Hunter Hayes “Wanted” Video

Hunter Hayes’ New Video Is As Sweet As The Song.” Hunter Hayes‘ recent single “Wanted” from his 2011 self-titled album release is a very sweet and honest song, and now it has an equally lovely video to go along with it. I am pretty sure that country girls everywhere are swooning over this talented young singer, and after they see this video, they may need a friend to scape them off the floor after feinting from adorable-cute-boy-overload. Besides his swoon-worthiness, Hayes has a really authentic sound and a very accessible quality. In his music, it really seems like he is putting it all out there (risky for seasoned industry veterans and even more so for the newbies), and I think this vulnerability will help him get and keep a loyal fan base! Check out the video below and see what you think! Hunter Hayes, “Wanted” Get More: Wanted, Hunter Hayes, Hunter Hayes Videos

Eric Church First Number 1 Hit

“Drink In My Hand” Becomes Eric Church’s First #1 Single! As many of you know, I have been an Eric Church fan for many years! This appreciation I have for his songwriting capabilities and his musical talents have been here long before I was ever an assignment journalist here at CMNB. I fell in love with his sound several years back… The first time I saw him live was 2006, it was a HOT, summer day at a country music festival. I really like what I heard and I loved the craziness he was displaying on stage. Now let me clarify, he wasn’t crazy, the amount of energy he had was crazy and in a good way! I purchased his album Sinners Like Me a short while later and knew every single word in, give or take, two days! I waited and waited for some new material from Church and in 2009 Carolina hit store shelves! Let me tell you, it was worth the wait! I blasted that in my car day after day! Until about a month ago, it was the constant CD in my CD player. My friend Melissa joked, “Where did Eric go?” one day when we were driving…”Oh it’s in the DVD player in the house, I was listening to it while I got ready.” If you listen to something for two years solid and don’t get tired of it…well I’d call that good music! Chief was released in the summer of 2011 and became Church’s first #1 album. “Homeboy” was the first single released and next was “Drink In My Hand,” which became his first #1 single. I was so happy for Eric, but at the same time I became a little aggravated. “Drink In My Hand” is a great song that obviously hit home with tons of people and I’m happy about that, but this is Church’s THIRD album. I believe there have been tons and tons of his previous songs that should have been #1s! I have seen this guy perform countless times (12+), big stages, small stages, headlining or opening, it doesn’t matter. He puts just as much power and passion into every single one of his shows! The songs he writes…well, it’s like he took stories out of my past, wrote them out and added music! I believe it’s like that for a lot of people, very relatable. He doesn’t talk about things he doesn’t know, he talks about life, the way he lives it and that is something I respect! I am by no means saying that he is the best thing alive and all of the other country artists are crappy and fake. I’m just saying give credit where credit is due! Eric Church is a damn-good musician and one hell of a songwriter! Congratulations to him on this first #1! I know that there will be more to come…it looks like “Springsteen” will soon be his second!

Aaron Lewis Solo Album The Road

Aaron Lewis’ Solo Album The Road And His New Single, “Endless Summer” Music Video! Aaron Lewis is set to release his much anticipated, full length album June 26. The Road includes 10 new songs and was produced by Lewis and James Stroud. Lewis had originally planned to record 5 new songs to be paired with his EP Town Line, but after recording in the studio, more song ideas began to unfold. Lewis wrote all of the songs on this upcoming album except “Grandaddy’s Gun,” which was penned by hit Nashville songwriters Dallas Davidson, Rhett Akins and Bobby Pinson. This marks the first time Lewis has ever recorded another artist’s song for an album! He heard the song on a hunting trip with Stroud and Akins and identified with the lyrics so much that he asked Akins permission to cut it. For those of you who would like a preview of Lewis’ new album CLICK HERE. Lewis wants his fans to have an early taste of what is to come and is offering “Red, White & Blue” for free download! Blake Shelton’s Drink On It

The Story Behind Blake Shelton’s Latest Single “Drink On It!” I don’t know about everyone else, but I have been in love with Blake Shelton’s “Drink On It” ever since Red River Blue came out last summer! The song is great and like nothing else that is on the radio right now. We at CMNB can’t wait for the video to come out, but until then we thought you might like to know a little more about the song from Blake himself! Here is a clip where Blake talks about how he got his hands on this little ditty!

Shania Twain and Lionel Richie Endless Love Video

Shania Twain Teams Up with Lionel Richie For Endless Love. As I am sure you are aware, Lionel Richie has released a country duets album titled Tuskegee, so named after his hometown in Alabama. After decades of singing and producing in other genres, this industry veteran has apparently decided to take a walk on the country side of things. Whoever is in charge of marketing this puppy has been pushing it hard (remember when Richie got a whole set during the CMA Awards?), but the album just released March 18th, so its a bit early to say whether or not all the pushing has been successful. The album features a parade of duets with some of country’s past and current biggest stars from Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers and Jimmy Buffet to Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw and Jason Aldean. He also covers the classic “Endless Love” with Shania Twain, and the video for this particular tune just released. It is…well, dramatic and also a bit silly featuring a horse…the beach…a black and white kind of motif and even some slow motion. I am honestly not trying to be mean, but I really did laugh out loud when Lionel leaves the house and runs to the beach where Shania is galloping up on a horse (from the ocean?). Although, Shania is one of the queens of 90’s country, so maybe its an homage to the era…the vibe is definitely there. I’m really just not sold on the whole Lionel-Richie-Is-Going-Country thing. I might be alone in this though because from what I’ve read listeners seem to be responding positively. What do you think? Shania Twain Sings “Endless Love” with Lionel Richie.
