The Band Perry All Your Life Video

The Band Perry Releases Video for All Your Life. The Band Perry, brothers Neil and Reid and sister Kimberly, have released their video for “All Your Life” off of their gold-certified album, The Band Perry. The song is a little less haunting than “If I Die Young“, but still maintains that TBP edge which seems to harness a vibe with one foot in our modern world and the other in a world of the past. The video features a storyline of vaudeville-esque characters which adds a whimsical element to an otherwise serious tone. The release of the video comes on the heels of The Band Perry’s announcement of their first tour, Purveyors of Performance which kicked off August 15th! Check out the video here! Yonder Mountain Hosts Harvest Music Festival

Bluegrass Quartet Yonder Mountain Hosts 6th Annual Harvest Music Festival. Summer is winding to a close, school is starting back up, and the worst of the heat (fingers crossed!) has passed! While one of the best things about summertime is live music and the fact that we can count on our favorite artists to be on tour, there are also plenty of music events packed into the Fall season as well (and cooler weather to boot!). One such event to look forward to is the 6th Annual Harvest Music Festival hosted this year by the bluegrass quartet Yonder Mountain String Band at Mulberry Mountain in Ozark, Arkansas Thursday, October 13th through Sunday, October 16th. The Harvest Music Festival is a family friendly event with a four day line-up of live music in addition to other events and access to hiking, biking, fishing, river-rafting and disc golf. The contest will include four instrument categories: Mandolin, Banjo, Flat Picking Guitar, and Fiddle, and contests will be held on October 13, 14, and 15. Conscious Alliance (a Boulder, CO-based national non-profit organization committed to the distribution of much-needed food to impoverished communities across the United States) will be spear-heading the “Art That Feeds” Food Drive which will benefit the River Valley Regional Food Bank in Fort Smith, AR, and all donations will be distributed to those displaced in the region by the devastating tornadoes in Spring 2011. The Band Perry Announce Tour

The Band Perry Launch Purveyors of Performance Tour. The Band Perry has announced they will be launching their own tour, Purveyors of Performance. The tour will include their own headlining performances in addition to support performances for Keith Urban, Reba McEntire and one other artist who has yet to be announced. The tour will kick-off August 15th in Lewisburg, West Virginia, will cover approximately 75 shows all over the country, and will conclude in Tupelo, Mississippi on November 19th. “It has always been our dream to play Country music. We’ve been on the road as a family band for thirteen years and experienced the intimacy of theaters, the energy of county fairs and the joy of connecting with new faces as we support these amazing artists at arenas and amphitheaters. Artists like Tim McGraw, Keith Urban and Reba were the ones who originally inspired us to dream big…now they have helped our dreams come true. We couldn’t be more grateful to them or excited about the future.” -The Band Perry The group is currently finishing up with Tim McGraw‘s Emotional Traffic tour before they embark on Purveyors of Performance. Jamey Johnson Performs at Farm Aid 2011

Jamey Johnson Joins Willie Nelson and Others at 2011 Farm Aid Performances. Even though Jamey Johnson is currently on tour and simultaneously recording a new album, he is still taking the time to perform at the Farm Aid 2011 Saturday, August 13th at the Livestrong Sporting Park in Kansas City. Johnson is joining a line-up of performers which includes Willie Nelson among others. Farm Aid is a long running benefit concert founded to support American family farmers. The benefit has managed to raise over $39 million to aid family farmers all over the country and help them thrive. The mission of Farm Aid has a special meaning to Jamey as he grew up on a family farm in Alabama. “When I was a kid, we had a little bit of land and just about every bit of it was farm…I can’t even name for you everything that we grew from this land. But the fact that we couldn’t make enough money to sustain it meant that we had to eventually move off of it and let it go to someone else.” -Jamey Johnson Especially considering the current climate in the nation from government to the economy, support systems like Farm Aid are little beacons of hope for American farmers. By focusing on family farmers, Farm Aid helps to promote American grown food which fills plates in American homes for American citizens. “Farm Aid is not just important to me, it’s important to anybody who eats. Farm Aid is set up to look after the family farmer, the ones that actually take part in the same crops that they produce for other people. They are not just growing food to send down the line; their family eats the same foods that they sell.” -Jamey Johnson Beyond taking the time to help support American farmers, Jamey Johnson has a lot going on. He recently finished up touring on Willie Nelson’s Country Throwdown, and is now traveling all over the country on his own tour. He will be performing at the 5th Annual ACM Honors in Nashville on September 19th (which will also be in part a tribute to his good friend, singer/songwriter Hank Cochran, who passed away in 2010.). Somewhere in the middle of all this, Johnson is also finding time to complete his next album.

