Trace Adkins Added to CMA TV Special Line-Up

Trace Adkins Included in Already Packed Line-Up for CMA Music Festival TV Special. Trace Adkins has joined the line-up of star-studded performances for the 2011 CMA Music Festival TV special, CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock. The special airs on August 14th(shifted from its original air date of August 7th) on ABC at 8pm(ET). As previously reported, the musical television event will feature footage from the 2011 Festival at LP Field in Nashville, TN as well as a performance line-up including Lauren Alaina, Jason Aldean, Sara Evans, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Scotty McCreery, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Reba, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Zac Brown, Dierks Bentley, Little Big Town, and now Trace Adkins. This television special allows fans the opportunity to enjoy the iconic CMA Music Festival from the comfort of their home (and air conditioning!), but for those die-hard fans who have to be in the thick of the action, tickets for the 2012 CMA Music Festival are already on sale! So, you better act quick!

Reba McEntire Performs at Brickyard 400

Reba Plus Other Big Machine Artists Set to Perform at Brickyard 400. Reba McEntire along with fellow Big Machine Label Group artists Rascal Flatts, The Band Perry and others are performing at the 2011 Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Sunday, July 31st from 9am to shortly after 1pm. Big Machine Records is the presenting sponsor of the race, so it makes complete sense that they would offer up some of their best for the pre-race entertainment. The label’s president, Scott Borchetta, is a long time supporter of racing, and the label actually sponsored the winning car in this year’s Indianapolis 500. Newbie Thomas Rhett kicks off the performances followed by The Band Perry, Brantley Gilbert, and Justin Moore. Reba performs “America the Beautiful” before Rascal Flatts finishes up the performances with their personalized rendition of the national anthem. At the close of the musical performances, Borchetta has the honor of waving the green flag marking the start of the races. This is sure to be a fun Sunday event for racing and country enthusiasts (not always exclusive!) alike!

RiverStomp Music Festival Details

Second Annual RiverStomp Music Festival in Watts, OK! The Second Annual RiverStomp Music Festival in Watts, OK is fast approaching scheduled for September 29th-October 2nd! The concert event is hosted by The Redneck Yacht Club and will feature a lengthy line-up of live music (see below for a complete list of performers), camping, swimming, fishing and plenty of other activities as well! The music will run all day and well into the night while participants have the opportunity to float on the mile of river available on the property (participants can choose from canoes, rafts or kayaks for use on the river!), grab a snack from food vendors or check out the fire dancers who will be making an appearance! Tickets are available to purchase in person in Fayetteville, AR at Sound Warehouse on the square and The Glass Station on College for $35. You may also purchase tickets in person in Siloam Springs at High Spirits Liqour and Movie Time! Tickets bought in Siloam Springs will be available for a “hometown special” ticket price of only $25. You may additionally purchase tickets online for $35 by clicking here. If all else fails, you can purchase tickets at the gate for $50. Camping is optional at $5 a night per person and available on a first come first serve basis. There is a mile of riverfront camping which will no doubt be claimed fast! Those who choose to bring a motorcycle will be charged $20 per person at the gate, and only street legal “street” bikes are allowed which excludes enduro’s and dirt bikes. Those who attend this year’s RiverStomp will have the chance to participate in a raffle to win a RiverStomp poster signed by of all of this year’s performers! Eric Church Releases Chief

Eric Church Releases His Third Album Chief. Eric Church‘s third studio album, Chief, was officially released today, Tuesday, July 26th. This album features a total of eleven tracks (of which he wrote or co-wrote each), and includes his current popular single, “Homeboy“. You will find a complete track listing below. In order to complete this album, Church secluded himself in a North Carolina cabin for a whole month! Eric celebrating the release of his new album in a July 26th performance at the Bowery Ballroom. 2012 CMA Music Fest Tickets On Sale

