Merle Haggard Has Been Hospitalized In Georgia For Pneumonia. Merle Haggard was hospitalized Tuesday evening in Georgia. Haggard was scheduled for a show that night, but finally took some advice and went to the hospital. Good thing! The Silver Wings singer was admitted for pneumonia and is currently in the hospital eager to get better. Haggard had some shows left this month, but with the circumstances those will be canceled. He is set to be back on the road in February, but I know I speak for many when I say GET WELL SOON!!!!!!!! The fans aren’t going anywhere and would rather Haggard be healthy!

Mr. Shelton’s health had been an issue for the past year and he was hospitalized in early December with pneumonia. Lambert has changed the dates to three upcoming shows, Charlotte, NC (1/19), Lexington, KY (1/20) and Greensboro, NC (1/21). “Thank you to the fans for all the support and prayers. Blake Shelton’s Father, Dick Shelton, Has Passed Away. Blake Shelton‘s father, Dick Shelton, passed away last night (Tuesday) in Oklahoma. Mr. Shelton had been having some troubles with his health for the past year and was hospitalized early December for pneumonia. Blake made a special acceptance speech on the night of the American Country Awards, mentioning his father back home. “I appreciate your understanding during this difficult time and thank you for all your prayers. Your support means the world to me. I love you guys.” -Blake Blake left this message on his website along with the news of some show postponements. Josh Kelley Releases The Music Video For Naleigh Moon! Josh Kelley has released the very sweet video for “Naleigh Moon!” Naleigh is the daughter of Kelley and actress Katherine Heigl. The video features home footage of the couple with their adopted three year old. The song “Naleigh Moon” appears on Kelley’s 2011 acclaimed album, Georgia Clay, and was go-written with Georgia Clay producer Clint Lagerberg. “I knew you [Heigl] were going to do a great job and you’re an awesome story teller. Also, I knew you would do it for free.” -Kelley says to Heigl at their home The video was shot in Los Angeles and includes home footage of Naleigh over the past couple of years. When asked about the first reactions to the video, Josh replies, “People loved it. My manager showed it to the record label. The CEO from the record label called me and said, ‘We just played the video for the whole label and over half the people were crying.’” Josh has been on the road extensively in support of Georgia Clay with opening slots for Taylor Swift, Eric Church and Miranda Lambert. John Rich Receives Special Honor from St. Jude. In a special Country Cares for St. Jude Kids seminar in Memphis,TN John Rich was awarded the first ever Randy Owen Angels Among Us Award. The award honors Rich’s commitment and dedication to St. Jude and children who are battling cancer and other deadly diseases at the Hospital. “St. Jude holds a very special place in my heart. It’s like no other place and I’m just so honored to help raise awareness for this organization.” -John Rich Country Cares was started by Randy Owen in 1989, and since that time it has raised over $400 million. Kudos to John Rich and St. Jude for bringing awareness and aid to these kids and their needs.
