Rascal Flatts Announce Brand New Summer Tour for 2011 Rascal Flatts have anounced their new summer tour for 2011, “Flatts Fest” which will kick off June 18th in Bristow, Virginia. So far, the show is set to run through September with a total of twenty-four dates and venues. The tour will include new production designs as well as a new set list. Also, to magnify the fun-filled atmosphere of the live concert experience, there will be pre-show festival and tailgating activities spread throughout the plaza and parking areas for all fans to participate in and make a whole day of it, including a mobile karaoke vehicle, carnival games, photo booths, putt putt golf, food vendors, and plenty of exciting contests. Dwight Yoakam Sings In New Duet with Michelle Branch Iconic country singer Dwight Yoakam, known over the past couple of decades not only for his considerable musical talent but also his acting capabilities, is featured on Michelle Branch‘s track “Long Goodbye“. “One of my favorite artists is Dwight Yoakam. When I was in the studio in Nashville, we met and I told him it would be a dream come true if he sang on my record. Next thing you know, he was in the studio singing “Long Goodbye” with me. Sarah Darling Performed at CARE’s International Women’s Day Sarah Darling performed last week for over a thousand advocates who gathered in Wahington, D.C. at CARE’s Conference and International Women’s Day Celebration. CARE is the leading humanitarian organization fighting poverty and has been in operation for over sixty years. The annual conference brings together activists from all over the nation, professionals in the media, politicians, corporations and leaders in global health aiming to support CARE’s goal of raising critical funding and creating programs to improve the lives of marginalized women and girls all over the globe. Former First Lady Laura Bush was among the attendees. The Tuesday night kick-off of the conference, marking the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day, featured a special concert with Sarah Darling as well as Crystal Bowersox, India.Arie, and Michael Franti. “It was amazing to look around the room and see women and girls from all over the world celebrating together. I feel very fortunate to have grown up having all of the things I needed. Sometimes we take those things for granted. It’s always good to be able to see the bigger picture and realize that there are a lot of people around the world hurting. Bush In an upcoming celebration, some of Country Music’s brightest stars are set to perform including Reba McEntire, Garth Brooks,Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker and Carrie Underwood. The event will also include other stars like Sheryl Crow, and Kid Rock, with more performances to be announced later. The event has been organized by The Points of Light Institute to honor the leadership of former President George H. W. Bush in the American service movement, and to highlight the role voluntary service plays in the betterment of our families and communities nationwide. Former presidents Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush are scheduled to attend as well as President Barack Obama, bringing five of America’s presidents together in the same venue for the first time since President Obama’s inauguration in 2008. The celebration will be taped live on March 21st at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington D.C., and will air Monday, March 28th on NBC. Jewel Unharmed By Collision with Fire Truck

Jewel Safe After Car Accident Jewel, who is pregnant with her first child with rodeo champion husband Ty Murray, is safe and sound after being involved in a wreck with a fire truck Friday in Texas. The fire truck was responding to a grass fire when it collided with the passenger side of Jewel’s SUV. Jewel went to the hospital immediately after the accident to confirm that she and her baby were fine, and tests confirmed, happily, that they were. Since the unfortunate accident, Jewel has kept fans up to date with regular tweets on her condition. “Dr said no working out, so I’m just going to take it easy…just a little sore and banged up – but feeling so blessed this morning.” -Jewel Jewel announced her pregnancy is January, and confirmed that she and her husband are expecting a baby boy. Brad Paisley Attends Memorial Service In Honor of Fan Brad Paisley attended the memorial service of Allison Greene, 31, who recently passed away after a battle with cancer. Greene, a wife and mother, had told friends as soon as she was well again, she would throw a celebration with Brad Paisley as entertainment. Greene’s family extended the invitation to Paisley via post on Facebook to attend the memorial service to help honor Greene’s memory. “When I was watching the video, through the video, it brought me to tears, and I thought, ‘Man, if I could just be there’. So they said, ‘Will you be there, Brad, Monday the 7th in Orange County?’ and I thought, yeah.
