Cross Canadian Ragweed’s Box of Weed

Cross Canadian Ragweed Release Box Set, Box of Weed! Red dirt pioneers and Texas rockers, Cross Canadian Ragweed, have announced the release of their first ever box set humorously titled, Box of Weed. The band celebrated their 15th anniversary in 2010, and shortly after announced they would be taking a break with no definite intentions of getting back together. This box set, which features five CDs (Cross Canadian Ragweed (also known as the ‘purple’ album), Soul Gravy, Garage, Mission California and Happiness And All The Other Things) and a DVD of the group’s live performance at Tulsa’s Cain’s Ballroom (Back To Tulsa: Live And Loud At Cain’s Ballroom) will offer a little something to those fans who were sorry to see them disband. The box set is available as of Tuesday, November 15th.

New Video for Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck From Kip Moore! Kip Moore released his second single, “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck” in September, and the video for this sexy playful number is now available! This track is the follow up to Moore’s debut single “Mary Was The Marrying Kind“, and it is a heck of a lot of fun. This new song was inspired by experiences in his teen years with a girl who didn’t quite seem interested until she got an eyeful of Kip driving his daddy’s truck! “I drove the hoopty of all hoopties…We’d had a couple of dates and the girl didn’t seem too excited about me, and then one day that car broke down and I borrowed my dad’s truck. The Marshall Tucker Band has been around and rocking since the 70s, when their was no such things as CDs and digital retailers. Then, MTB along with every other musical act on the planet, depended on vinyl records to get their music in the fans hands. On November 22, in celebration of 40 years, the vinyl edition of The Marshall Tucker Band: Greatest Hits will be released! “As we continue to tour, more and more fans are showing up in the autograph lines with their original Marshall Tucker vinyl records, even more so than CDs. Willie Nelson Will Release A Collection of Country Hits. Willie Nelson has announced the release of a new album, Remember Me: Volume 1 featuring a collection of country hits spanning a 70 year range. The album is set to release on Monday, November 21st, and Volume 2 is expected to be available sometime in 2012. Willie will be performing some of the best country songs by some of the best country artists including Merle Haggard, George Jones, Ernest Tubb, Rosemary Clooney, Johnny Cash and others. Scotty McCreery Trouble With Girls Video

Scotty McCreery Releases Second Official Music Video of His Career. Scotty McCreery has released the video for the second single off of his debut album, Clear As Day. The song is titled “The Trouble With Girls“, and it is a slower paced track that will no doubt strike a chord with Scotty’s female fans. I mentioned in my review of Scotty’s album (which you can check out by clicking here), that one thing I really appreciate about the song selection is that Scotty is not trying to pretend he is anything other than a (now) 18 year old guy who can sing. This continues to be reflected in this particular music video. It takes place in what appears to be an average highscool with average kids. There is plenty of slow motion and idealized depictions of what highschool is like, but it achieves its goal in showcasing the kind of girl crazy mentality most teenage boys experience. It is a simple video which I think is also appropriate for Scotty’s music at this point. You can watch it below, and let us know what you think!
