ENCINO, CA-based PITMAN CASTING is seeking contestants for a new CBS series, “SUPERFAN,” specifically “die-hard fans” of music artists including SHANIA TWAIN, KELSEA BALLERINI, LITTLE BIG TOWN and PITBULL. In each episode of the fan competition series, a famous music artist or band “will compete alongside a group of their biggest fans in a series of fun games to see who is the true #1 fan. That fan will win an ultimate fan prize package,” according to PR materials for the show. Additional participating artists will be announced soon.

Artist and Fan Outpouring of Support May Have Saved Ernest Tubb Record Shop in Nashville

*Update* As of Feb 2nd, 2023 it is reported that the new owners of the building WILL BE KEEPING THE SHOP OPEN following renovations. The first floor of the building will have it’s street-facing storefront restored and remain a record shop, while the upper floors will become home to additional businesses. This follows a heartfelt outpouring of fan and artist support, that included a change.org petition with over 20,000 signatures!

Walker Hayes is no stranger to TikTok fame – his single, “Fancy Like” went viral when he and his teenage daughter posted their own dance for it. The adorable video has been viewed over 34.9M times and appeared in a national ad campaign for Applebees. The single has made a splash on music charts, spending a collective 6 months and counting at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Country Songs Chart and hitting the top 5 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Songs. “Fancy Like” is now certified RIAA 2X Platinum and has given Hayes his first GRAMMY Award nomination as an artist for Best Country Song.

The Rocky Mountain Country Music Awards hosted their seventh annual ceremony at the Union Colony Civic Center in Greeley over the weekend. Scooter Brown took home the coveted Hadley Barrett Person of Year Award which is presented to a person from the Rocky Mountain country music scene that has done incredible things for their community.  Scooter is a combat veteran who works with several organizations that help other veterans and families and was ultimately chosen for this award for the work he does for vets and beyond.
