Lee Brice’s Sophomore Album, Hard 2 Love, Releases This Spring. Lee Brice will be releasing his sophomore album, Hard 2 Love this spring! His current single, “A Woman Like You” is featured on the upcoming release along with twelve other tracks (see the complete list below!), and it will be available April 24th. Brice had a lot of celebrity help with songwriting with Eric Church, Jerrod Niemann, Billy Montana, John Ozier, and Jon Stone all contributing to various tracks. He co-wrote eight of the songs. Rosie and Me: Country Music Around the World

Rosie and Me, Taking a Closer Look at Artists from Around the World. For obvious reasons, we spend a lot of time keeping up with the country and folk artists here in the good ole U.S. of A. But there are a lot of them out there in the lands beyond our borders too. These musicians and performers are talented and gifted, and we’d like to take the time to give them a bit of a shout-out! To kick off what will hopefully be a weekly post, I have chosen a group that will be featured at next week’s SXSW (March 13th – 18th), Rosie and Me. They’re from Brazil and include, Rosanne Machado (vocals/acoustic guitars/banjo), Ivan Camargo (acoustic guitars), Thomas Kossar (electric guitars), Guilherme Miranda (bass guitars) and Tiago Barbosa (drums/perc). They’re music is not country (definitely not in a Carrie Underwood or Jason Aldean kind of way). Their brand of music is folk, and its even kind of a pop infused folk. It has an honest, soul-touching honesty to it, and you can’t deny that Machado knows how to play that banjo! So far they’ve released a 5-track EP, Bird and Whale and full 10-track album, Arrow of My Ways. You can hear the first track of the album in the video below, and let us know what ya think. Check Out New Video from Julie Roberts, “Whiskey and You”. Julie Roberts‘ single “Whiskey and You” really is a classic country kind of song complete with a long-suffering tale, plenty of twang and well-written lyrics. Not to mention, Roberts’ soulful, alto voice carries a weight you wouldn’t expect from such a fresh, young lookin’ gal. There’s definitely more there than meets the eye, and its a great song with a good video to match (watch it below!). Kenny Chesney New Album Summer 2012

Kenny Chesney Will Debut New Album Summer 2012! Well, we were already excited about Kenny Cheney and his Brothers of the Sun Tour with Tim McGraw, but it looks like he’s got even more in store for us this summer, a new album! This new record follows up on Chesney’s hugely successful Hemingway’s Whiskey, and is at this point still untitled. Fans can expect to get their ears on the new music on June 19th!’ In the meantime, Chesney’s tour with McGraw will kick off on June 2nd in Tampa, FL. See below for complete ticket info!

Kip Moore Sets Release Date for Debut Album! You’ve probably heard Kip Moore‘s single, “Somethin’ Bout A Truck“, and if you like it, you’re in luck! The single belongs on Moore’s debut record, Up All Night, and he has just announced it will release April 24th! Kip has put a lot of heart and soul into this album, and he is understandably excited about getting it out there for fans to enjoy! “The song doing great is a huge accomplishment, but the fact that I’m getting to release a whole record, something I’ve put so much energy into over the years, is the biggest accomplishment in my music career thus far. I am so excited for people to get a chance to hear this record because I feel like it is an emotional record and I want to be able to move people like the records moved me growing up.” -Kip Moore If the rest of the album is anything like what we’ve heard so far, I think this is one album I’ll have on repeat all summer long! Kacey Musgraves On Tour With John Mayer

Kacey Musgraves Has Been Announced As The Sole Opener On John Mayer’s 2012 U.S. Tour! Kacey Musgraves has just been announced as the sole opener for John Mayer’s 2012 U.S. Tour! “I can’t wait to get out on the road with John Mayer. To be given this opportunity to tour with a musician and songwriter that I have such high respect for is a dream come true.” -Musgraves The Mercury/Lost Highway recording artist just had her debut performance at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville during the annual Country Radio Seminar. The singer/songwriter performed her stirring track “Merry Go Round” and received a standing ovation! For those of you who “think” you aren’t familiar with Musgraves, guess again. She co-wrote “Mama’s Broken Heart” on Miranda Lambert’s album Four The Record and “When You Love A Sinner” on Martina McBride’s album Eleven. She also is the female vocalist featured on Josh Abbot Band’s hit single “Oh, Tonight!” Musgraves is currently in the studio working on her debut album that will be released later this year. Miranda Lambert Over You Music Video

Here Is The Official Music Video For Miranda Lambert’s Latest Single, “Over You!” The Lambert/Shelton families have dealt with a lot of loss over the last few months and it comes as a coincidence that “Over You” was released when it was. Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton co-wrote the emotional song, which is about the passing of Shelton’s older brother Richie. Shelton has said many times that he could have never recorded it himself because of the pain it would cause him to sing it on stage every night. The song is very powerful and every time I hear it, it strikes an emotional chord with me (that’s the thing about country lyrics, so many people can relate in their own way). The first time I saw the video I had full on goosebumps! From the back-story of the song to the cemetery setting…this is definitely a video you have to see! Rascal Flatts Get A Little Wild in New Video for Banjo. Rascal Flatts has released the video for their brand new single, “Banjo“, and its kind of crazy ride. The concept for this video is really fun with Gary Levox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney all filling different “jobs”, and somehow managing to end up singing about a Banjo. Now, I will admit the leggy scantily clad banjo player intercut throughout the video is kind of overkill, and LeVox basically ends up muddin’ in the back roads of Nashville in a tour bus full of sight seers which is a little absurd. At the same time though, they definitely get points for an original idea, and doing something I really didn’t expect! Check it out below, and see what you think. Are you a fan of their new single?