2012 CMA Music Fest Tickets Go On Sale This Week! The 2011 CMA Music Festival may have just wrapped up in June, but event organizers are already in full swing getting ready for next year’s country music concert event! The 2012 CMA Music Festival is scheduled for June 7th through 10th at Nashville’s LP Field, and tickets will officially go on sale Saturday, July 30th at 10am (central). The concert event includes four nights of all-star shows at LP Field in addition to four days of daily concerts at the Riverfront Park. During the week of the festival there are also many, many events, signings, and additional musical performances for fans to participate in and enjoy! The past two years of the CMA Fest (formerly known to country music fans as Fan Fair) have completely sold out! So, if you are planning to attend next year’s event, you may want to go ahead and secure your tickets early! Stay tuned for news and details on the concert and event line-ups. Kenny Chesney Writes Music For ESPN

Kenny Chesney Writes Theme Song for New Show on ESPN. Kenny Chesney is extending his talents to television theme-song writing! He has recently been tapped to write an original theme for the new ESPN program titled “Rise Up“. The show is a reality type program which will showcase schools across the country in need. The goal will be to provide the athletic departments of these schools with much needed make-overs. Chesney initially told the show’s executive producer Joan Lynch that writing the theme song was the hardest thing he had done. Yet, after watching one episode featuring a school in New Orleans, he managed to write the song in just two hours! Clearly, Chesney has found the show inspiring, and hopefully fans will as well. “Rise Up” will premiere on Tuesday, September 13th at 7pm (ET) on ESPN.

Kix Brooks Honored By Alma Mater

Kix Brooks To Be Special Guest Speaker At Alumni Gathering. In 1978, Kix Brooks, formerly of Brooks & Dunn, graduated from Louisiana Tech with a degree in Speech Communications, and he will be returning to the institution, 33 years after his graduating class, as a special guest speaker! Brooks will will the featured speaker at the 30th Annual Alumni and Fan Football Preseason Kick-Off. This event is considered the largest annual Louisiana Tech alumni gathering outside of the regular sporting events. So, this is quite an honor for the singer! Your Chance to Audition for The Voice Comes to Nashville! Auditions for Season 2 of the hit reality competition show The Voice are headed to Nashville, TN! It makes complete sense that the show would hit up Music City to search for talent for the next season as we all know Blake Shelton is one of the four (and our favorite) judges. Also, what better place is there than in a city where music is the back bone, heart, and soul to look for new talent? The Auditions will take place at the Municipal Auditorium on July 29th and 30th. However, you can’t just show up and expect to walk right in! You need to make sure that you register online first by clicking here. You will receive an Artist Audition Pass and a scheduled date and time to arrive for your audition. Participants are limited to those who are U.S. residents and 16 years or older. LeAnn Rimes Headlines ACM Benefit

LeAnn Rimes To Headline ACM Lifting Lives Concert. LeAnn Rimes is set to headline ACM’s first Lifting Lives Concert. The benefit will be held at Joe’s Bar in Chicago, IL, winner of the Academy of Country Music Nightclub of the Year Award. The venue has chosen to underwrite the cost of the event so that one-hundred percent of ticket sales can go to the charitable cause. The concert is scheduled for August 15th and will start at 7:30pm. ACM Lifting Lives is the charity associated with the Academy of Country Music with the mission of improving lives through the power of music. Every year, ACM Lifting Lives provides grants to music therapy and music education programs in addition to serving members of the country music community who face unexpected medical or financial hardship. Tickets for general admission are $25 and include appetizers and an open bar. VIP tickets run for $95 and include a premiere viewing area for the concert and a VIP reception to meet and greet the artist. Crystal Bowersox will also be performing in addition to Rimes.

Lady Antebellum New Album Details

Lady Antebellum Releases Details on Upcoming Album! Lady Antebellum has a new album coming out very soon! Titled “Own The Night” this marks the group’s third album release. All three members, Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott, claim a co-producer credit for the album in addition to having written ten of the twelve tracks! (You can check out the complete track listing below.) “This album was created from the ground up – we are writing these songs, playing these instruments and creating these arrangements…I think we share a real feeling of accomplishment both as a band and as friends.” -Dave Haywood Among the twelve tracks, this album includes Lady A’s current single “Just A Kiss“. This is the group’s fastest rising single to date and it is a current Top 10! The video was released just recently for this single, and you can click here to check it out. Lady A is currently on tour, but recently rescheduled their Friday, July 15th concert in Toledo, Ohio due to the death of Hillary Scott’s grandmother, Lois Davis, in Carthage, TX.
