Aaron Lewis Solo Album The Road

Aaron Lewis’ Solo Album The Road And His New Single, “Endless Summer” Music Video! Aaron Lewis is set to release his much anticipated, full length album June 26. The Road includes 10 new songs and was produced by Lewis and James Stroud. Lewis had originally planned to record 5 new songs to be paired with his EP Town Line, but after recording in the studio, more song ideas began to unfold. Lewis wrote all of the songs on this upcoming album except “Grandaddy’s Gun,” which was penned by hit Nashville songwriters Dallas Davidson, Rhett Akins and Bobby Pinson. This marks the first time Lewis has ever recorded another artist’s song for an album! He heard the song on a hunting trip with Stroud and Akins and identified with the lyrics so much that he asked Akins permission to cut it. Blake Shelton’s Drink On It

The Story Behind Blake Shelton’s Latest Single “Drink On It!” I don’t know about everyone else, but I have been in love with Blake Shelton’s “Drink On It” ever since Red River Blue came out last summer! The song is great and like nothing else that is on the radio right now. We at CMNB can’t wait for the video to come out, but until then we thought you might like to know a little more about the song from Blake himself! Here is a clip where Blake talks about how he got his hands on this little ditty!

Shania Twain and Lionel Richie Endless Love Video

Shania Twain Teams Up with Lionel Richie For Endless Love. As I am sure you are aware, Lionel Richie has released a country duets album titled Tuskegee, so named after his hometown in Alabama. After decades of singing and producing in other genres, this industry veteran has apparently decided to take a walk on the country side of things. Whoever is in charge of marketing this puppy has been pushing it hard (remember when Richie got a whole set during the CMA Awards?), but the album just released March 18th, so its a bit early to say whether or not all the pushing has been successful. The album features a parade of duets with some of country’s past and current biggest stars from Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers and Jimmy Buffet to Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw and Jason Aldean. He also covers the classic “Endless Love” with Shania Twain, and the video for this particular tune just released. It is…well, dramatic and also a bit silly featuring a horse…the beach…a black and white kind of motif and even some slow motion. I am honestly not trying to be mean, but I really did laugh out loud when Lionel leaves the house and runs to the beach where Shania is galloping up on a horse (from the ocean?). Although, Shania is one of the queens of 90’s country, so maybe its an homage to the era…the vibe is definitely there. I’m really just not sold on the whole Lionel-Richie-Is-Going-Country thing. I might be alone in this though because from what I’ve read listeners seem to be responding positively. What do you think? Shania Twain Sings “Endless Love” with Lionel Richie. Sarah Darling Blackbird Video

Sarah Darling Video for Cover of Classic, “Blackbird”. Sarah Darling has covered the classic, “Blackbird” from the Beatles‘ iconic White Album, and this cover is part of the Linda McCartney tribute album, Let Us In Nashville, which you can read more about here. I have to say that it is really hard to improve on musical legends like the Beatles, but Darling clearly isn’t trying to improve anything (why fix it if it aint broke?!?). She simply brings her own talent to the table, and offers an alternate version of the song that is mellow, pleasant and heart felt. This song suits her vocals wonderfully, and it really was a good choice for her! Check out the recently released video below and see if you agree. Sarah Darling, “Blackbird“. Luke Bryan Drunk On You Video

Luke Bryan’s Drunk On You Music Video Is Here! Luke Bryan’s latest single, “Drunk On You,” has been getting just as much attention as the rest of his singles from his Tailgates & Tanlines album released in the summer of 2011. The music video is the follow up to his mega-hit “I Don’t Want This Night To End!” The song, along with all of the others on this album, is beyond catchy! It will get stuck in your head, but it will be a good thing (trust me). Watch the video here! Drunk on You – Luke Bryan – Luke Bryan Videos

Neil Young and Crazy Horse New Album

Neil Young and Crazy Horse Announce New Album Release. Neil Young and Crazy Horse have a new album coming out for the first time in very nearly nine years! This album is appropriately titled, Americana and is scheduled for a June 5th release date. Josh Turner Time Is Love Video

The Music Video For Josh Turner’s Latest Single, “Time Is Love,” Is Here! When I first think of Josh Turner two things come to mind… 1. His Voice! He has one of those unmistakable voices that make people say “WOW!” I (along with a good majority of the world) love it! 2. His Attitude! It seems like he is always smiling and laughing. He is a family man who really enjoys what he does. We don’t hear about him in the gossip mags because that just isn’t his style! With that being said…I’m really digging this song! I think it is a perfect reflection of who he is! “Time Is Love“ gets two thumbs up from me! If you haven’t heard it then here you go…

Jessica Rae “24 Hour Church (In Memphis)” Video

Newcomer, Jessica Rae Releases Video for “24 Hour Church (In Memphis)”. Jessica Rae‘s single, “24 Hour Church (In Memphis)” speaks to finding hope and help even after hitting rock bottom. This song has kind of a 90’s country feel to it, and its a pretty uplifting song, definitely worth a listen! Rae is a Chicago native and full of talent from singing and songwriting to being an accomplished musician (including violin but you’ll see her playin’ guitar in the video!). She’s not exactly new to the scene with two EP releases in 2008 (2008 Sessions) and 2009 (Ruby Red), but this tune comes from her first full self-titled album which released last year. I for one would like to hear more from Jessica! Watch the video below and see if you agree! Watch Jessic Rae, “24 Hour Church (In Memphis)”. [youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?&v=uQUpQq3Ghy0]

Pistol Annies Hunger Games Track, “Run Daddy Run”

Listen to Pistol Annies’ Tune Featured on Hunger Games Soundtrack! Miranda Lambert is among the artists featured on the soundtrack of upcoming teen fiction sensation turned film, The Hunger Games! Lambert along with Pistol Annies bandmates Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley sing the mournful (well, considering the context of the film, most of the songs on this album are mournful…) and haunting “Run Daddy Run“. As usual their harmony is absolutely perfect! You can get a sneak peak at the trio’s track below! The album is currently available for pre-order and is “expected” (that’s iTunes’ phrasing) to release on March 20th. As you probably already know, fellow country crooners Taylor Swift and The Civil Wars are also featured on the soundtrack with single “Safe and Sound“.
