Because if you are on Twitter then you can to be privy to great conversations between stars like Miranda Lambert and LeAnn Rimes! On Thursday, March 15th the two country all-stars tweeted back and forth and eventually came up with the (brilliant!) idea of teaming up to co-write a song together! Yonder Mountain String Band Hits The Road for Spring 2012 Tour Dates! Yonder Mountain String Band just wrapped their tour kick-off for 2012, Cabin Fever Tour during which they played to sold-out show after sold-out show. After a quick respite these guys are hittin’ the road yet again for their Spring 2012 Tour! They’ll be making stops all over the place from the Midwest to the Deep South to California (complete info below!) You can also catch them on the festival circuit through the Fall including spots at Delfest (May 25), Hookahville (May 26), Summercamp (May 27), Telluride Bluegrass Festival (June 23), Bloom Heavy River Romp (June 29 – 30), 11th Annual Northwest String Summit (August 9 – 12), and Harvest Music Festival (October 11 – 13). Look, for those who haven’t experienced this group perform, just know I have friends that are willing to lose sleep and travel long distances to check out this band (YMSB fans…this is not news to you). Scotty McCreery‘s marketing…management…whatever team has come up with a really cool idea to give fans a chance to interact with the ACM New Artist nominee, and simultaneously get the guy the most votes! All you need is a ball…a marker…a video camera of some sort…the internet…a computer…okay, wow, that’s kind of a lot. But if you get a bunch of folks together, I’m sure you can work it out! Follow the directions below, and you can help Scotty out. Your video has a shot at being featuring on all of Scotty’s social media outlets including YouTube, Twitter and Facebook. Jason Aldean New Video of “Fly Over States”. Jason Aldean is giving fans a new video! This time it’s for the his latest single “Fly Over States“. It’s an interesting tune that features a perspective on small town American from the POV of two average guys that probably just haven’t ever driven down those ole’ dirt roads. It’s a much slower and reflective song than some of the other singles on his 2011 CMA Album of the Year Award winning My Kinda Party, and I like it because its a lot subtler than the usual city folk vs country folk lyrics we get sometimes. Can I also say, that I could listen to Aldean saying “Oklahoma” all day long…there’s just something about it! This video shares a director, Wes Edwards, with Jason’s ACM Video of the Year nominated “Tattoos On This Town” video, and I think you’ll see the similarities! Blake Shelton To Host NRA Country/ACM Celebrity Shoot

Blake Shelton Is Set To Host The Second Annual NRA Country/ACM Celebrity Shoot! NRA Country and the Academy of Country Music announced that the Second Annual NRA Country/ACM Celebrity Shoot will take place on Saturday, March 31. ACM Entertainer of the Year nominee, Blake Shelton, will host the event, as well as co-host the Awards the following Sunday with Reba. The shoot will be part of The Week Vegas Goes Country, the week that leads up the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. The NRA Country/ACM Celebrity Shoot, presented by SoundGear by LaPierre, is a two course, 10 station, 40 target sporting clay competition for 20 teams of five shooters, including a celebrity captain. The event, emceed by Storme Warren, will take place at the Desert Hills Shooting Club. Celebrity participants include Lee Brice, Craig Campbell, Cowboy Troy, Ira Dean, Edens Edge, Craig Morgan, Jake Owen, Thomas Rhett, Outdoor Channel’s Lee & Tiffany Lakosky and Nick Mundt, TNA Impact Wrestling stars Jeff Hardy and James Storm and more!
