judges will choose two singers to perform duets with, and they will sing in front of a live studio audience. The winner at the end of the summer season will win a recording contract with Hollywood Records. Will you watch?