Luke Bryan Performs Country Girl

Luke Bryan Promotes Album Release with TV Performances of Hit Single. As you are no doubt aware by now, Luke Bryan released his new album, Tailgates & Tanlines, Tuesday, August 9th (You can check out HaleighT’s full review by clicking here), and in between performing on Tim McGraw‘s Emotional Traffic tour, Luke has been out and about promoting his new release with TV performances! I have yet to be lucky enough to see Luke perform live and in person (Unlike HaleighT who caught him on the Emotion Traffic tour stop in OKC! Read her full account here!), but fortunately, for now, Luke’s television performances will suffice. This week he was featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live performing his hit Country Girl (Shake It For Me) (see the video below!), and he also stopped by and performed the single on the Today Show. I caught the performance of Luke featured on Jimmy Kimmel, and I have to say I am impressed. I was already sold on Luke because of his obvious talent and penchant for catchy, clever songs (Rain Is a Good Thing, Country Girl (Shake It For Me)) and softer, more emotional tunes (Do I, Someone Else Calling You Baby). However, there are artists who can produce quality work and stellar albums, and there are artists that can perform live. I am happy to report that Luke Bryan qualifies in both categories. It is obvious that when he is on that stage, he is really giving it his all and doing everything he can to make it a great show for his fans. It also doesn’t hurt that the man knows how groove. Scotty McCreery I Love You This Big Video

Scotty McCreery Premiers Debut Music Video August 9th. Season 10 American Idol winner, Scotty McCreery is set to release the debut video for his first single, “I Love You This Big“. Like fellow American Idol alum Lauren Alaina, Scotty will be featured on CMT Premieres: Scotty McCreery I Love You This Big. Unlike, Lauren though, Scotty will be premiering his video during this segment, Tuesday, August 9th, the day after Alaina’s release date. The video was shot in Los Angeles, but McCreery and the crew worked hard to find a spot that had the right kind of country vibe. Watch Scotty McCreery in “I Love You This Big” now! “The location for the shoot was really cool. If you looked one way, you could see Dodger Stadium, and if you looked another way, you could see downtown L.A. We found this park that had a little country feel to it … If I hadn’t told you that, you would think we would have shot that in North Carolina. The music video has a summertime barbecue feel.” -Scotty McCreery Scotty will be performing on ABC‘s Good Morning America on August 12th. Also, you can catch him on the special television concert event, CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock on Sunday, August 14th on ABC. Scotty will be singing with Josh Turner. McCreery is still working on his debut album, but a release date has yet to be announced.

Lauren Alaina Like My Mother Does Video

Lauren Alaina Premiers First Video On August 8! Lauren Alaina has been a very busy girl! After winning the runner-up spot on American Idol in the Spring she immediately jumped into a whole host of guest appearances and performances from the CMA Music Festival to the CMT Music Awards. On top of all that, she has most recently been on tour with American Idol Live, along with other American Idol alums from the past season. Somehow, in the midst of all this activity, the young Lauren has managed to film a music video for her debut single, “Like My Mother Does” which originally premiered on American Idol and has received a substantial amount of positive responses from fans and the industry alike. Like the title of the single suggests, the video plays homage to Alaina’s mother and Alaina’s childhood. See Lauren in “Like My Mother Does” now! This will air on CMT, CMT Pure, and CMT.com on Monday, August 8 at 10:30 am. Fans can also catch the video release on GAC on August 8 at 6:24 am (ET), 8:24am (ET), 12:30pm (ET), 2:30pm (ET), 6pm (ET) and 11:30pm (ET). Lauren is currently working on her debut album, which does not have a release date yet. Luke Bryan CMT On Tour Dates

Dates Announced for 2011 CMT On Tour Headlined By Luke Bryan. Earlier this summer it was announced Luke Bryan would be headlining the 2011 CMT On Tour, and the dates for this special concert series have finally been announced! The tour kicks off September 15th in Huntington, West Virginia at Big Sandy Superstore Arena, will include a grand total of 22 shows, and will run through November 19th in Monroe, Louisiana. Bryan will be joined on tour by Lee Brice, Josh Thompson, and CMT’s Next Superstar winner Matt Mason. This year will mark the 10th consecutive year CMT has sponsored this tour. Tickets will officially go on sale August, 12th!

Tim McGraw and Dwight Yoakam On Film

Tim McGraw and Dwight Yoakam Team Up on The Big Screen! Tim McGraw and Dwight Yoakam will star in the upcoming film release “Dirty Girl” which hits theaters Friday, August 5th. The film is set in 1987, and chronicles the story of a young Oklahoma girl, Danielle played by Juno Temple, with a reputation for being promiscuous runs away from home with pal Clarke, played by Jeremy Dozier, to find the father she never knew. The film is definitely a comedy, definitely irreverent, but also a little heart-warming as well! Randy Houser Is Engaged

Randy Houser Is Making It Official and Gettin’ Hitched. Randy Houser, known for hits like “Boots On” and “Anything Goes“, recently announced his engagement to fellow singer-songwriter Jessa Lee Yantz. Apparently, the cat was let out of the bag by Jessa’s sister, Alicia, who reportedly tweeted a congratulations to her sis. This prompted fans to ask Houser if he was gettin’ hitched! Randy made an official announcement to People magazine in response. “I had no idea anyone would care that I’m engaged. But I want to thank everyone for their outreach and support regarding the news of our engagement. I finally found the person that I can’t be without.” Randy Houser Beyond this, the only details Houser has shared so far is that the couple are planning a small destination wedding in the Dominican Republic. Congrats Randy and Jessa!
