Sugarland Perform 2011 “CMA Country Christmas”

Sugarland Joins Line-up of Performers for 2011 “CMA Country Christmas. Not only will Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland be hosting the 2011 “CMA Country Christmas“, but she, and the other half of the Sugarland duo, Kristian Bush, are also joining the line-up of performers for the holiday special! They are set to perform the Christmas classic, “Silent Night“. Other performers include Lauren Alaina, Amy Grant, Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Kellie Pickler, Little Big Town, Scotty McCreery, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, and Vince Gill. The Christmas special will air on ABC on Thursday, December 1st at 9pm ET.

Blake Shelton Performs Footloose for CMT Invitation Only. You may have gotten a chance to watch Blake Shelton perform “Footloose” live on the 2011 CMA Awards, but that’s not the only place Shelton has been performing this track! In a recent performance for a much smaller audience, Blake performed his new, hit cover of the classic for CMT’s “Invitation Only“ on Monday, November 14th. The song is quite catchy in its original format, but I have to say, Shelton gives a certain spice to the song you simply will not find in the classic version. Martina McBride Performs I’m Gonna Love You Through It on ABCs Dancing With The Stars. Martina McBride‘s album Eleven released October 11th, and she stopped by ABC’s Dancing With The Stars on Tuesday, October 25th to perform one of the singles off this album, “I’m Gonna Love You Through It“. This particular track of the album is especially important this month as it speaks to the struggle of fighting cancer, and the power and strength of love in this battle. 2011 American Country Awards

2011 American Country Awards Nominations, Dates, Voting Details and More! The 2nd Annual American Country Awards Nominations have been announced, and fan voting is open! The ACAs offer a wide variety of categories like those offered by the CMA Awards and the CMT Awards, but with other previously unrecognized categories like “Touring”. Voting will remain open until Friday, November 11th in all categories except Artist of the Year. Voting for the Artist of the Year category will remain open until, Friday, December 2nd, two before the live show airs. Fans are able to vote in each category once daily until the deadline. For a complete list of all the nominations and categories, see below. Thw 2011 ACAs will feature Kristen Chenoweth and Trace Adkins as hosts, and will air live on Monday, December 5th at 8pm ET on Fox. It will be a two-hour live awards special aired out of Las Vegas at the MGM Grand, and it will feature performances and appearances from all of the current year’s chart topping artists! CMT Artists Of The Year

CMT Reveals Their Artists Of The Year. CMT will honor Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift and Brad Paisley as the top artists of the year. CMT Artists Of The Year will premier December 13 at 9:00pm ET/PT and will last 90 minutes. The honorees were chosen by ranking them based on the following criteria: sales (physical albums, digital albums and single downloads); country radio airplay based on spins; concert grosses as a headliner or co-headliner; and activity on cmt.com (video streams, searches, and artist page views). The rankings were then compiled to identify the leading performers across the four categories cumulatively. Congratulations to the 5 acts that will be celebrated in early December! Kellie Pickler Guest On Ellen

Kellie Pickler Guests On The Ellen Degeneres Show. Kellie Pickler is out and about promoting her single “Tough” and the release of it’s brand new video, and she stopped by The Ellen Degeneres Show Tuesday, October 4th. Now, if you’ve ever watch The Ellen Show, you know Ellen likes to get up to some pretty crazy hijinks, and always likes to have a little fun with her guests (this is definitely not your average talk show!). I really think the test of an easy-going individual is whether or not they are really willing to just go with it, and join in the joke with Ellen, even if they are the punch-line in the joke. Kellie Pickler is definitely one of these easy going individuals. Besides the interview, and performing “Tough“, Kellie also let Ellen and her assistants give her a “spa treatment” on stage. Now, this was not your run of the mill spa treatment, and really ended up looking more like an episode of “I Love Lucy“. Yet, Kellie went with it, and was a good sport for the sake of the humor! This little sketch really show cased Pickler’s personality and how personable she can be! You can check out the video clip of the “spa treatment” and Kellie’s live performance of “Tough” below. I suggest you watch both! Martina McBride Next Star on CMTs Invitation Only. Martina McBride will be the next country star featured on CMT‘s “Invitation Only“. The series features one artist per episode and includes that star’s performances of their all time hits as well as their newer music. Each episode also includes an informal question and answer sessions between the artists and fans. The episode is taped in Nashville with a small, live studio audience. Martina will be the artist taking the stage in the upcoming episode, and she will be performing her hits like “This One’s for the Girls,” “Love’s the Only House” and “Wrong Baby Wrong” in addition to new singles “I’m Gonna Love You Through It” and “Teenage Daughters”. Her most recent singles are off of her album, Eleven, which will be released on October 11th. Martina’s episode of “Invitation Only” will air Monday, October 17th at 10pm/11pm ET/PT on CMT.

Kellie Pickler On 90210

Kellie Pickler Guest Stars On 90210. Kellie Pickler is hitting the music scene with her recent single “Tough“, and she is also starting to branch out by cultivating her acting talent. Pickler will be guest starring on the CW remake of 90210. She will be filling the role of Sally, a (not surprising) country singing cousin of season regular Austin (played by Justin Deeley). Besides getting to see Kellie showcase her acting skills, viewers will also get to see a special performance of “Tough“. The episode will air October 18th on the CW Network, so check local listings for details on times! Pickler will preview clips of the upcoming episode on her appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show on Tuesday, October 4th.

Tom’s Wild Life On GAC

I Have To Share With You One Of My New Favorite Shows! First of all I’m going to admit that I am a bit of a reality TV junky…yes, I’m guilty! One of my new favorite shows is “Tom’s Wild Life” on GAC! The series was premiered Sunday, September 18 and is hilarious! It is a reality show that is based on Tom McMillan’s life and outfitting business. Each episode includes him, his family and friends (usually from the country music world) hanging out and hunting! The first episode we are introduced to Tom and his friendship with Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert. We are invited to their Halloween party as well as a successful hunting trip! The second episode features Josh Kelly, Miranda Lambert’s parents, tattoos, fly fishing and turkeys. This past Sunday Tom was joined by Ashley Monroe, Miranda Lambert and Angaleena Presley, the ladies of Pistol Annies! It is just a fun show that has me laughing the entire time, so I thought I’d share it with you in case you were looking for a new Sunday night program. It comes on at 9/8c on GAC every Sunday!
