I love a song with a good story and a good twist, and this one’s got both! The chorus is just a little bit sexy, and the video heats things up right along side it! If you like your country on the hotter end of the spectrum, I think you’ll like this one! At the same time though, there really is a sweet message at the center of this song! LeAnn Rimes Starts Work On New Album of Original Songs! LeAnn Rimes is headed to the studio next month to start recording a new album of original music! All the song-writing is done, and now she just has to sit down and hammer out those vocals. Last year, Rimes released the impressive project of covers, Lady & Gentlemen, where she tackled some of country music’s most iconic hits from the male greats in the industry. We were super proud of her for taking on such a creative concept, and of course, she totally blew it out of the water! (Catch HaleighT’s review here.) Sure, a lot of what we’ve heard from LeAnn for awhile now has been gossip and “non-stories” mostly spread by paparazzi. However, no amount of bad press will ever change the fact that Rimes is still one of the most talented and gifted female artists the country music scene has had the pleasure of claiming. CMNB definitely can’t wait to see what she’ll offer up with this new album!

I don’t know about you, but when I listen to Luke Bryan‘s spring break single, “Suntan City“, I can practically feel the sunshine and smell the ocean!! This song is sure to make everyone wish it was time for a vacation to the beach! For those of us who are still just pining, and not headed to stick our toes in the sand anytime soon…Bryan gives us little relief with his new video. It’s almost enough to make you feel like you’re actually there. Well, at least for the duration of the song. Adam Hood Releases Video for Soulful Single, Hell of a Fight. Adam Hood has released the video for his current single, “Hell of a Fight“. This single comes off of Hood’s second studio album, The Shape of Things, which released in 2011, and it is the follow up single to his “Flame and Gasoline“. You might have caught Adam when he was on tour for select dates with Miranda Lambert, or maybe you heard him when was on the Country Throwdown Tour with Willie Nelson in 2011. Or maybe you haven’t heard of him just yet. But really, you should take a couple minutes to check out the video below. Hood has had a career that is part plain ole’ hard work, and part plain ole’ luck. The first album he ever released was self-financed, and he developed his talents in singing and songwriting while working in his native Alabama. He has put a whole lot of effort into the honing of his chosen craft, but he has had some lucky run-ins along with way with producers and other artists (ahem, Lambert caught his set at a club in Texas when she had to stop due to car troubles, and that’s how he got on her tour!). Kix Brooks is hot on the trail of ex-fellow group mate, Ronnie Dunn, as he is set to release his first solo attempt since the two dissolved their duo. His new single is titled “New To This Town” and will hit country radio on March 19th! Now, Ronnie has really set the bar high for Brooks! He released his debut album, and it has been immensely successful. Success isn’t a hard thing to come by though, when you release such a quality piece of work! So, what do you think? Here Is The Video For Canaan Smith’s “We Got Us!” For those of you who haven’t heard of Canaan Smith, let us introduce you! “We Got Us” is his very first single and it was released to country radio back in January. At first glance, some to the core country fans might say this guy is not “country.” He doesn’t have on boots and he wears scarves, well I say take a listen to some of his stuff before you make your decision. This first single has some killer fiddle and the actual story that the lyrics tell is a country song if I’ve ever heard one. He was named one of the top 12 artists to watch in 2012 by Country Weekly so I’m interested to see what we will be seeing… Here is the video, take a look!

Garth Brooks’ The Dance Gets A Little Love From JT Hodges. JT Hodges has taken on the Garth Brooks classic, “The Dance“. He did this special recording just for Valentine’s Day as a kind of Valentine to all his fans. I know, we’re getting this up a day late, but it’s better late than never, right? Besides this song is a classic, and its worth taking a listen any ole day! Additionally, Hodges has released another single, “Goodbyes Made You Mine“, and it’s currently available on iTunes. This track has that kind of rock undertone that you can find in his other songs, but it still maintains an almost sweet sentiment. One of the things I really like about JT is the genuine quality in his voice, that gives an original feel to his music that you don’t get from a lot of singers.
